I am in need of assistance. Recently, I received a letter from Ebau requesting a German VAT certificate from me with a deadline of March 1, threatening to block my account (ID: Den-nik) if I fail to comply. I am confused by this request for several reasons:
1. I reside in Ukraine, which is not part of the European Union.
2. My sales are minimal, and my turnover does not exceed Germany's limits.
3. I do not have a physical goods inventory, let alone one in the EU.
4. I do not conduct sales on the German Ebay site (Ebay.de) using my account (ID: Den-nik) and have no listings there.
I am unsure why I am being targeted with this requirement and potential account suspension. I have reached out to Ebay's technical support with five letters but have not received any responses after 48 hours. Where else can I seek assistance with my concerns and questions?

I require assistance! Recently, I received a letter from eBay requesting a German VAT certificate. They have threatened to block my account (ID: Den-nik) by March 1 if I don't provide my German VAT certificate number. However, I am confused as to why I received this letter for the following reasons:
1. I reside in Ukraine, which is not part of the European Union.
2. My sales are minimal, and I earn a small income, well below Germany's limits.
3. I do not have any inventory in the EU or any warehouse at all.
4. I do not sell anything on eBay.de or the German eBay site using my account (ID: Den-nik).
I am perplexed about the necessity of this request and why my account is at risk of being blocked. Despite sending five emails to eBay's technical support and waiting 48 hours, I have not received any responses. I am unsure where to direct my inquiries.

I am seeking assistance regarding a concerning letter received from eBay requiring a German VAT certificate from me. It indicates that my account (ID: Den-nik) may be blocked by March 1 if this certificate is not provided. I am perplexed as to why I am being asked for this certificate for the following reasons:
1. I am based in Ukraine, which is not part of the European Union.
2. My sales are minimal, and I do not exceed German trading limits.
3. I do not have a warehouse holding goods in the EU or anywhere else.
4. I do not conduct sales on the German eBay site, eBay.de, from my account.
I have made multiple attempts to contact eBay's technical support regarding this issue but have not received any response within 48 hours. I would appreciate guidance on where to direct my questions as the impending account suspension is causing undue stress.

Hello,
I am having trouble removing an item from my shopping cart. When I attempt to do so, I receive the following message:
"You've purchased this item. Unfortunately, it's too late to cancel this order. However, you can contact the seller, explain your situation, and ask to cancel the order. If the item has already shipped, you can ask the seller about a return."
I want to emphasize that I did not make this purchase and am unable to remove it from my cart. The item in question is the 1100W Folding Electric Treadmill Support Motorized Power Running Machine with the item number [redacted]04 and sale date of 13/02/19 at 20:54. Please cancel this order as I did not buy this item.

Hello eBay Team,
A customer opened a case stating they did not receive their item. I provided the tracking number INAAD[redacted][redacted]2 and offered a refund if the item was not received, but the customer did not respond. eBay refunded the money, leading to an increase in my transaction defect rate. This policy seems unfair as sellers rely on buyers to confirm receipt. I've attached the conversation with the buyer for your review. Please cancel the defect rate associated with this case.
Thank you for your attention,

Hello,
I recently had an issue with a seller on eBay. They are trying to get a payment reissued even though they already refunded me. The item, according to the tracking number, shows as delivered, but I did not receive it. The seller was uncooperative when I first notified them of the lost item and only acted after I involved eBay. The original order was in December, and even though the item is listed as delivered in January, I still have not received it in February. The item cost $65.44, and the seller has now lowered the price. I am seeking advice on how to handle this situation, as I believe it is unfair for them to request a reissue of payment given their initial reluctance to address the issue.
Thank you.

Hello, I am a user on eBay with the account name adscustoms. In October [redacted], I made a purchase from the seller a1va. The purchase number for the transaction is [redacted]86. The item, a spray gun, was shipped from China and took approximately 4 weeks to arrive. I have made several attempts to contact the seller regarding a fault with the product, but I have not received any response. Despite receiving an email asking if I received the item, my messages regarding the faulty product have gone unanswered. After checking the seller's feedback, it seems that others have had similar negative experiences recently. I am unsure how to report this seller or resolve the issue on eBay, so I am reaching out for assistance in investigating this matter. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Sincerely, Elliot Whitnall.

Hello,
I purchased a jacket with Item ID: [redacted]96 on January 16th. Although I ordered a 4XL, the jacket I received was labeled 5XL but actually measured like a size L. I have communicated this to the seller with 7 pictures, requesting a full refund. They proposed 20% or 30% refunds with me keeping the incorrect jacket, or now they are open to a return. However, the return cost exceeds the jacket's value at US $47.24 + $21.12 for customs = US $68.36. I pointed this out, but they want me to arrange the return label.
I have tried to navigate eBay's rules, but I am struggling to request their intervention from February 17th as advised. I am tired of this lengthy process and just desire a full refund to resolve the issue. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Marianne

I have a concern regarding an Ebay billing issue where I was mistakenly charged twice for $55.19. This error led to significant financial difficulties, including an overdraft of $37.50 in my bank account. Despite contacting Ebay multiple times, I faced challenges getting a resolution. During my last call, I spoke with a representative, Chem, who offered to transfer me to a supervisor. After waiting on hold for 3 hours, 12 minutes, and 22 seconds without any assistance, the call abruptly ended. This experience left me upset and frustrated. As a result, I plan to submit a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I have already begun the process by filling out the necessary online forms with the BBB to address this issue promptly.

Hello eBay Customer Service, I recently received an email from Sofia Lilly regarding a car she's selling outside of eBay. She mentioned that the transaction would occur through eBay and PayPal. Just wanted to confirm if this process is legitimate or potentially a scam before proceeding. I appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thank you.

I am unhappy with the fees I was charged on my February eBay invoice. The reserve fee of $[redacted], along with the $70 from the transaction, is too high. In my almost 20 years on eBay, I have never faced such excessive charges. This fee represents a significant portion of my sale, diminishing the purpose of setting a reserve price. I sold the item to generate cash, even at a loss, and this fee has set me back further. I have been a valued member of the eBay community with a history of positive transactions. I had planned to continue using eBay, but this experience has made me reconsider. I am requesting assistance with this issue; otherwise, I will have to stop using eBay.

Dear community members,
My name is Ralfs, and I work for Anatomy Next. We are known for our brand, Anatomy For Sculptors, which produces anatomy books for artists. It has come to my attention that some unauthorized sellers on eBay are offering a PDF version of our books. Please be aware that we do not sell PDF versions of our books, and even when we did, resale was not permitted. Our only authorized resale partner is Exonicus, Inc.
The specific product being unlawfully sold is "Anatomy for Sculptors, Understanding the Human Figure by Uldis Zarins - PDF version." Remember, any digital version of our books is illegal. Only physical copies have the right to be resold.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently received an automated email from eBay about my refund case with Dhamanatek. This email surprised me because during a phone conversation with eBay on February 14, [redacted] (Reference Number: 1-[redacted]10), I was assured by a representative that the case was in my favor. I was told that I would receive a refund by February 23 unless new evidence emerged, in which case I would be contacted.
The email from eBay did not provide any explanation or evidence for why my refund was denied. It is frustrating to receive this email after receiving a strong verbal confirmation from an eBay representative, only to have it reversed within days.
I trust that eBay will thoroughly review the evidence and reach a fair decision soon. I am willing to restate the facts of the case if necessary, but it is important to settle this matter promptly.
Best regards,
M

Good morning,
I have a question about something that concerns me.
I have a couple of friends who collect sneakers like I do. They often ask me about eBay auctions.
I recently purchased three pairs of very rare, limited edition sneakers for myself. While I can spot a fake product when I have it in hand, I worry about what would happen if I ended up with fake ones. I typically spend around €[redacted] on a pair.
What if I win an auction and receive a pair that is not authentic? How can I ensure I get my money back through eBay's money-back guarantee?
I am concerned about the return process - will I have to pay for shipping? What if the seller refuses to refund me?
I appreciate any advice or insight you can offer.
Thank you in advance,
Thomas.

I haven't used my eBay account for a while and recently encountered password and potential identity theft issues. When I tried to access my account, it prompted me to confirm my identity via a phone number I don't recognize. The prefix of the number revealed doesn't match any of my previous phones. This discrepancy is concerning as the emails are originating from a UK-based eBay address, whereas my original account was US-based. Despite receiving password reset emails, I can't log in due to the incorrect phone number verification. I suspect fraudulent activity and need to address this promptly.

I contacted eBay and they initiated a return for me regarding an Ultimate Wrestling Ring toy that did not include many of the items depicted in the listing for $36. The photo on eBay showed a wrestling ring, barricade, announcers' tables, and chairs, but I only received the barricade. Despite the seller's claim that all parts were sent, I am certain this is not true. I am eager to return this item and receive my refund promptly so I can purchase an authentic wrestling ring for my stepson's belated birthday. It is disheartening to have spent money on an incomplete toy that cannot be enjoyed as intended. I urge eBay to assist me with the return process and ensure I get my $36 back so that I can continue using their platform with confidence.

I am considering buying a [redacted] Toyota Camry from a Craigslist seller in Orlando. The seller is offering it for $[redacted], and wants to transact through eBay for Buyer Protection. However, I suspect it might be a scam as they don't provide sufficient details. To stay vigilant, I plan to inform eBay's Fraud Department to monitor my account (OV1pilot4780) and my wife's (Vicky4780). The seller, who claims to have two phone numbers - [redacted] and [redacted], shared a story about selling the car due to a tragic incident involving their late son. I have attached the latest email from the seller and I urge eBay to watch for any suspicious activity. I just want to safeguard our eBay accounts. Please notify me if you notice any unusual behavior.
Thank you,
-Dick Wells

I have been purchasing less from eBay due to ongoing issues. Sellers there often provide false information and evade accountability. I recently ordered items from what was claimed to be the UK but seems to be Hong Kong. It's frustrating that eBay doesn't provide a direct email contact. This experience has led me to search for alternatives to eBay as my last option.
