How do I update my payment information on Thumbtack?

Adding a Credit Card on Thumbtack

If you have a new credit card or another credit card you'd like to use for payments, you can add it on Thumbtack. To begin the process of adding a credit card to your Thumbtack profile, follow these easy steps:

1. Open the Thumbtack Pro app

Launch the Thumbtack Pro app on your mobile device. Using the application is simple, as it has a user-friendly interface with easily accessible features. The application is also free to download and install. Most devices automatically save login credentials, so logging into your account only takes a short while. 

2. Go to Your Profile

After opening the app, navigate to your profile. This can be found by tapping your profile picture or selecting the profile option from the menu. Your profile contains your information and other relevant details of your account.

3. Tap the Gear Icon

Look for the gear icon in your profile page's top right corner. This icon represents the settings menu. Tap it to access more options.

4. Tap Payments

Inside the settings menu, locate the "Payments" option and tap on it. This takes you to a new page containing the payment settings. 

5. Tap Add a Credit Card

You’ll find an option to add a credit card on the payment settings page. Tap on this option to proceed.

6. Enter and Save Your Credit Card Information

Proceeding takes you to a new page that requires your card number, expiration date and security code. Once you have entered the required details, tap the "Save" button to add the credit card to your Thumbtack account.

Removing a Credit Card

Your credit card can be misplaced or stolen, and you may no longer be able to use it. If you no longer wish to have a specific credit card associated with your Thumbtack account, follow these steps to remove it:

1. Click Your Profile Photo

Start by locating your profile photo in the top right corner of the Thumbtack app or website. This provides the drop-down menu containing more features of your account.

2. Select Payments From the Drop-Down Menu

From the drop-down menu, look for the "Payments" option and select it. Selecting this option takes you to the payment settings page.

3. Select the Card You Want to Delete

This new page contains a list of the credit cards associated with your Thumbtack account. Skim through to determine the card that you'd like to remove, and select it.

After selecting the desired card, look for the "Delete Card" option and click on it. Thumbtack will prompt you to confirm your decision.

4. Confirm That You Want to Delete the Card

Once you click the "Delete Card" option, the platform prompts you with a message asking whether you intend to delete the card. Carefully review the card details and click the "Confirm" button if you’re sure about removing the card.
