Situations may arise that make it necessary to avoid paying your phone/wireless bill. You may have other more important bills to pay or you may feel that a bill is incorrect or unfair. In these instances, you may feel compelled to find ways to dispute a bill, put off paying it, or avoid paying it altogether. As a Sprint wireless customer, it's a good idea to combine familiar with all your options.

Dispute the Bill via Customer Service

If you are trying to avoid paying your Sprint bill because you feel it is incorrect or unfair, consider disputing it. This process should begin by contacting the customer service department. The customer service number should be listed on your phone/wireless bill. Explain your problem or concern to the Sprint representative and provide any supporting documents to make your claim.

Email or Fax Your Dispute to Sprint

Sprint also provides a form that allows customers to explain their dispute and upload/attach any documents to support the dispute. You can also fax your dispute form to Sprint's dispute center. This method also requires that you submit any supporting documents if you have any. Customers can use the CLEC online dispute form or the alternate dispute form, depending on their situation.

Submit Your Dispute in Writing

Sprint customers can also contest, dispute, or avoid paying a bill by detailing their case in writing and sending it to Sprint. Of course, as with the other methods, it's a good idea to present any supporting documents to make your case with this method too.

Cancel Your Payment

If you're simply trying to buy more time to pay your Sprint bill, you can cancel your upcoming payment by going online and accessing your account. Although you will still have to pay your bill at some point, this may buy you some time. However, this action must be taken at least twenty-four hours before the scheduled payment. Simply log in to your account and navigate to the payment center. Select payment activity and look for your scheduled payment. Select the option to change or cancel a payment. Then, simply follow the directions to cancel your payment.

Delay Your Payment

The customer also has the option to make payment arrangements to reschedule a payment. This can be accomplished by signing into your Sprint account. Select the option to make a payment and navigate to the past due or the total due section. You will have the option to access a calendar and select a new due date. Make sure to select authorize to permit the new payment date. This option allows you to avoid making a payment until you are ready. Of course, it should be noted that you have to be eligible for this option to rearrange payment.

Don't Make a Payment

Customers have the option to forego making a payment, payment arrangements, or disputing a payment altogether. However, if you choose this option, you will lose service at some point. Also, you may be subject to several additional charges. Furthermore, your account will possibly be placed in collections at some point and this could affect your credit.

Escalate Your Dispute

If you are unhappy with the solutions offers by Sprint customer support, you will have to escalate your dispute/case. There are situations when customers are unhappy with the results of their Sprint dispute/claim. In these instances, customers can take additional steps to get the solutions they desire.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Sprint Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Sprint in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our How Can I Get Out of Paying My Sprint Bill? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible.
