How to Enroll in ACH With JP Morgan

To use ACH for payments, you'll need to have the bank account and routing numbers to ensure the payment is successfully sent to the right recipients. Below are the steps to get started with ACH payments:

  1. Enroll in Chase Business Online.
  2. Log in to your account, tap Pay & Transfer and then tap Payment Center.
  3. Choose ACH Payment Services from the menu and enroll.
  4. Once enrolled, tap Add Payee to begin adding businesses or individuals you want to pay.

If you don't have a Chase Business account yet, you may use the steps below to enroll:

  1. Go to the Chase for Business website and tap Not Enrolled. Sign Up Now.
  2. You'll be taken to a secured page with the instructions on how to enroll in Chase Business.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to successfully enroll your account. Have your social security number or TAX ID number ready. Feel free to get in touch with Customer Support if you have questions.

How Is ACH Payment Different From a Wire Transfer?

Wire transfers take longer and are more expensive as they're processed by the banks instead of the ACH system. They're usually ideal for international business payments. With ACH payments, the transfer can be recurring or set at a future date. However, you'll need more information from the recipient when using the ACH payment method. Make sure you ask for the info below:

  • Recipient name and account number
  • Recipient bank SWIFT or routing number. You can find the SWIFT code of the bank online.
  • Currency to be used
  • Recipient mailing address, including the region, city, postal code and the country

With JP Morgan Chase's ACH, you can submit prescheduled payments up to 33 days in advance. The cut-off time for processing ACH submissions is 9 p.m. EST. When submitted after the cut-off, it'll be processed the next business day.

For eligible credit and debit entries, the same-day limit for ACH is from $100,000 to $1 million. If you have questions about ACH payments with JP Morgan Chase, contact the Solutions Center Help Desk or Customer Support

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for JPMorgan Chase Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
