A few months ago, my account got blocked because of "unusual registration" like registering multiple accounts simultaneously or using unauthorized software. However, I only registered once using the official app from the App Store. I never shared my login details, and only I had access to my account, so I'm unsure why it was blocked. I did not link a phone number to my WeChat before changing my number a month ago. Today, when attempting to link my new phone number, I received an error stating it is already connected to another account. It seems that the previous owner of my current number had linked it to their WeChat. How can I connect my new number to WeChat on my device now?

I recently received a message from the WeChat team indicating a temporary login followed by a potential block due to numerous message requests being sent simultaneously. I have encountered an issue with my WeChat account being blocked due to "Reported for Sending too many greetings." Unfortunately, the self-service unblock feature is not currently accessible. When attempting to unblock the account through this option, it requires the mobile number that was registered when the account was opened. However, that mobile number is no longer in my possession and is currently inactive. My new mobile number is not being accepted during the unblock process. (Note: I lived in one country when I opened the account and currently reside in another country.)

I am seeking assistance to unblock my WeChat account, as it has been blocked due to excess greeting messages. The self-service unblock option requires the registered mobile number from when the account was created. However, I no longer have that number, as it is inactive. I now reside in a different country and cannot use the new mobile number to unblock the account.
Upon checking the WeChat help center, I came across a suggested solution. It recommends using the same phone number that was previously used successfully for unblocking. If that number is not available, it suggests waiting at least 31 days from the last successful unblocking before trying a different phone number.
I urgently need to regain access to my WeChat account and would appreciate your guidance on resolving this matter promptly.

My WeChat account has been blocked for over two weeks now. Before it was blocked, I was using an iPhone X. Unfortunately, the screen broke, so I logged into my account on my second phone, a Samsung Note 5. To my surprise, on the 15th of this month, my WeChat account was blocked for reasons I don't agree with. I'm requesting that my account be unblocked as it is crucial for my school activities.

Hello, I have been facing issues with WeChat continuously blocking my accounts such as Ali5ha and AL1SHAA for reasons like non-compliance. I primarily use WeChat to stay in touch with my family abroad and friends, and I believe I am a courteous user. To circumvent the blocks, I have resorted to creating new accounts by purchasing new phone numbers. This process is time-consuming and frustrating. I previously sought GetHuman's assistance in unblocking my WeChat account successfully. In November, I created a WeChat account to prepare for my upcoming teaching job in China. Unfortunately, my account got blocked right after due to what seemed like an unusual registration. I suspect this may be because I was residing in Chile but using my UK mobile number for verification. WeChat's policy states that an existing contact is needed to verify accounts set up outside China. As I don't have contacts in China yet, I'm in a bit of a bind. I've diligently filled out the online help form multiple times but the customer support team just keeps sending the same form for me to complete again. I'm feeling frustrated as I simply want my account unblocked to proceed with my plans.

I'm prompted to log back into WeChat, so I requested an SMS code, which I entered. However, upon logging in, a message appeared stating that my account had been locked due to unusual registration activities. To unlock my account, I clicked OK and completed the puzzle piece verification, then entered my region as the United Kingdom and my mobile number as [redacted]4. After several attempts to receive the verification code via SMS, I was unsuccessful. I tried going back and selecting SMS again, but encountered the same issue.

Regarding the remittance I was expecting, it pertains to a WeChat to Palawan transaction on February 3, [redacted]. I was in the Philippines at that time, and my helper sent me money through WeChat. While it indicated that the money was picked up, I hadn't received it. I suspect there may have been a scam. Unfortunately, the branch couldn't assist me in tracking the location of the pickup. My WeChat account was permanently blocked due to using an unauthorized plug-in or non-official app, making self-service unblocking impossible. I'm a regular user relying on WeChat to stay connected with friends, especially through chats, photos, and video calls. Accessing my account is vital to me, and I've attempted account recovery with no success as the required support page is unavailable. I've heard that once WeChat permanently blocks an account, there are limited options, and the only chance is to appeal to the WeChat team for unblocking. I set up my WeChat account approximately four years ago while I was working in China for the first time. After my contract ended in [redacted], I left. Upon my return in late [redacted], I had to change my sim card, losing access to the phone number associated with my WeChat account. Recently, I was unexpectedly logged out of my account, and realizing I had forgotten my password, I attempted to reset it.
