Have your account number and a copy of the bill showing the charge you are disputing with you when you contact customer service.Make sure to keep a record of everyone you talked to, when you talked to them, and what you talked to them about. Keep copies of all papers, voicemails, and emails you are sent regarding the dispute. You may also be able to resolve the dispute through your bank. You could try contacting a bank representative to dispute the charge there and possibly get it reversed.
DISH customer service
You will have to start the process with an ordinary customer service representative, but they may not be able to resolve the dispute themselves. They may need to contact another department to begin an investigation, so you might have to wait for a few days or even weeks to hear about a resolution.
Once the investigation is concluded, a company representative will contact you to discuss their findings and proposed resolution of the dispute.
If you are not satisfied with it, move on to the next step.
Call customer service again if necessary and ask to speak to a manager. Tell them about all the steps that have been taken so far and why you wish to continue with the dispute.
Better Business Bureau customer service
If DISH's proposed resolutions are not satisfactory, tell the Better Business Bureau that you wish to file a complaint about the disputed charge with DISH. This may prompt them to respond in a way more to your liking.
They may be able to get the problem resolved for you, depending on the specifics of the situation.
If all else fails, contact your local small claims court to file a suit over the charge you are disputing. Filing fees may apply.
If you have any questions or concerns at any point in the dispute process, call a DISH customer service representative for help. The customer service center is open from 8:00 am to 12:00 am EST seven days a week.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
