So due to the beginning of the pandemic I was required to work from home and I need a good internet connection for meetings etc. (Which I still need currently) So I went to the local At&t store to see what they offered. (I was assured by the At&t Facebook team via messenger my area had great coverage before I went) The Store Manager Jeremy was awesome when I stressed my concerns about reception due to I live in the country. (He allowed me to borrow a At&t cell phone to check signal.) As I drove close to the tower I had *-* bars w* * G signal. But just as I drove past I lost complete signal with thier cell all the way down the road. A tower shouldn't only work one direction right? So I drove back to the store let the Store Manager know what happened. He said "He would report it and get it fixed". He also stated "Tons of people down my road have been coming in the store complaining about the signal loss out there". So apparently by using a device of At&t it showed issues and the Store Manager said he had tons of complaints. He also said the tower in a neighboring town was down as well. (So * tower issues in my area) **Why is this towers not being fixed??? I called after *-* weeks waiting for a response and I was told the tower was active. That it was working great and no reports were done on it at all. As well as At&t customer service hung up on me for asking about it. (They could care less about you once they learn you're not buying something) Not to mention we just had a tornado hit my area we've been out of power for * days straight. And my neighbor who has At&t couldn't call to get his power outage reported because guess what???? NO SIGNAL. Lord forbid he was trapped in his home from a tree landing on his house. He had to call off my cell to report his outage. So apparently the tower isn't active and good. He said hes been having signal issues since the end of Feb ****. **I just need internet service and someone from At&t who gives a **** to help this situation. It's sad to be a possible new customer and get treated like **** in the process. I can definitely tell from the treatment they could care less unless you hand over money. At&t customer service told me to just get service and wait til it gets fixed. And I was hung up on when I voiced my concern about the tower not being fine. (Why would someone buy something that doesn't work???)
