How Do I Transfer Money to My FTX Account?

FTX is one of many cryptocurrency exchanges that allow users to buy, sell and trade various types of crypto. If you're a user of FTX, you have many options when it comes to funding your account. Please keep in mind that although the websites are operated by the same company, FTX.com and FTX.US do differ slightly when it comes to their respective funding options. Please review the FAQs for your region for more information.

Mutual Funding Choices

Regardless of your location, you'll be able to deposit funds to your FTX account by cryptocurrency, credit or debit card and wire transfer. Users of both sites can also use a type of crypto called stablecoins to fund their accounts. Please keep in mind that credit and debit card purchases are restricted to MasterCard and Visa at this time. Additionally, your location is a factor in what account funding options you can access.

On both sites, you cannot make withdrawals for at least seven business days after your card purchase. The funds have a hold placed on them during this timeframe.

Wire transfers must be made from an account name identical to the name on the FTX account, otherwise, the transaction could be delayed or rejected.

The Only Difference So Far

Users in the United States can also fund their accounts by bank account, either by manually entering the account details or the faster process of using login details.

Funding Your Account

When you're ready, log into your FTX account and then click on the Wallet tab. Next, select the crypto type and the Deposit button that shares the same row.

Choose your payment option (card, bank account or wire transfer). Enter the requested information and follow the applicable instructions.

Please also note that different funding options have different requirements, with some taking longer than others to appear in your account. If you have any questions, please contact FTX customer support here.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for FTX Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
