The issue in GetHuman-vicnun's own words
On Monday ** October **** after unsuccessfully trying to book accommodation the first time, I tried a second time to book accommodation through the AGODA APP on my cellphone.**The second time around I booked for accommodation at Langebaan Apartments in Langebaan, South Africa (ref no. *********) at a total cost of R ***. **Using the AGODA APP on my cellphone, I used the map function to direct me to the Langebaan Apartments. The map directed me to * Heron Street in Langebaan. Unfortunately it was not the Langebaan Apartments that I was expecting, but an empty piece of land.**I immediately phoned the AGODA call centre and spoke to an agent. I outlined the situation. She advised me that she would follow up and revert to me immediately. I waited for some time and received no call back or response to my concern.**It was late and I was cold and tired, and could no longer wait. I decided to make a third booking through the AGODA APP. While I was at the third establishment, I finally received a call back from the AGODA call centre and advised her to cancel the second booking and that I was booked into the third establishment.**Unfortunately AGODA still went ahead and deducted the full amount of R *** from my credit card. **When I followed up with Langebaan Apartments this morning, I was advised that the money was deducted from my credit card by AGODA and not them. They have no control over this matter. They advised me to follow up with you directly.**Please kindly refund me ASAP the full amount of R *** for this transaction that never materialised. This is not any of my doing and I should not suffer the consequences of something that was outside of my control.
