When I created my account, I was not yet 13, so I entered a birthday one year earlier to bypass the age restriction. Now, at 15, I attempted to update my birthday to the correct one, but the system is now saying I need to submit ID and other information because I wasn't 13 at the time of creating the account. I feel uncomfortable sharing my ID and find it unreasonable that despite being the appropriate age now, I am locked out due to the earlier birthdate I used. Requiring ID for access seems unnecessary and I believe many users face similar challenges. I am eager to regain access to my account.

When I was 13, I created my account, but the birth year was missing. Now that I'm 20, I updated my birth year, causing my account to be locked. It's been weeks since I submitted the report with my school ID, fearing to share my identity online. I received a message asking for a new report with the correct ID for the issue to be resolved, but I'm still waiting for a response.

Recently, I ran away and my story was on the news. Everything got deleted except one post on Twitter by @feistyoldhag with the #MissingGirls tag in Brooklyn, Queens. It's also on Google! My name, age, and picture are up there, and people are mocking me. This situation is making me feel depressed and even suicidal. I've tried commenting on the post, but nothing has changed. I'm finding it hard to go out and my job is affected too. Please help me get this post taken down before things get worse.

I was having fun on my account, @WilliamTravels, and decided to set my birth date to match the account creation date jokingly. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the displayed birth date would be seen as my actual personal information. This caused me to be immediately locked out of my account without any prior notice. I value my privacy and would appreciate the ability to correct this mistake by changing the birth date back to '02. I prefer to keep my current Twitter account and avoid creating a new one. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, William.

I've been locked out of my Twitter account as they believe I'm under 13. Despite being 20 and turning 21 soon, I initially created the account when I was younger. I provided my driver's license as proof of my age, but they require my mother to complete a form, sign it, and submit a picture of her ID. I'm frustrated as my account holds cherished memories I enjoy revisiting. It's also a way for me to stay connected with my boyfriend who is deployed in Africa. I hope they can reconsider their request, as this process seems excessive given my current age. Thank you.

My Twitter account got suspended for calling out Michelle Wolf and now I'm frustrated to see other accounts promoting violence and hatred towards the President without consequences. The double standards on Twitter are disappointing. Hopefully, they address this issue and take action against those spreading harmful content.

In [redacted] during our sophomore year of high school, Nathan Hutson and I, Hayden Gerdts, created Twitter accounts to mock each other with the handles “@shitchimosays” and “@shithuttysays”. Unfortunately, we no longer have access to the associated emails and are now seeking to have these accounts deactivated. Both profiles have caused damage to our reputations and are not appropriate for Twitter. Despite my attempts over the past few weeks, I have been unable to get assistance from Twitter customer support. I believe that Twitter staff can assist in deactivating the accounts and sending notifications to the email addresses connected to them, informing the owners of the deactivation and providing a 30-day window to log back in if necessary. While I doubt the accounts will be accessed again, I understand the need to address this matter from a legal standpoint if we are not the original account holders.

Earlier today, I added my birthday to my Twitter profile. However, this action immediately locked me out, stating that I was under 13 when I created the account. I followed the instructions to correct my birthdate, but I am still locked out and being asked to submit a photo of my ID or birth certificate, which I am not comfortable doing. Although I created the account when I was younger than 13, I am now 17. I created a new account expecting to find my old one and reconnect with the same people and content, but it shows as if the user does not exist. Is there a way to recover my original account without having to start over?

I have been locked out of my account simply for trying to input my birthday. I got locked out because I was under 13 when I created the account. However, I started using the account actively in [redacted], as evidenced by my interactions on the app. Before [redacted], when I was 15, I had not used Twitter or had the app on my phone. It feels unfair to be locked out now when there is important content on the account. I have never violated any Twitter rules and would like my account reinstated as it's my only account. Please unlock my account. Thank you. The account uses the email [redacted] and the username is @chimmeg_1013.

I have been locked out of my account due to unusual activity, which I believe is because I have been retweeting a lot of my followers' tweets related to the #treason Summit by Trump and Putin. I do not have a cell phone, but I have a landline at [redacted] in Hilton, NY. My husband has the cell phone, and I am currently at home while he is visiting family out of town. Despite attempting to log out and log back in, I keep receiving a message stating that the username and password are incorrect, although I am certain they are correct. I have made multiple login attempts without success. I am an American on Twitter advocating for the USA. I received an automated response from Twitter support, to which I replied, but I haven't heard back yet. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Subject: Twitter Account @SEANPEYT0N Locked Due to Age Issue
Hello,
I am Seán Peyton, and I am experiencing difficulty with my Twitter account @SEANPEYT0N, which has been locked due to age restrictions. Despite being 20 years old, born on March 8, [redacted], the system seems to think otherwise. I am willing to provide a scan of my UK passport for verification if needed.
When attempting to address the matter online, the platform requests my legal guardian's details. However, being over 18, I am independent and do not have a legal guardian.
As an active Twitter user, I urge prompt assistance in unlocking my account. I am prepared to furnish my passport to confirm my age and identity. Please inform me of any additional information required. I eagerly await your response.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
Seán Peyton

Hello, I received an email from Twitter support stating that they couldn't confirm my identity as the account holder. They suggested contacting my email provider for assistance with regaining access. However, I'm stuck in a loop as I'm already using the original email associated with my Twitter account. I'm concerned about losing my account and would appreciate any help to resolve this issue. Thank you.

Hello, I need to correct the birthdate on my account. When I set it up, I accidentally entered the wrong year ([redacted] instead of [redacted]). Now, my account is locked due to my age being too young for the year I entered. My parents were actually the ones who assisted and supervised me during the account creation process. When I tried to unlock the account, I mistakenly selected the wrong reason as I intended to indicate that it was set up under parental supervision. I am unable to provide identification as I was underage when the account was set up. Could Twitter please assist me in unlocking my account considering it was created under my parents' supervision? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I recently found out that my Twitter account was disabled due to my age, as I initially created it when I was under 13. Now that I'm 16, I tried to verify my age by submitting my ID as prompted when I logged in. Unfortunately, this didn't resolve the issue, and now I'm unable to do anything on Twitter. I regret not choosing the option to have a parent verify their permission, as my mom is willing to do so. However, I can't seem to locate that option anymore. I hope to regain access to my account, as it holds sentimental value to me.

I recently realized that my Twitter account, created by my mom in [redacted], had the wrong birthdate. When I attempted to correct it today (7/19/[redacted]) to my actual birthdate (2/13/[redacted]), my account got locked. I tried to fill out the form to regain access, but my phone’s screen is cracked, causing me to submit the wrong form accidentally. Now I can't get my account back. I've been using Twitter daily and would really appreciate some assistance with this issue.

Hello,
I am experiencing frustration due to being penalized for creating my account when I was younger. At 21 now, I understand I mistakenly provided my personal ID, which was initially managed by my mother when I was 11. In the recent email, I attached a redacted photo of my mother's ID to address this issue without exposing her information. This situation is causing me distress as Twitter is my primary social media platform. I have noticed delays in responses to similar age restriction problems from other users.
Thank you and have a great day.

I had my account suspended a week ago right after my first tweet. Despite multiple attempts to appeal the suspension and find out why, I have not received a response. Subsequently, my attempts at creating new accounts to stay informed have also been suspended after posting one tweet. I'm prompted to unblock my account by adding my phone number, which I can't do as it's supposedly linked to another account. If my old account is suspended, why is my data still inaccessible? How can my phone number be tied to an account I no longer have access to? Does this mean Twitter does not delete our data as they claim?

I got locked out of my account for being twelve when I created it, even though I'm almost seventeen now. Waiting for it to unlock hasn't worked. Following the steps provided keeps bringing me back to the same locked page. I really need access back as a dedicated Twitter user. Your help is greatly appreciated. - Miranda

I recently updated my birth year on Twitter to [redacted], the year I was born. Unfortunately, my account got suspended because I had created it when I was under 13 years old. I tried explaining my situation and providing a picture of my ID, but I made a mistake on the form. As a 20-year-old now, my Twitter means a lot to me, and I would really appreciate it if I could regain access. The email address associated with the account is [redacted], but I need any future communication to go to my new college email, [redacted] Please assist me in reactivating my account; I cherish my Twitter profile.

My account got suspended due to false harassment reports from a Russian woman and her followers, even though I am a woman. She erroneously lumps all Germans on Twitter together, claiming we are all harassing her and labeling us as racists and Nazis. I have no connection to her, but my account and those of my German friends were suspended based on her and her followers' unfair allegations. Despite having many genuine friends and followers, my account remains suspended due to these unjust reports and blocks. This issue has not been resolved yet.
