I recently noticed that my mileage plus account expired without any notification. I am urgently trying to reinstate it to travel to Tucson, where my father is in hospice care due to an inoperable brain tumor. I previously spoke with a supervisor in customer service who advised me to submit documentation proving my father's hospice status. I have now submitted the required documents, but another person is requesting different information. I have asked for clear instructions via email to avoid providing incorrect documents. Can United provide a specific form that complies with HIPAA regulations for this situation? The supervisor promised a call back within 3 hours, which has now passed by over 5 hours. Please respond via email with the exact requirements to move forward. Thank you, Erin S. [redacted]. My mileage number is NF543037.

My husband and I purchased a ticket for our niece to join us on a trip to Hawaii. Unfortunately, she was accepted into a school to become a flight attendant and couldn't make the journey. Despite two attempts to receive a refund, we were denied. I am frustrated that even though we paid for the ticket, we were unable to get our money back or transfer it to someone else. I am extremely disappointed with United's customer service and lack of consistency in their responses. We were given different information every time we called and were incorrectly advised to submit our request online for a refund. I have decided that I will no longer choose United for my future flights and will be sharing my negative experience with others. It's frustrating to lose out on the money and feel like our situation was not handled properly.

My spouse and I bought a ticket for my niece to accompany us on our Hawaii trip. Unfortunately, she got into flight attendant school just before our departure and couldn't join us. Despite our attempts, we have been unsuccessful in securing a refund for the ticket. It's frustrating that only she can use the ticket we paid for. We have contacted customer service multiple times and received conflicting information. We were assured online refund requests would suffice, but the process seems disorganized. I am deeply disappointed with UNITED's handling of this situation. I will share my negative experience widely and have decided not to fly with them again.

My family of six was scheduled for a 6 am flight from AVP. When I tried to print our tickets, I noticed that my 14-year-old son was not assigned a seat. Despite booking over the phone with an agent, the system would not let me assign him one without an additional charge. After a frustrating hour-long call with the airline, we missed our flight to Tampa. This relocation is essential due to employment reasons, and having faced multiple flight cancellations including one due to overbooking last time, missing another flight is extremely inconvenient. It's baffling why a flight would be overbooked when I had reservations for my family. This situation has not only caused inconvenience to us but has also impacted our extended family.

My wife and I have a flight on October 12 from Seattle to Chicago with Alaska Airlines, landing at 6:55 am. We mistakenly booked a United flight through Expedia for 9:05 pm instead of am, leaving us with a 14-hour layover. Expedia advised us to cancel the flight due to costly changes. We need to arrive in Toronto earlier that day on a United flight. We are considering canceling our Alaska Airlines flight to book United from Seattle to Toronto. Any assistance would be appreciated, as we are on a fixed income. Thank you in advance for your help.

I am requesting a reimbursement of $[redacted].00 for baggage fees as we had to retrieve our own luggage due to United's mishandling. Additionally, I am seeking $66.89 for expenses in San Francisco airport caused by missing our connecting flight to SMF from Denver. We were delayed six hours and had to rush to catch an alternate flight. I also purchased a poor-quality Gouda cheeseburger onboard for $9.99. Our travel companions were Bryant and I, with last names Vendley. The conditions aboard the plane were unacceptable, being kept for two hours with engine issues. We were only given water despite passengers feeling unwell. I believe all four of us deserve compensation for the inconvenience, missing meals, running through airports, and the overall poor experience. Being stranded without assistance is disappointing. Please address this matter promptly. Thank you.

One of your pilots, Ms. Kip Koppi, is alleged to have engaged in inappropriate behavior with a coworker during an Allegiant flight, compromising the safety of over [redacted] passengers and crew. Such actions on duty are concerning and will be reported to the FAA. The claim also involves her carrying a firearm through TSA for an ex-boyfriend, breaching security protocols. These serious allegations raise safety and professionalism concerns.

During a river cruise on the Monarch Princess in September [redacted], Marianito experienced blood in his urine without pain. Upon returning to the US on September 11, [redacted], we canceled our connecting flight to Seattle from Newark to seek medical attention for him. After landing, we contacted our daughter Deborah Briones for assistance and stayed at her home in Maywood, NJ. We scheduled an appointment with Dr. Vincent Lanteri at the New Jersey Center for Prostate Cancer and Urology, where Marianito was diagnosed with severe prostatitis, a slightly enlarged prostate, and BPH obstruction. Treatment included antibiotics and medication. Follow-up visits showed improvement with no more bloody urine, and further appointments were scheduled for monitoring the condition.

My wife and I encountered travel issues during our recent trip from Manila to Boston with three connecting flights. The first leg, Manila to Shanghai on China Eastern MU [redacted], was delayed causing us to miss our connection from Shanghai to SFO on UA [redacted]. United Airlines rebooked us on a different route, costing us an additional 2,[redacted] Chinese Yuan, but we are currently struggling to get updates on our refund claim with UA.
On the return trip from Boston to Manila, our baggage did not make it onto our connecting flight from Newark to Shanghai, resulting in a 24-hour delay before it reached us in Manila. We are requesting a refund and compensation of at least US $[redacted] for the inconvenience and expenses incurred due to these incidents.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to address the significant delays and flight cancellations my family faced in July [redacted]. Despite submitting customer complaint forms through your website three times, we have received no response or acknowledgment. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of customer care and am urgently requesting an investigation into our case.
Our family of five, Jonathan, Helen, Lily, William, and Alfie Mott, was supposed to fly to Chicago on July 21, [redacted], on flight UA [redacted] from T2 Heathrow at 14:50. Due to a plane issue mid-flight, we had to return to Heathrow without receiving our meal. The subsequent flight UA2810 on July 22 was also canceled. We encountered further delays and inconvenience which resulted in distress for our children, particularly our son with special needs.
We are seeking compensation for the canceled flights totaling £[redacted], as well as £[redacted].43 for additional expenses like taxi fares and food. Receipts are available upon request.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

I have an upcoming cruise and typically carry a carry-on with extra clothes due to my size. Recently, I realized my flight ticket doesn't allow carry-ons. This is a concern as I rely on these clothes if my luggage gets lost. My partner and I both need this extra clothing space due to our sizes, including packing my CPAP machine. The confirmation numbers are I5382Y and I3SZLL. In the future, I plan to purchase upgraded tickets to avoid this issue. Any assistance is welcomed. Thank you, Darlene U. and Tammy G.

I need assistance with my recent flight with Air India. My initial flight was confirmed under DK5D7D from Washington, DC on August 31st with UA [redacted] but encountered a delay causing me to miss my connection to Mumbai via EWR on UA 48. Despite being denied accommodation, I incurred expenses of $[redacted] for lodging and additional costs of $50 for taxi and meals. My rebooking for AI [redacted] on September 1st at 2:15 p.m. was problematic as seats weren't secured properly, leading to multiple visits to the United and Air India desks. Although my baggage was meant to be rerouted by United, it was not transferred, resulting in further expenses of $50 for undergarments, $60 for hair products, and $80 for taxi fees from Mumbai to Pune. I am requesting reimbursement of $[redacted] for the inconvenience caused, with a possible total amount of $[redacted] for a two days' delay, or my exact expenses of $[redacted]. I hope for a swift and professional resolution from Air India as the final carrier of my journey to Mumbai.

My daughter and I missed our flight from Denver to St. George on October 2, [redacted] due to a series of delays caused by United Airlines. Our connecting flight left earlier than scheduled, and despite reaching the gate on time, the plane had already departed. The crew on the previous flight reassured us that the other flight knew we were coming and would wait, but unfortunately, that didn't happen. We had to book a different flight to Salt Lake City and drive [redacted] miles home due to the situation. We were informed by a desk clerk that we should be eligible for a refund of the price difference between the flights and reimbursement for the rental car and gas expenses. I'm disappointed in United's handling of the situation and the lack of communication at the gate. I would like to request a refund for the flight change and additional expenses incurred.

My wife's flight from Nashville to Dulles was delayed by 55 minutes due to staffing issues, resulting in her missing the connecting flight to Portland, ME. The airline could only offer a flight for the next morning with no accommodations for the night. When inquiring about alternative flights, they only checked with American Airlines, finding no available options for tonight. I am concerned as I had a similar experience at JFK a few months ago, where the accommodation provided was minimal. I hope my wife's experience will be better than mine.

I would like to address an incident involving flight attendant R on Flight [redacted], October 8, [redacted], from Columbus to Chicago departing at 11:30 am. The situation occurred during beverage service while I was waiting near the restroom trying not to disrupt the staff. R approached for coffee, and I moved aside. However, R abruptly asked me to step out of the way, which I found unnecessary given the ample space available. Upon disembarking, I mentioned R could improve on their PR skills, to which they responded arrogantly. I simply wanted to avoid obstructing their work with the cart and return to my seat smoothly. Clarifying instructions would have sufficed, and I would have complied willingly.

During our recent business trip, every segment of our United Airlines flight presented challenges, particularly when we were stranded in Denver for two nights on our journey back due to operational issues.
On the outbound trip, we faced last-minute gate changes and delays from Houston to Denver, resulting in a missed connection to Bozeman. Our subsequent wait for the next flight was prolonged, causing us to miss a vital business engagement, encounter hotel check-in problems, and fail to get adequate rest before an essential workshop.
The return flight from Bozeman to Denver on 8/11 was initially delayed and eventually cancelled, leaving us with no available United Airlines seats until 8/13. As a small start-up with two employees, we lost valuable work time and incurred unforeseen expenses. The customer service representative in Denver directed us to arrange our own accommodation due to the high demand.
Although we received instructions on how to request compensation with a reference number, the proposed amounts do not cover our expenses, including two hotel nights, meals, transportation, additional airport parking, pet-sitting costs, and lost work hours. Unfortunately, the return flight on 8/13 was also delayed, marking each leg of our journey being affected by operational issues.
We are requesting a full ticket refund or complimentary tickets for future travel, along with reimbursement to cover our losses. United Airlines offered a $[redacted] check, a $[redacted] voucher for future flights, and apologized for the inconvenience caused during our extended stay in Denver.

I am attempting to book a United flight online. I have input all the necessary details but encountered an issue when entering the Promotional Code and Pin number. A red message appeared stating, "We cannot validate this information, please contact the Electronic Center." After reaching out to them, I did not receive assistance. I have two "UNITED TRAVEL DISCOUNT COUPONS" each offering a 10% discount on any published fare United offers. The Promotion Code for both coupons is 07CKPT. The first coupon's Pin is 79EA36N81 while the second coupon's Pin is 36NP91C21. Additionally, on the back of both coupons, there is Promotion Reference GG CKPT. These coupons have no expiration date and do not mention any Booking Code restrictions. I would like assistance in using these coupons for a reservation for two individuals. I am a United Mileage Plus Member for 19 years. Thank you, L.E.

I have a 20-year-old Lory who is 7 inches long and 3 inches tall, and he serves as my emotional support animal. I previously traveled with Southwest Airlines with the necessary papers, but their policy changed on October 17, [redacted]. Unfortunately, my psychologist, Dr. Jose Luis Herrera, passed away in December [redacted]. My psychiatrist is currently on vacation and will return on November 1. My name is Vinnie Alvarado, and you can reach me at [redacted]. I need to fly from Puerto Rico to Tampa before November 3, but other airlines have refused me due to lack of medical records. I also need to return to Puerto Rico by November 16. I have all the required documents from my veterinarian, psychiatrist, and proof of residence. I kindly ask for your understanding and assistance in accepting these documents for my upcoming travel. Thank you for considering my situation. Best regards, Vinnie Alvarado.

Dear Community,
I want to share my recent experience with United Airlines regarding my booking from Cleveland, OH, US (CLE) to Kuala Lumpur, MY (KUL). After receiving multiple notification emails about ticketing delays and being charged three times on my credit card, I reached out to United's Customer Contact Center.
Despite my efforts since October 5, [redacted], to rectify the situation, the issue persisted with no resolution in sight. After continuous back-and-forth between my credit card bank and United’s Customer Contact Center, I was assured that two erroneous charges would be reversed, and only one ticket would be charged.
This ongoing saga has caused significant inconvenience and financial strain, with three pending charges of $1,[redacted].46 each still looming. We are diligently working with United and our credit card company to resolve this issue promptly before our scheduled departure on October 16, [redacted].
Thank you for any assistance or guidance you may offer.
Best regards,
H. and T. Clark
