Once you activate your MetroPCS phone, you can test to see if it shows as restricted. Call a different number and see how the caller ID shows. You should call a few numbers to see if you get the same results. If it continues to show that your number is unrestricted, you may contact the customer support team for help.

Viewing Restricted Numbers on MetroPCS

With some apps, it may be possible to view restricted numbers on your MetroPCS. The programs depend on your phone software. There are plenty of options so you may find one that is most appropriate for your needs.

If you think that the problem is with your service provider, you may unlock it and make it eligible for use with any service providers. Follow these steps to unlock your MetroPCS phone.

Through the Customer Service

1. Find your Phone's SIM Card

The MetroPCS network has greatly shifted to LTE and GSM. Both technologies depend on SIM cards. If your phone uses CDMA technology, you may need to contact your new carrier for help. You can find your SIM card in a small slot at the side of your phone.

2. Find out the Age of Your Account

The customer support team may only help you if your phone has been in the network for at least 90 continuous days. If it is not old enough, you may have to get help elsewhere

3. Contact the Customer Support Team

If you are certain that the customer support team can help you, contact them over the phone. You will be connected with a representative in a short time. You may also use the Store Locator tool to find a corporate store in your area. Ask the representative to give you an unlock code that is appropriate for your phone model.

4. Provide Important details

When speaking with a customer care representative, provide them with all the necessary information. This includes; your email address, the name that appears on your MetroPCS wireless account, your account billing PIN, and the mobile number you want to unlock.

5. Wait for a Confirmation Email

MetroPCS should send you a confirmation email within three business days. The email will include the unlock codes and instructions for using them. If you do not receive the email, you may need to contact the customer support team and ask for help.

6. Unlock Your Phone

Use the instructions in the email to unlock your phone. The instructions are different depending on the model of your phone. Once you have completed the process, you will be able to use your phone on any compatible GSM wireless network.

Usually, you will have to turn your phone off, enter your SIM, and turn the phone back on. When prompted, enter the code. You may receive two codes. One of them is a Network Lock code while the other one is a Service Provider Lock code.

You may unlock your phone through the unlock app or online. If your SIM card does not work after unlocking, you should request your carrier to get you a new one. They are unlikely to charge you for it.

If you have trouble removing account restrictions on your account, you should get help from the customer support team. Contacting them on the phone is the best way to get help. You will be connected with a representative in less than an hour. You may also get support from Twitter and Facebook Messenger. The help desk gives you a chance to interact with both the customer support team and other MetroPCS customers. They do not offer support on Live Chat or email.
