How Do I Order a New Fidelity Investments Debit Card?

If you have an account with Fidelity Investments, one of the largest financial services companies in the world, then you have the option to get a debit card.

A Fidelity debit or ATM card gives you access to the funds in your Fidelity Investments account. You can use it to make purchases anywhere where the card is accepted. You can also use it to withdraw funds from many ATMs all over the world.

You are allowed to draw funds from an ATM depending on your withdrawal balance and limit. The debit will then be reflected in your account or card statement within the next five days.

Fidelity Card Eligibility

Not all accounts with Fidelity Investments are allowed to have a Fidelity debit card. Accounts that are eligible for a credit card include non-retirement brokerage accounts, Fidelity Cash Management accounts with individual, joint tenant, and trust registrations. Accounts that are not eligible are retirement, business, corporate, and Fidelity managed account registrations.

Accounts with a foreign or military address are also not eligible for a Fidelity debit card. The same goes for an account that is in the name of a power of attorney.

Fees

There are no monthly or annual fees charged by Fidelity Investments for use of their debit cards. However, other financial institutions will charge fees for using their ATMs.

On the other hand, the fees charged by other institutions can be refunded in some cases. These include Fidelity Cash Management Account customers or Fidelity accounts coded Premium, Private Client Group, or Wealth Management.

You should check your Fidelity Debit Card Agreement for information on reimbursement limits.

There is a foreign transaction fee for every foreign transaction. You will be charged 1% for any non-US dollar transactions.

Ordering a New Debit Card

If you own a trust account with Fidelity Investments, then you will use the ATM/Debit card application on the company's website.

If you have a joint account, you can also order a new debit card for the other owner of the account. You can do by either filling the ATM/Debit card application or contacting Fidelity Investments directly.
