The issue in GetHuman-sandthem's own words
I have been an AT&T customer since ****. I called today because, after internet research, I was still unable to record a voicemail greeting on my iPhone (for whatever reasons, the previous one dropped off). I was on the phone for * hours! And, no one at AT&T solved my problem. Worse, an AT&T tech deleted my saved voice messages - which were voicemails from people I loved who are now deceased. No one at AT&T told me they were deleting my voicemails nor that they could not be retrieved. So now, not only do I have no resolution to my IT issue (still can’t record and save a greeting even after AT&T’s “interference”) I have lost all of my carefully saved voice mails. And, AT&T just told me “sorry,” go to an AT&T store. Well, I don’t usually go to an AT&T Store because their store workers could hardly care. I guess no one at AT&T cares. *What angers me and brings me to tears is AT&T erasing my saved voice mails of friends and family - without telling me and without explaining why.*After * hours, I was talking to my *th AT&T employee (who promised to call me back) when the phone went dead. Gee, it was after hours... And, gee, she never called me back. *I used to champion AT&T, now hoping to dump them as soon as possible. Worst customer care I have ever received and find it illegal that they deleted information from my phone without explaining to me first. Absolutely done.
