Make sure to take advantage of all the benefits of being a member of Flying Blue.

Airlines often offer rewards to those who fly with them. For example, AirFrance Flying Blue provides bonuses such as miles and cash back for traveling with the airline. You can combine your flying privileges with various reward plans, such as earning double miles on all flights or collecting miles when you stay in hotels. Other perks like free baggage check-in and priority boarding come along with this plan, making it easy for you to maximize your travel options while saving money. But how do I link my flight to my AirFrance Flying Blue number?

Visit the Official Website

Go to Flying Blue's website and create an account. If you already have one, make sure it is set to your correct address (you can change this later in the settings). You will be prompted for some basic information; name, email, etc. Once logged in, click on "My Profile" at the top.

The website's security is high, so there is no need to worry when keying in your personal details. You will need to enter your "SkyTeam Number" (your ten-digit membership number) and "Last Name." Use the drop-down box to select your country of residence. If you have a problem with the details, contact support.

Go to the Settings

You will be directed to your settings; change your address if you need to or leave it as is. Once that is complete, click on "My Reservations" at the bottom of the page under "Manage My Trip." You should see all previous reservations linked to your account on this page, including flights and hotels.

Take time to read all the details on the flights. If you want to add them to your Flying Blue account, click on the blue "Include in Flying Blue mileage plan" box next to the flight. You will then be prompted to convert the reservation type to a Promotion; a promotion code is required for conversion. If you need assistance on this, contact support.

Check the Reservation Number

Click on the Correct reservation number to pull up your correct flight information. If you are not sure which reservation is the correct one, contact AirFrance Flying Blue or check your email for confirmation details. You will see three boxes with various options; "Add a Flight" is the middle box, and the only required one.

Being accurate with the details you feed is essential. Keep in mind to only add the flights you take and not flights that family or friends fly. The miles earned through this process will be credited to the account used when creating the reservation (the person who pays for it).

Start Linking

Click on "Add a Flight" to start linking your flight information. Enter your reservation number into the box that appears and select next. You will then be asked to enter your AirFrance Flying Blue Number, which is both the Membership number found on your monthly bill for this program and printed at the top of your boarding pass. Once you have entered that information, select next.

Enter Date of Flight Information

The next screen is another box for you to enter the Date of your flight in MM/DD/YY format. You can also find this information on your boarding pass or in an email confirmation from AirFrance Flying Blue if it was purchased through them. Once you have entered this information, select next. If you experience problems finding the correct information, contact support.

Feed Information on the Number of Miles

Now you will be prompted to enter the number of miles you should have earned from your flight. It is typically found on your monthly statement or in an email from AirFrance Flying Blue if purchased through them. Once entered, select next, and you're all set. You have just linked a flight to your AirFrance Flying Blue number.
