The hacker impersonated Adel Al Mannai, a public relations officer at Kuwait Finance House bank who manages my father's business account and communicates with clients in a WhatsApp group. Adel Al Mannai's WhatsApp number, +[redacted]1, was already compromised by this point. Using a spoofed SMS, the hacker masqueraded as Adel Al Mannai and claimed to have received strange SMS access code messages from my father, asking my father to share the WhatsApp access codes. Unbeknownst to my father, he was actually providing the fraudster with access to his WhatsApp account. The hacker then activated two-step verification on my father's email, preventing my father from regaining control over his account despite still having his original phone number. Additionally, the fraudster converted my father's account into a business account using an email belonging to the hacker. We would greatly appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter promptly.
