I contacted a seller about their motorcycle being MOT'd before it was 3 years old. I asked if it was a write-off and needed the MOT to get back on the road. The seller said they weren't sure and would look into it. After discovering it was indeed a write-off, specifically a CAT C, I informed the seller to disclose this information. It's been three days, and the seller has not updated the listing. I reported it through eBay, but no action has been taken. The seller is advertising the bike as in excellent condition, which is misleading. The listing is for a Sinnis Retrostar [redacted] Caferacer/Motocross [redacted] on eBay. Item number: [redacted]22.

Hello,
I recently purchased a TV on eBay from a UK Seller for [redacted]€ on 18 July. The seller requested payment via bank transfer, but after sending the money, they claim it never arrived due to an alleged mistake in their IBAN. Despite my double-checking and providing proof of payment, the seller has not shipped the item, cancelled the transaction, and even initiated a non-payment case against me. I reached out to eBay, but due to the expected shipping date being August 16, I am unable to take any immediate action.
I asked the seller for clarification and proof of the alleged mistake in their account details, but they have refused to provide it. I have contacted my bank, Belfius, and they confirmed the payment was valid. I have shared all payment evidence with the seller, but they still insist on non-receipt.
I suspect the seller may have received the payment but is unwilling to admit fault or rectify the situation. I am seeking advice on how to resolve this and recover my funds.
Thank you for any assistance.
Best regards,
A. Pathan

My name is Marin Peev, and I fell victim to a bank transfer scam involving a £[redacted] transfer to a person via a Natwest Bank account. The transfer was made from my wife's bank account in Bulgaria in an attempt to purchase a car on eBay. Unfortunately, the buyer provided a fake PayPal invoice, leading to this fraudulent transaction. I have supporting documents such as the swift transfer details, eBay correspondence, and the counterfeit seller's information. My bank suggested reaching out for assistance in resolving this issue promptly. I apologize for any language errors, English is not my first language. I believe eBay is responsible and should aid in recovering the funds. The police and PayPal have directed me to seek resolution through eBay. Your cooperation will be highly appreciated. Thank you. Dear eBay Customer Services,
I reside in Hong Kong and recently discovered a fraudulent purchase on my account for a MacBook Pro. The hacker changed the delivery address to 73 Myrtle Road, Leicester LE2 1FU, for a recipient named Nick Arnold, which I suspect is a fictitious name. I have taken measures to secure my account, cancel my credit card, and inform the seller not to send the laptop.
I am concerned about the seller's involvement and the money being held in a eBay account. Could you clarify what happens to the funds now that the seller will not ship the item? My bank has confirmed the deduction of £[redacted] pounds sterling, and I am eager to know the process for refunding this amount.
I am prepared to provide screenshots of relevant messages for your review. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Sandra Arnold

I sold a PS4 Japanese anime fighting strategy video games bundle on August 6th to a buyer named O.Z. The payment of £28.63 was made through PayPal on the same day with Transaction ID: 8R102080C[redacted]N. As a new seller, eBay placed a hold on my payment until the buyer received the item. I shipped the item on 08/08/19 with tracking number: WM[redacted]47GB. The tracking information confirms that O.Z. received and signed for the package on the 10th. However, my PayPal balance is still showing as pending. Could you please assist me in releasing the hold on the payment? Thank you.

Item Number: [redacted]98
Canon PowerShot SX740 HS 20.3MP Digital Camera - Black
Ordered on 23/7/19, received on 25/7/19
Price: £[redacted].00, postage: £4.50
Seller: Pickoutgame
The camera worked initially but developed a fault where the lens failed to retract fully, displaying an error message 60. Despite contacting the seller with photographic evidence of the issue on 24/8/19, I received no satisfactory response. After a second attempt on 27/8/19, the seller mentioned being an individual rather than a shop and did not offer a solution.
Given the high cost of the camera, I believe the seller should cover the repair costs or provide a full refund. I am disappointed in the product's short lifespan and seek guidance on how to proceed.
Regards,
Priorsboy

I need help changing the settings on a listing for a customer in Sweden who wants to purchase the item without using the Global Shipping Program. I already unticked the GSP box and offered free postage, but when the customer tried to buy, they received a message saying I don't ship to their area. Do I need to opt out of the GSP in my settings to proceed with this transaction? Will opting back in after the transaction affect my other listings? Appreciate the guidance.

Hello, I recently noticed an unauthorized order on my debit card for an iPhone 8 Plus under a guest account. I have the item number and order details ready for a refund request as I did not authorize this transaction. To resolve this matter, I kindly request to speak with a representative. My name is Aaron, and you can reach me at [redacted]. I prefer to be contacted by phone promptly, ideally within a few hours or, at the latest, by this evening. It is crucial to me to have the $[redacted] refunded to my card. I appreciate your assistance and hope to receive a call soon. Thank you.
Sincerely, Erin Olivia P.

I recently sold an item on eBay, and the bidder used PayPal for payment. The bidder has already collected the item, but eBay has decided to hold onto my money. Despite being an occasional seller with no negative feedback, I find this situation unfair. According to my account, the funds will not be available until the 6th of October. I am concerned about having to wait for my money and wonder if eBay will compensate me for this delay.

I need assistance regarding a Hermes courier issue. Upon delivery, the parcel was open, and the contents had been tampered with - a broken golf club and missing items. Despite efforts with the seller, Hermes, the courier linked with Ebay, has been unresponsive. Tracking details indicate issues during transit, including the parcel being damaged and returned to the depot for eventual destruction. Contacted the depot, and they confirmed the item's destruction. Hermes is now requesting agreement from all parties involved before initiating an insurance claim, even though the tracking information clearly points to their responsibility. Concerned about a possible delay tactic until the resolution time frame lapses based on similar reviews.

In August, I received an item from EBay that didn't match the description. I diligently followed all the return instructions provided by EBay and the seller. I securely packed and shipped the item back with photo evidence of the packaging process. Despite my efforts, the seller declined to issue a refund upon receiving the item. EBay eventually intervened to grant me the refund, but after numerous phone calls with representatives, I am still unsure why my refund is being withheld. The situation has caused me significant distress as the camera was a crucial investment for my career. I am deeply disappointed by EBay's handling of my case and would like to lodge a formal complaint regarding their handling of the matter. - Maddison

I did not receive the Tayna Batteries battery I ordered (067TE Exide EA770 Car Battery 12V 77Ah 760A). I paid for it using my debit card on eBay on 18 Sep, [redacted]. Tayna asked me to order another battery, which I did, and it arrived without any problems. They said they would refund my PayPal account once the first battery was returned. The issue is I don't have a PayPal account, and PayPal confirmed this. Tayna Batteries insists they already made the refund and suggest it may have gone to a temporary PayPal account created due to my debit card payment. I urgently need my refund. Please provide guidance on how to resolve this.
Thank you,
David W.

I have been a loyal customer for many years and usually use my Debit Visa to make purchases. Recently, my last three transactions were declined by my bank, TSB. I had to resort to buying through Amazon instead. I have checked and confirmed that all my personal details, including addresses, match. My username is antony[redacted], and I prefer not to use Paypal, which I have informed them about. My date of birth is 07 02 [redacted]. There seems to be an issue that I did not cause, possibly due to a change in my email address last year. I have used the same username successfully on eBay for 20 years, and suddenly, eBay changed it to another name but now reverted it to antony[redacted]. I need this matter resolved; otherwise, I might have to stop using eBay. I also encountered an inappropriate request from Paypal for my passport details via email and reported it to my bank's fraud department. Despite this, nothing unauthorized happened in my account. I am hoping for a quick solution, as I am eager to make a purchase for my new flat. Thank you for your assistance.

I have already tried to make a payment on eBay using my Visa card, but it keeps getting rejected, even though my bank, TSB, confirms everything is fine on their end. I do not wish to use PayPal. eBay has my Visa card information, my address details are correct in my account, and my bank's fraud team has also investigated. eBay had issues when I changed my email and even assigned me a new username for a while. The last three transactions have been declined by eBay. I spent three hours one night trying to make a purchase, entering my card details multiple times. This has been frustrating, and I don't want to waste any more time on unsuccessful transactions. Please check if my date of birth, 07/02/[redacted], was incorrectly recorded when I first signed up 20 years ago. I need to purchase an item currently listed, so I hope this issue can be resolved soon.

I purchased a bench saw from Midlands Tool Supplies on October 1st. I received a confirmation notice indicating an estimated delivery between October 6th and 16th. By the 10th, with no shipping notification, I contacted them twice on eBay with no reply. After trying their direct email, which bounced back, and leaving voicemails, I received no response. My messages on Facebook were seen but not answered. Subsequent messages were blocked, and their Facebook page was taken down. Their website links are also not working. My concern grew especially upon finding Michael Waring, a director, may have resigned. This situation is worrying, given the £[redacted] price. I hope for a simple explanation, but if there's an issue, I believe eBay should intervene since the company continues to sell on their platform, potentially putting more buyers at risk. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hello eBay,
I tried to buy the corner sofa bed GINO immediately, but when I clicked on buy, it showed me it was not available for purchase. I checked the advertisement, but there was no exact information apart from the delivery. I tried to buy it again, but it didn't work. So, I found a similar item and purchased it immediately. The delivery time for the new item is 4 to 6 weeks, and I couldn't wait for the company to confirm my payment. Now, I've received an email stating that I will have an unpaid payment on my account. This seems unfair. I kindly request eBay to address this issue. Sellers should allow customers to pay for items online with the specified delivery price. I await your response.
Have a great day.
Lovecenza

Regarding item no. [redacted]46, the buyer left immediate negative feedback without contacting me directly. Even though the items were as described, I accepted the return to ensure customer satisfaction. The refund has been processed promptly. The chat transcript regarding this issue is available for verification under SR# 1-[redacted]20. I kindly request the removal of the hasty feedback as my previous feedback history has always been positive. The buyer has been refunded in full after the return in accordance with the previous case details shared with eBay customer service.

Hello, I am facing an issue with an eBay seller. I won an auction and paid [redacted] pounds, including postage, for an item that was described as only a few years old and working perfectly. However, when I received the item, it appeared to be at least 10 years old, very dirty, and not in working condition. The control lamp flashes only a few seconds after turning it on. It seems the seller took a picture of the item when it was working to mislead. Additionally, the water ionizer I received does not have the filter that was not mentioned in the auction. I have packed the item to return it, but the seller has been unresponsive regarding refunding my postage. It's clear that the seller knowingly sold me a faulty item. I fear that after I return it, they may not refund me. I have mentioned contacting eBay regarding this. The item number is [redacted]26.

Following my father's passing, I advertised the Mobility Scooter, Invacare Orion, with accessories. These items, like cars, require proper viewing before sale due to tax implications. After arranging a viewing, it was discovered that the scooter's battery needs replacing, hence why it was removed from sale. I am awaiting the new battery to list it back on Ebay. Getting emails about selling outside Ebay with fees is distressing during this time. If the scooter is fixed, I might consider listing it on Facebook or local shops instead. Previous communication with the potential buyer clearly stated my intention to sell on Ebay. I request confirmation that my account won't be frozen or charged unjustly for an item that isn't even functional. Regards, Paul.
