Before logging in, ensure you select the right type of account. Select Residential or Business, found on the upper left corner of the page. Check the screenshot to know where its located.
Note: If you will settle your bill, You can also tap Guest Pay if you don't want to sign in to your account. Those who prefer this option will need to provide their account number or account holder details including the complete address and the zip code. Just follow the on-screen instructions on how to proceed to payment.
You'll be taken to the Billing & Payment tab after signing in. The amount under Total amount is your current bill. There's an overcharge if your current bill is lower than your calculated monthly bill by DTE Energy.
Don't worry though because if you are overcharged, there's no need to do anything. The overcharged amount will be credited to your next bill. Just make sure you check your bill after to see if the amount has been reflected. Account holders need to pay their amount due within or 17 days after the bill is sent.
