The issue in GetHuman-carthur's own words
I have been with A T & T since **** with the exception of six months when service to my area was shut down due to roaming charges by a small independent phone company that they bought six months later and I was able to go back to A T & T. I started with * phones on my account when all my children were home. In july, ****, I was doubled billed ($***.** on July *, and $ $***.** on July **), for services on my mobile telephone bill ***-***-****. After endless hours on the phone with representatives that finally told me it was an executive decision by the home office and I was going to have to pay it!! I contested the second charge on my American Express bill and they told me they could definitely see the double charge. A T & T called me in October and said that I was right and blamed the whole thing on a computer glitch by American Express and that they had credited my Amex for $***.** and then, they rebilled me the same $***.** on my October bill creating a late bill!!!!!! I called today and was transferred four times and finally told that the July charge was put back on because It was a legitimate charge. The male representative went on to say he explains this daily to hundreds of customers!! The representative before him was a woman named Jasmine. She was the most rude representative I’ve encountered yet. She told me repeatedly to be quiet and she was going to hang up if I didn’t quit interrupting!! I’m ** years old and my husband and I had our own corporation for ** years building McDonalds for the last five years before retiring. I am an accountant and I know when I’m being billed ** payments in ** months. I have contacted an attorney and stopped payment on this last re-billed charge and I feel that a company I’ve always loved is headed for a huge law suit. You can look at my account and see exactly what happened and see the mountains of notes on the account due to endless of hours of talking to people who either transfer the call or just hang up. The lady who called and told me that she had credited my American Express introduced herself as a representative of the federal office of A T & T ?? I immediately told her that the charge she removed had already been re-billed she said she could see that but couldn’t take it off until it had been contested with another ticket made. She said she could definitely see the charge and would take it off if she could. She said she would make a new ticket and someone would call me but no one did. They told me today in collections that the contested charge had been denied and no one even called me?? I want you to refund my ***.** and not re-bill it again. I do not expect to pay ** times for ** monthly payments and I don’t think you would either!!!
