Do I need a credit card to rent a car from Dollar Rent-A-Car?

Yes, a credit card is required to rent a car from Dollar Rent-A-Car. We do not accept cash or debit cards for rental payments at any of our locations. The credit card used for the reservation must be in the renter's name and must have sufficient available credit for the rental charges along with any additional fees or deposits. We hold a pre-authorized amount on the credit card for the estimated charges plus a security deposit. This deposit is released after returning the vehicle in the same condition. Credit cards offer added security and ease of transactions and are necessary to process any unexpected charges or damages that may occur during the rental period.
