Listing Your Business on Thumbtack

If you’ve used Thumbtack as a client or are a professional looking to add another business profile, you can start meeting new clients through Thumbtack. Unfortunately, you can't transfer previous reviews to your new profile, but you can add a link to another profile you'd like clients to visit. If you have a client account, you can switch to a professional account by clicking your name and then “Switch to Business.” Here’s the step-by-step process of listing your business on Thumbtack.

1. Log in to Your Account

If you’re a new user, visit the Thumbtack website and register to create an account. Click “Join as a Pro” on the homepage. You must provide accurate and up-to-date details during registration and create a password that you can easily remember. After completing the registration, log into your account using your credentials.

2. Go to Thumbtack’s Welcome Page

After logging in, the platform’s welcome page is the starting point for creating your new business profile. This page contains a drop-down menu listing various services. Choose the service that best represents your business from the available options. There are various categories, ranging from plumbing and photography to personal training. After selecting the type of service, click the “Get Started” button.

3. Create Your New Profile

Clicking the “Get Started” button will result in a series of prompts to help you create your new business profile. You'll answer questions regarding your business profile, such as your company name, contact information, and a brief description of your services. Be clear when giving out this information to help potential clients understand your offer.

Additionally, Thumbtack may require you to provide additional documentation to verify your qualifications. If you have related certificates and proof of insurance, this could boost your profile.

4. Customize Your Profile

The next step is to add a logo or profile picture and an informative bio to your business profile. Change the color scheme of your profile to what looks appealing to you and showcase the unique selling points and specializations of your business.

5. Set Your Preferences

Thumbtack allows you to customize your preferences so that you receive relevant leads for your business. Specify the service area you’re interested in, your preferred job types, and the price range. These preferences will help you attract leads that match your target market and expertise.

6. Publish Your Profile

After completing all the required steps:

  • Review your profile to ensure everything is accurate and you’ve submitted complete information.
  • Proofread your bio and work description for spelling or grammatical errors.
  • Once your profile seems satisfactory, click the “Publish” button to make your business live on Thumbtack.

If you encounter any problems while listing your business or have queries or concerns, you can contact Thumbtack’s customer support team to help you out.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Thumbtack Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
