DraftKings allows customers to win money by betting on the performances of teams and individual players, and a lot of states do not allow that kind of gambling. DraftKings cannot legally operate in Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, Mississippi, Nevada, New York, Texas and Washington state. If DraftKings has learned that you live in one of these states, they will lock you out of your account. You will not be able to have your account reactivated. However, if you have recently moved from one of these states into a state where DraftKings can legally operate, DraftKings might lock you out because they think you still live in the old location. Contact DraftKings and explain that you have moved. You will have to provide them with a scan of your state ID from your new home.
Using Multiple Accounts
DraftKings does not allow people to use multiple accounts. Making bets with multiple accounts disadvantages other players. The company also offers big rewards for referring a friend, so they also ban the use of multiple accounts to prevent abuse of this policy. If you have done something that results in account termination then you probably cannot regain access to your account. You probably won't be able to get any money you had in the account either. If you haven't done something that would get your account terminated, you can probably regain access to your account by contacting DraftKings' customer service.
Resetting Your Password
It's worth trying to reset your password. Sometimes, this is all it takes to make the restriction vanish. Just follow these instructions:
- Go to DraftKing's home page.
- Sign into your account.
- Go to My Account.
- Click on Passwords. You should be able to change your password there.
If nothing else works, you can always open a new account.
