Review and remove any linked devices or unauthorized sessions. You may also want to enable two-factor authentication for added security. If the warning persists after these steps, we recommend checking the in-app security section or following any further prompts provided by WeChat.

To log into your WeChat account when you forgot your password, you can tap on "Log in" and then choose the "Forgot password?" option. Follow the prompts to reset your password, which may involve verifying your identity through a linked phone number or email address. Once you complete the verification process, you can create a new password to regain access to your account.

To recover your WeChat account while outside of China, you can use the option to reset your password through the WeChat app. Go to the login screen, select "Forgot Password?" and follow the prompts. You will need access to the Chinese phone number linked to your account to receive a verification code. If you cannot access your phone number, account recovery may be challenging.

WeChat does not provide a feature to view a contact's phone number directly within the app for privacy reasons. You can ask your contact directly for their phone number if you need it.
