I am an AT&T wireless, DirectTV and high speed internet customer. My monthly bill around $***. I have an ongoing problem with DirecTV. The list of recorded programs on my Genie DVR drops items from the list. After a few days, most of the items are gone from the list. I can only restore the list by unplugging the DVR, plugging it in again and waiting **-** minutes for it to restart. I have to do this every day to get a complete list of recorded programs. I have had this problem for over a month. DirectTV support says this is a known problem and is "being worked on". They will not give me a date when it will be fixed except that it will be "at least a month". I'm now looking at ROKU and Amazon streaming services as a reliable alternative for DirecTV. Is that the right thing for me to do to get good service?
