The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services has an unemployment insurance program for those citizens of Wyoming who meet the state's eligibility requirements. As long as you meet those requirements, you can receive temporary unemployment benefits lasting up to 26 weeks. After you have submitted your unemployment application, you may want to check on its status a few times, so you can know what your financial situation is as soon as possible. Requirements for Receiving Unemployment Benefits in Wyoming

  • You must have become unemployed through no fault of your own. Examples of such no-fault unemployment include getting laid off because of costs and getting laid off because of a public health crisis.
  • You must have worked for at least 2 quarters during the last year,
  • You must have earned at least $3,350 during the last year.
  • You must apply for work with a minimum of two different employers every week.
  • You must accept any job offer you receive.
  • You must be able to work.
  • You must be registered at the Wyoming at Work website.
  • You must update your account at least once every 90 days.
