I traveled back from Costa Rica on November 30th on Flight [redacted] scheduled for 2:45 pm. We boarded, but were then directed outside to the airport steps instead of Gate 1, where we waited in the rain without any instructions for a few minutes. Eventually, we sought shelter under a construction area, even though we were told not to. The boarding process was disorganized, and once on the plane, there were no towels or blankets to dry off from the rain. Despite the discomfort and inconvenience, the staff did not offer any assistance or apologies. I, along with others, ended up cold and wet throughout the 4-hour journey. The lack of empathy and care from WestJet's crew was disappointing, and I am reconsidering my loyalty as a frequent flyer with this airline. -John V. Hello, I need some advice on my situation. I was on a flight from Kona to Vancouver last night with WestJet. Due to an oversold flight, they asked me to stay an extra day in Hawaii. They provided me a room at the Hilton in Waikoloa. Originally, I was told I could have a late checkout at 8:30 pm since my new flight leaves at 11:30 pm. However, the Hilton is now saying I must check out by 2:00 pm and that WestJet did not authorize a late checkout. How should I proceed?

On the flight #[redacted] that departed from Shy Harbour on November 29th, we had confirmed our wheelchair assistance request with the check-in agent. However, upon arrival, we were surprised to be told to line up for a wheelchair and push it ourselves to the gate, despite having premium seating. In Calgary, a wheelchair was provided but I was asked to push it part of the way. After security, I had to handle two pieces of luggage and push the chair to the concourse. It was a challenging experience, and I hope to avoid this issue on our next flight scheduled for January 2, [redacted].

Our flight from Calgary to Comox on December 1, [redacted], was cancelled while we were traveling from Mexico to Calgary for our connecting flight to Comox on December 2. We had a restless night worrying about the situation and the following morning, we received an email notifying us of a delay on our flight from Puerto Vallarta to Calgary. Unfortunately, we were unaware that hotel and meal vouchers were offered upon our arrival in Calgary as we didn't have internet access after leaving Puerto Vallarta. Being in our mid-70s, this experience was quite distressing for us, and we would appreciate compensation for the inconvenience caused.

My spouse and I flew on Westjet from YEG to PVR with a layover in YCC last Saturday. Unfortunately, her luggage did not arrive at the destination. Upon contacting the airport, we were given conflicting information about the whereabouts of the bag. Despite reassurances, the suitcase did not arrive even after multiple trips to the airport. An email received on Sunday claimed the bag had been located and was en route to PVR, but as of today, Monday, it has yet to be delivered. The claim number for this incident is PVRWS11682, associated with Flight WS2250 and bag tag YEGSS049. We kindly request for the bag to be directly delivered to our current location in Mexico. Additionally, it would be beneficial to have a reliable international contact number.

Hello, I hope you're well. I recently encountered an issue with WestJet when I phoned them from Canada to inquire about bringing generators from there to Cuba. I was informed there wouldn't be any issue as long as they were empty of gasoline. I proceeded to pay for two checked bags to transport the generators, only to be told upon arrival that it wasn't allowed. Strangely, another individual was able to proceed with their generators without any trouble. I'm confused as to why I faced this discrepancy, especially after paying for the additional luggage. It all seems rather unfair to me.

I recently booked a flight from YYC to SJC through Skyscanner.ca with the booking reference SKYCA-[redacted]. Unfortunately, our travel plans have been affected by our son's health. He was diagnosed with stage 4 Colorectal cancer, and we are now focused on his treatment at the Tom Baker Cancer Clinic. I am kindly requesting assistance in changing our reservation to open tickets that we can use within a year when our son's condition improves. My daughter is stuck in Calgary for the night. Her flight from LHR to YYC was severely delayed, causing her to miss her connection to YVR at 6:30 pm on WS125. WestJet has rebooked her on the 5:30 pm YYC to YVR WS123 flight on Tuesday, Dec. 20th. She's tired, upset, and has nowhere to stay. During our trip to Vancouver, our flight was canceled, and WestJet has rebooked us on separate flights. I kindly request to have my husband and I fly home together on 12/21/22 as we need to attend my mom's funeral the next day. On December 15, [redacted], I took flights [redacted] from Kelowna to Vancouver and [redacted] from Vancouver to Prince George. Unfortunately, my luggage was damaged during the journey. I attempted to file a damaged bag claim immediately, but encountered difficulties as the flight number was not being recognized on my phone, resulting in error messages. Now that I am back home and have access to a computer, I tried to submit the baggage claim report online. Unfortunately, the system doesn't allow claims for dates as far back as December 15. Upon my arrival in Prince George, it was late and there were no staff members available to assist with my damaged bag issue.

WestJet canceled my flight and sent me an email six hours later offering options: waiting for alternative flights within 48 hours or canceling for a full refund. Due to chaos at YVR airport and what seems like insufficient staff or concern from the airline, I couldn't find available flights. I opted to cancel my flight as per WestJet's offer, but I was informed that it will take 30 days to process my refund. Thirty days? When it was WestJet who canceled my flight?

I flew on WS108 at 10 am on December 18 from Vancouver to Calgary. Unfortunately, after four hours in the air, the captain informed us that the flight was canceled. I got a call from Westjet to rebook me on WS0116 at 2 pm on December 24. Surprisingly, I later received an email stating that this flight was also canceled. I flew on WS108 at 10 am on December 18 from Vancouver to Calgary. The flight was canceled after four hours onboard. Westjet rescheduled me for WS116 at 2 pm on December 24, but I got an email saying it was canceled too. The YVR website shows WS116 is on time for December 24 at 2 pm. I need confirmation if the flight is departing as scheduled. Please contact me via email or phone to confirm if I should proceed to the airport.

On December 22nd, our flight from Saskatoon was delayed, causing us to miss our connection to WS [redacted] to Lethbridge in Calgary. Instead, friends kindly drove us to Lethbridge. However, I've been having trouble filling out the delayed baggage report online, as it keeps giving me errors and mentioning customs, which is not relevant to us. The request for photocopies of our tickets is confusing, as I don't know where I can submit this information. I'm concerned about our baggage reaching Lethbridge since there were no WestJet personnel at the airport when I checked, especially since there was a flight from Calgary today. This situation is incredibly frustrating.

This morning, my daughter and four grandchildren were supposed to travel to St. John's. Unfortunately, their early flight got canceled, and there were no other options provided. It's been years since I last saw my grandkids, and I can't bear to disappoint them, especially during the holiday season. It's heartbreaking to think of explaining to a 5-year-old that their presents are far away. I've been in tears for hours. Is there a chance they could be rebooked for a flight tomorrow or even on Boxing Day? I'm holding onto hope for a Christmas miracle for my family.

Reservation code VXNXFZ. Our flight WS652 to Toronto got canceled, causing us to miss our connecting flight WS2770 to Roatan, as this flight is only available once a week. Waiting for a week for our vacation is not an option. We have prepaid for hotels, scuba diving, and tours in Roatan, and missing these will result in substantial financial losses. Stranded in Calgary without winter clothing, we seek assistance on how to reach Roatan promptly to avoid further financial strain. Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

During my flight from Montreal to Toronto in June, my suitcase was damaged. I completed a form with a WestJet agent at the airport immediately after landing. After having to purchase a new suitcase, I submitted another form for a refund. It has been seven months, and I have not received any updates or responses despite being informed it would take around two months for a refund. I have tried reaching out via email and phone, but have been unsuccessful in contacting them from France. I am considering taking legal action as WestJet owes me at least $[redacted].

My connecting Westjet flight DL7153 from Toronto to Vancouver was cancelled by the airline last minute on December 22. They provided a one-night hotel voucher and promised to contact us with options on December 23, but no one has reached out yet. I've been trying to reach Westjet and their codeshare partner Delta with no success, and they haven't offered any alternative flight options. I'm currently stuck on my own in Toronto, hoping for a solution to get back home to Vancouver promptly.
