Although the platform links clients to professional service providers, there may be instances when the clients request refunds. As a client, you may feel the product or service you've paid for isn't right for you, or you may not need it at the scheduled time. Thumbtack allows you to request a refund within 30 days of the charge and offers two options. You can request a refund using the mobile app or the desktop website.
Thumbtack has a user-friendly mobile app used for finding or accepting jobs. This option is convenient since it lets you perform all your activities on your mobile device. If you want to use the app, follow these steps to request a refund:
Begin by launching the Thumbtack Pro app on your mobile device. You can find the app on the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play Store (Android) and download it if you don't have it.
After opening the app, locate and select "Profile" in the main menu. This opens up your profile page.
On your profile page, look for the gear icon in the top-right corner and click it. This will open a menu with more options. From the menu, select "Payments" to open your payment settings.
Within the payment settings, you’ll find a section labeled "Your Charges." Tap on it to view your payment history.
Above your payment history, there's an option to "Request a Refund." Tapping this option initiates the refund process.
A drop-down menu will appear, allowing you to choose the payment period related to the refund request. Select the appropriate period from the available options.
Find the specific lead for which you want to dispute the payment and select the reason that best describes your situation.
Follow the prompts provided by Thumbtack support to share any additional details or information that might be necessary for your refund request.
If you find the web a safe and secure option for accessing your Thumbtack account, you can do so. These steps will help you when requesting a refund on your desktop:
Browse the Thumbtack web page and log into your Thumbtack account. Next, navigate to the "Payments" section.
Locate the "Request a Refund" option in the "Payments" section above your payment history. Click on this option to start the refund process.
Like the mobile app, you must choose the payment period associated with the refund request. Click the drop-down menu to select the appropriate period.
Find the lead you wish to dispute and select the reason accurately representing your situation.
Thumbtack will guide you through sharing any additional details or information relevant to your refund request.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
After helping consumers for 10 years, we realized that you need an impartial, live person you can talk to about comparing the various TV, cable, Internet and phone plans in your area- somebody who can compare the best deals across telecom providers. So we created a free concierge service you can call at the phone number below.
