Hello: I am emailing a complaint to you regarding multiple issues on Wednesday the ** new of this year. I would like to add that my parent, Marjorie and Carleton Williams (** River St in Thomaston Ct), We traveled all over the nation and Canada with yourTrip-Tiks as the Bible! It was drilled into my head that You were the "be all and end all of safety"! On the **nd, I found out that you are anything but that and I am very disappointed. I'm reporting this to the BBB and CT Senator Blumenthal and the Commission on Aging. My dog and I went to Campbell Falls State Park in Norfolk to take pictures of the Falls As I parked by the stone bridge atop the Falls, my **** Subaru Forrester died. Campbell Hill Rd is a narrow dirt road. You enter in Norfolk and exit in MA. There are no secret roads to get out on. A desolate, unlit road in the middle of nowhere surrounded by animals that would have loved to make this short, fat woman and her dog a tasty snack and at dark, surely would have. Because of the location, there was no cell service. My phone had a *% charge. Had my charger- car was dead!! Had no Ac on this humid day because- the car was dead! I will add that Ihave A-Fib, A-Flutter, SVT, Sarcoidosis in my lungs, COPD, Asthma, Diabetes and a pacemaker. I need AC as does my dog. I called the **** on my card and after a ** minute wait due to "heavier than expected call volumes", I am greeted by a very rude woman who repeatedly over talked me. She wasn't interested in hearing WHERE I WAS, but where she SAID I was! I clearly described the road, the stone bridge, my dog and myself as well as telling her *-* times that my phone was dying any second. Her response? "Is there an email we can message you on if there's an issue"? On a dying phone? As I said, she didn't hear or listen to anything I said. She told me someone from Arnold's Garage would be there in ** minutes. Again, my call went out at **:** to her. By *:** pm, AAA from Arnold's would arrive. Because of my health issues, I carry water in a cooler for the pup and I as well as pillows and a blanket. I was only going to be gone an hour so I did not bring my Insulin. I had rescue inhalers, tissues and dog treats along with OFF wipes for bugs The area is ledge, mountainous terrain and water. I called after * hours with another "longer than normal wait time". My first words were that my phone is going to die. She responded that they've been trying to find me but they couldn't so they left after ** minutes! It's getting dark now. I was quite upset and said whoever they sent is lying. There is * road in OR out. It is a STATE PARK that is noted with STATE PARK SIGNS!!! They are a national sign. Hard to miss I'd say. I asked if it was your policy to just abandon people when a driver says they can't find them. After reiterating that my phone was going to conk out, I asked if she could call the state police and she said NO- that's up to you!!! Isn't that nice? You should be proud! I text my daughter and tell her to call State Police now!! The phone died then and there. My dog and I walked a mile and a half until we found a driveway. I screamed hello until someone answered. She drove down from her mountain top home, loaded the pup and I into her keep and drove to my car. She boosted me and it started right up. Cables removed--dead! She promised to return in a bit. I sat behind the wheel crying at this point. It's dark. My dog and I are alone in the woods. No medicines because who dreamt that the car would die. On the stone bridge, a car pulls up to the end, parks and a smaller, middle aged man gets out wearing green German LEDERHOSEN with something circular and metallic hanging on the side like handcuffs. He was walking toward my car slowly but steadily He got about ** feet from my car and the woman in the keep flew around the corner. I asked if she saw him and she said she sure did and what an outfit. We turned together another look and he and his minivan were gone. We stared at each other and she jumped the car again to no avail! I asked if she would call the State Troopers when she got home and was able to get a signal but before she could, a CT Trooper came down the road. My daughter called them and had spoken to * of your people to get someone out to me. A non AAA station about * miles away was called by the Police and had my car on a flatbed in ** minutes My daughter and her * wee ones met me at his garage where the car still sits I don't know what he will find but no one from AAA would even attempt to find me. After charging my phone, there were * voicemails from various dispatchers in your company. Nine! I kept them. No one can believe the collection of lies, errors and stupidity that came from your people. One of the calls said it was difficult for his driver to find me so would I please drive to the end of the road so they could be flagged down!!! Well, I'd love to but if you look at the reason for the call, MY DAMNED CAR IS DEAD! Yet another call from your dispatcher said the name of an entirely different company that will come but they're waiting until their night man comes in! It's ** hour service! Wait* more hours for the night man. Where in **** was the day man? And still, a third company *from Torrington was dispatched and never came. A* or something like that. The Trooper asked what was going on and because I hadn't eaten all day and my sugar was so low, his priority was to get me to the garage. If my daughter hadn't called the police, I'd be dead and so would my dog. If you type Campbell Falls into Google... it's there ** times over. Your dispatchers can't Google OR call the police to follow through on a stranded motorist? Who trains these people? Isn't your goal to help stranded people and get them home or to safety? The last woman I spoke with, that refused to call the police had the audacity to ask if felt safe. I said,"what's the difference? You refuse to call the police and no one will come for me. What are you going to do about keeping me safe? Idiot! You should be real proud of the crew I had to deal with on the **nd. I didn't get home until darned near *:** because of the incompetence of your organization. This is who you've become a symbol of in this generation. **Marjorie Root*** pine Street Torrington, CT. *****
