I experienced significant issues with West Jett Flight No. [redacted] from Toronto to Montego Bay on December 24th. From a delayed take-off to arriving at our final destination without our luggage, it was a frustrating journey. The customer service at Montego Bay airport was unhelpful and left approximately 80 passengers feeling hopeless. We were not provided with any reference numbers for the lost baggage application forms we needed to fill out, adding to the stress of the situation. To make matters worse, I have been unable to reach the West Jett offices in Jamaica or Toronto for assistance. I am seeking any information available about the status of our luggage, such as its current location and the possibility of receiving it before our return to Toronto.

I have not received any information about my canceled flight to Vancouver. My flight number is [redacted], seat 15D, with e-ticket number [redacted][redacted]. I waited at Sky Harbor in Phoenix for two days before giving up and finding alternative transportation to a friend's house. Due to the canceled flight, I missed important medical appointments for my liver transplant check-up. I have managed to redo the blood work in San Carlos and the CT scan in Guaymas, costing a total of 19,[redacted] pesos or $[redacted].30 US dollars. I also incurred additional expenses for hotels and Uber rides. Missing Christmas with my 92-year-old mother, children, and grandchildren was very disappointing. My recent flight experience has been extremely frustrating. On December 25th, I departed from Toronto for Calgary with a layover before heading to Phoenix. The flight from Toronto was delayed due to frozen water on the plane, resulting in a 1-hour and 20-minute delay. Upon landing in Calgary, a passenger had a medical emergency, leading to us staying on the plane for an extended period. Consequently, I missed my connecting flight to Phoenix. Despite being instructed by Westjet staff to get a hotel and assured of receiving rebooking information via email, I recently discovered that Westjet marked us as a "No show," which disqualifies us from compensation. After numerous phone calls, I am now attempting to reach Westjet for clarification, but I have been on hold for an hour without any success. If anyone has any advice on how to proceed in this situation, I would greatly appreciate it.

My spouse and I submitted a complaint report and have not received any updates. We traveled from Phoenix, AZ, to Kelowna via Edmonton, AB, on December 18th, [redacted]. We experienced a 3-hour and 55-minute delay in Edmonton. Our luggage did not arrive in Kelowna, and we filled out a missing baggage form for two bags. The online status still shows that they are attempting to locate the bags. I believe we are entitled to the maximum compensation considering the service issues. The delay was due to a lack of staff for a flight I booked three months prior. This lack of coordination is unacceptable. Please provide a prompt response with your investigation results. Subject: WestJet and Expedia Flight Refund Issue
Hello,
I am contacting you regarding the refund for my return flight, which was not used due to a family emergency. On August 1st, during my vacation at Zoetry Isla Mujeres, I received news that my mother's health had significantly deteriorated, and I needed to return home immediately.
After multiple discussions with both Expedia and WestJet, a WestJet representative helped us book a new flight for August 2nd under a compassionate fare due to the emergency situation. We were assured that our original flight for August 7th was cancelled.
However, I have now been informed by Expedia that WestJet claims the original flight was never cancelled. I appeal to your understanding that in such circumstances, the booking of an emergency flight should imply the cancellation of the later flight.
I kindly request a refund for the unused return flight on August 7th and appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.

I applied for the RBC WestJet Mastercard 7 months ago, but our WestJet accounts were never linked to the RBC Mastercard. Despite spending thousands of dollars, we have not received any WestJet points. We were eligible for [redacted] bonus points by spending $7,[redacted] in the first 3 months, which we have done. After contacting RBC, they provided me with a case number. When I followed up three weeks later, I learned that the case had not been escalated, so it was changed to #99 for urgency. I was then directed to WestJet, but they are currently not available by phone, likely due to the holiday flight cancellations. I will continue to monitor the situation.

I am having trouble completing the fields on the WestJet online travel insurance claim form. The form does not seem to recognize the four-digit flight number from my boarding pass (originally sold as Delta flight #[redacted], but also includes WestJet flight #[redacted]). I have tried entering the departure city in various formats (city; city, state; city airport as listed on the boarding pass) but it is not accepted. Our flight from Winnipeg to Edmonton on December 22, [redacted] was canceled. I contacted Cheapoair to cancel our return flight from Edmonton to Winnipeg on December 26, but it seems there was an oversight. I was scheduled to take flight WS3229 from Calgary to Edmonton at 6:00 p.m. on December 28, [redacted]. Due to multiple delays, I arrived in Edmonton at 9:00 p.m. on December 28. Subsequently, I flew WS3313 from Edmonton to Kelowna, arriving at 12:30 a.m. on December 29, [redacted]. Despite waiting at the airport until 3:30 a.m., my luggage was not delivered, and I received no explanation or assistance. Having filled out the lost/damaged luggage form, contacted WestJet multiple times, and checked online tracking to no avail, I am deeply frustrated. The lost items include Christmas presents, gift cards, new clothes, and personal belongings, affecting my vacation and the gifts intended for my grandchildren. I seek compensation and the prompt return of my possessions.

On December 21, [redacted], WestJet arranged a hotel room for me due to a cancelled flight from PVR to YVR. I was transported to Krystal Resort. I wanted to share my disappointing experience at the hotel with WestJet. The room I stayed in was uncomfortably cold because the air conditioning could not be adjusted. Despite contacting housekeeping twice, nobody came to help. After managing to turn off the air conditioning, I found there were no towels in the bathroom. After contacting housekeeping, it took about 15 minutes for them to bring towels. Additionally, there were no hangers for my clothes or a chair in the room. The next morning (December 22), I took a taxi to the airport after having breakfast at the hotel. I appreciate WestJet providing the accommodation and organizing an alternative flight. I wanted to bring these issues to your attention.

On December 21, I took a WestJet flight from Lethbridge to Calgary, intending to continue on to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the flight from Calgary to Los Angeles was canceled due to bad weather. This caused a chain of events where WestJet agents in Lethbridge prevented me from boarding the flight to Calgary as there were no departing flights or hotel accommodations available. Consequently, I had to remain in Lethbridge until January 4 to rebook my flights. I am requesting a refund for both the Lethbridge to Calgary and Calgary to Los Angeles flights that were scheduled for December 21. As a resident of Japan returning home after a semester studying abroad at the University of Lethbridge in Canada, a WestJet flight credit does not serve my needs. My airline credit with WestJet has expired, Flight Int. No. [redacted][redacted], valued at $[redacted].00. The credit was under Richard Williams, my husband. I've reached out to Expedia, but received conflicting information blaming each other. I find this situation unfair as we were unaware of the credit's expiry. On the return flight to Barbados on November 21st, Flight [redacted], my suitcase sustained irreparable damage. My reservation Code is LULVEG. I reported the issue to a WestJet officer at the Barbados airport, filing complaint reference #BGIWS10124 immediately upon receiving the damaged luggage.
On November 24th, I reached out to [redacted] and received an automated response. I attached photos of the damaged suitcase to my written complaint for reference.
Despite being informed that I would receive a response within 21 business days, I have not heard back from WestJet yet. Your prompt resolution is crucial as the damaged suitcase was one of a set of 3 given to me as a retirement gift. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

I booked a four-week all-inclusive package (MHHFWZ) from Vancouver to Riu Emerald Bay Mazatlan from Nov. 25 to Dec. 23. Unfortunately, our return flight on Dec. 23 (WS2043) was canceled, leaving us stranded. Gustavo, a WestJet representative, helped us relocate to El Cid until a rescue flight to Calgary on Dec. 25 (WS2395). Our subsequent flight from Calgary to Vancouver (WS111) on Dec. 26 was also canceled, but we managed to get on WS127 that evening, arriving in YVR around 9:00 pm. I had to buy a return flight on WS2043 for Dec. 30 due to lack of communication, costing $[redacted], which I canceled the next day. Additionally, I spent $[redacted] on hotel and meals in Calgary and $42 on extra parking at YVR. If I had been informed of the rescue flight, I wouldn't have made these arrangements. I flew from Winnipeg to Puerto Vallarta on WestJet flight WS [redacted] on February 1, [redacted]. I was seated in seat 16E. I believe my wallet, which holds my ID, credit and debit cards, Canadian and peso currency, may have fallen under my seat. The seats were too tight for me to check underneath. Could you please search that side of the plane and specifically under my seat for my black soft leather wallet? I want to share my experience with the cancelled flight WS [redacted] to Tampa on Feb 4 at 9:45 am. After waiting 50 minutes in line at the ticket counter, along with other passengers from the same cancelled flight, we were told by Anthony, who identified himself as the supervisor, that they would not assist us and to contact management for any complaints. Despite other passengers being helped, he refused to assist us, citing management instructions. Frustrated, we approached Amar, who efficiently rebooked us in just 10 minutes, saving the day. Anthony lacked empathy and customer service, while Amar went above and beyond. It would be beneficial to replace staff like Anthony with more individuals like Amar to improve customer satisfaction.

I had a flight cancelation over Christmas because of mechanical problems. I submitted a claim to WestJet, but they denied compensation for my partner and me. Interestingly, our friends on the same flight initially got the same response but eventually received $[redacted] each after explaining the situation. I have a few questions that I would like to ask:
- I recently set up the Westjet app after booking two flights. I was wondering if it's possible to add my Rewards ID to these flights. If I need to contact Westjet, could you provide me with the phone number and steps to speak with a representative? I am having trouble navigating their customer service line. Alternatively, could someone possibly reach out to me to assist with this matter?
- I am unsure if my driver's license is sufficient identification for a domestic flight or if I also need a passport.
- My booking indicates Check-in Required. Can I complete this process via the app 24 hours prior to my flight, or must I check in at the airport? If I can check in before arriving at the airport, do I simply proceed to the gate through security?
- How can I receive email notifications regarding my flight status? Or should I check the app for this information?
It has been a while since I last flew, and I would appreciate your understanding as I navigate these new procedures.
