How Do I Unlock My Kohl's Account?

Kohl's not only has brick and mortar stores, it allows customers to shop products online and have them shipped directly to their homes. If your Kohl's account is locked, you have to reset it to enjoy your shopping experience. How do you unlock your Kohl's account? Types of Kohl's Accounts

There are two types of Kohl's accounts, one for shopping and a separate account to manage a Kohl's charge card. Kohl's will lock your account if it detects suspicious activity. Resetting each is outlined below.

Kohl's Shopping Account

To unlock your Kohl's shopping account, you will need to reset your password. Be aware, if your account was locked due to multiple failed login attempts, you must wait a minimum of two hours for a "cool down" period before you can reset your password. To reset your password, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Kohl's website in your browser.
  2. Click "Account" in the menu at the top of the screen.
  3. Select "Forgot Password."
  4. Enter your email address and confirm you are not a robot. Hit "Send."
  5. Open your email and find the correspondence from Kohl's.
  6. Click the link in the body of the email to reset your password.
  7. Create a new password.

Kohl's Charge Card Account

It's important to note Kohl's maintains separate sites for shopping and for credit card management. To unlock your Kohl's charge card account, follow the steps outlined here.

  1. Open the Kohl's credit card website.
  2. Click "Forgot Username" or "Forgot Password."
  3. If you have forgotten your username, you will be prompted to enter your 16-digit credit card number. Click "Enter" after keying in the number. Follow the prompts to recover your username.
  4. If you have forgotten your password, you will be prompted to enter your username. Key in the information and click "Continue."
  5. Enter your last name, date of birth and zip code. Click "Continue."
  6. Follow the prompts to complete the password reset.
