What should I do if I smell gas?

Asked a year ago
If you smell gas, leave the area immediately and avoid using anything that could ignite a flame, such as matches or lighters. Do not turn on or off any electrical switches, and do not use the phone or any other electronic devices while in the vicinity of the gas odor. Once you are in a safe location, call PECO Energy or the emergency gas leak hotline right away to report the smell of gas. It is important to take any gas odor seriously and address the situation promptly to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.
