aeroplan **********Thanks in advance for sorting out my problem (below), which has been caused by your current problems with the telephone Contact Centre!***Over the past week, I have been trying to contact the Contact Center to change the date on the return leg of an upcoming flight booked with rewards.***I phoned dozens of times, and every time, there was no response - there was simply an automated message saying the phones were too busy to even put me on hold. Because no representatives were available by phone, the message invited me to resolve the issue myself, using the self-service tools on the Aeroplan website.***With the Contact Centre unreachable by phone at any time of day or night for days on end, I went ahead and used the website as suggested by your recorded message. However, no feature to actually perform the function of changing a ticket appeared on the website* therefore, my only option was to book a new ticket and cancel*refund the return leg of the first one. I successfully booked a new (one way) ticket for the date to which I needed to change my original ticket- but I then discovered it was impossible to cancel and refund the return leg of my original ticket online.***The result of no customer access to your customer service phone line now means that I have two tickets for the same flight several days apart, which is obviously no use to anyone. This has caused me inconvenience, anxiety and extra expense.***Clearly, I am not the only customer currently experiencing problems with your Contact Centre as you migrate to a new system.***Please can you resolve this situation.***The booking reference for the ticket which I needed to change (and can now be cancelled and refunded) is QR*M*V (November **, HND-YYJ)***Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to hearing back from you!
