I have been a customer of W/U for 40 years. Last month, while in Chandler, Arizona, I visited the customer service center at PLS on Thomas & 16th. When I needed to send $70 to my daughter in NJ who was stranded on a highway at 3 am with my grandchildren, they disrespected me and refused to assist. Even after waiting for the supervisor until 7 am, they claimed my birth certificate and Arizona ID were insufficient. I received a text from W/U asking about referring friends, but I had no intention, given the poor service I experienced. I hope they address the behavior of the staff they have hired. Thank goodness Walgreens across the street was open at 8 am to help me.

I initiated a claim dispute against them with transaction copies, and they confirmed receiving the proofs. It has been a couple of years, and I have misplaced some documents and my email is closed. On May 21st, [redacted], I sent $[redacted] to a different country for a dress. I decided to cancel the order and requested a refund on the same day through Western Union's Main menu. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the option to directly refund my money, so I cancelled it instead. Since then, I have been contacting their customer support at [redacted] and [redacted]. Despite numerous calls and speaking to two supervisors who promised to follow up, I have not received my refund as of May 30th, Thursday at 1:42 p.m. They keep mentioning a back office but won't provide more details or the tracking number required for the refund process.

Hello, I currently reside in Tracy, CA, and my father is in Joliet, IL. I am helping remodel his house and need a secure way to transfer funds to pay for materials and contractors. We attempted a Walmart to Walmart transfer, but the experience was frustrating. I was almost finished providing my information over the phone to process a transaction. The automated system accepted my MTCN number but couldn't capture my address due to background noise. They disconnected the call after I repeated my address four times.
Upon calling back, they refused to accept my MTCN. I provided the correct MTCN, confirmed by a picture my sender shared, but they claimed they couldn't locate it. When I attempted to contact them through various phone numbers, including 1-[redacted], 1-[redacted], 1-[redacted], and 1-[redacted], they all indicated no transaction was found with my MTCN.
It seems the first call marked my MTCN as used prematurely, halting the transaction without completion. I urgently need to speak with a representative to resolve this issue as I am unable to find a phone number that provides the option to connect with a person, despite multiple attempts.
I've encountered a similar problem before when a call was abruptly ended, resulting in a dysfunctional MTCN and causing unnecessary inconvenience. This recurring situation is highly frustrating and must be addressed promptly.

Why can't Western Union accept a copy of my passport to release my funds? I am in Brazil, and a friend sent me 50 euros from Holland. The issue is that the federal police have my passport, and I was fortunate to obtain a copy, but I've been informed that it's not sufficient. I have no way to retrieve my passport. In March, I attempted to send a money transfer to the Netherlands, which seemed successful after initial issues. I am unsure of what happened, but I have been attempting to send money to my family. Suddenly, I am blocked and each time I seek clarification, I receive the same response, "we have no idea why you are blocked." If the company is unsure, how am I to know? I have not engaged in any misconduct except for trying to send money. When individuals select this service to send funds, it should not concern Western Union beyond providing the service. I have not engaged in any illegal or immoral activities; I am simply trying to support my family through this affordable means as traveling would be challenging. Blocking me from assisting my family is unjust and should cease immediately as I have not breached any guidelines.
