It’s essential to try and resolve your issue with the seller directly before requesting a refund. See if the seller can offer a solution to the issue you're experiencing, and if they can't help, you can proceed with the request. Some problems occur due to misunderstandings and miscommunication between the buyer and seller, and repeat communication can quickly resolve the issue.
If the seller fails to meet your deadline on Fiverr, you can cancel the order. First, log into your Fiverr account and go to your order page. Once it loads, click the order that you'd like to resolve. Click view to open up the order details on another page. After accessing the new page, locate the "Resolution Center" on the top right. You can either get an order update or cancel the order. Click "Cancel". When you request to cancel an order, the seller has 48 hours to accept or deny the cancellation request. The order gets canceled automatically if there's no response after the expiry of the duration.
You can initiate the refund process after the seller approves your cancellation request. The Fiverr platform offers a few ways to access the "request a refund" option.
On the account dashboard, navigate to the billing and payments page. Once open, you can access the billing history, billing information, available balances and payment methods. Here, you must select the "Available Balances" section. This section opens up your Fiverr balance, divided according to the earnings and the amount from canceled orders. At the bottom of the section with the amount from canceled orders, you'll find the "Request a Refund" button.
While canceling the order, Fiverr opens up a new page where you can give reasons why you'd like to cancel the order. If you prove that you intend to cancel the order, a new page opens up for you to finalize the cancellation. After the order cancellation is approved, you can access this page's "Request a Refund" button.
Click the "Refunded Amount" button on the account dashboard next to your profile picture. This opens up the page containing the balance for canceled orders. You can navigate the "Request a Refund" button below the balance.
After providing all the required information and submitting a refund request, Fiverr's support team assesses the situation before deciding. The time taken to receive the refund depends on your payment method. Refunds via PayPal are completed within 24 hours after the support representative processes it. Credit card refunds may take 7-10 days, based on the processing time of the card issuer.
