The following are issues that customers reported to GetHuman about Twitch customer service, archive #2. It includes a selection of 20 issue(s) reported October 23, 2018 onward. If you have a similar customer service issue, this page will help you find current, up-to-date answers and solutions too.
On October 23 at 1 AM, my channel was suspended while I was drawing an anime girl on "Clip Studio Paint EX". During the stream, someone mentioned I was violating terms of service for drawing possibly inappropriate content, but didn't specify the issue. I didn't realize nudity in drawings could be a violation and couldn't find a rule against it in Twitch's ToS. After the conversation, my stream abruptly stopped, leading to the suspension. Losing my channel left me feeling devastated, shocked, and numb. I never expected a drawing to result in an immediate suspension. I am deeply saddened and willing to comply with any rules to have my channel reinstated; I just want to get back to streaming.

I received an email from Twitch last night inviting me to become a Twitch Affiliate. When I started streaming on my PS4 as usual, my viewers noticed a black screen and no audio. Checking on my computer, I saw the same issue - just a black screen with no sound. The "on air" indicator in the top right corner of my TV, which normally turns red when broadcasting, wasn't lighting up. I urgently need assistance to resolve this problem as I'm actively working towards reaching Twitch Partner status. Adjusting the resolution from [redacted] to [redacted] hasn't helped and despite having good internet, the issue persists. I've tried various solutions without success.

I am Del Butler and I set up a Twitch account to stream my PC games with SweetFX mods, but I am unable to connect to Twitch servers through Open Broadcaster Software like many others facing the same issue. Additionally, I am reluctant to use the apps Twitch suggests due to the excessive permissions needed to access Twitch accounts. After discovering that Amazon owns Twitch, I wonder why Amazon, with its considerable earnings, hasn't designed a secure desktop and mobile app solely for Twitch streaming that is safe and doesn't request such extensive permissions, potentially giving third-party developers control over Twitch accounts. I believe Amazon could hire an in-house team to develop an app tailored for Twitch that is solely managed and distributed by Amazon. Thank you.

My account got suspended unexpectedly due to an allegation of sharing nudity. I want to clarify that my moderators - AstrayKitty, MrKtMan, DarkZeroWarrior, PickupMan2122, and SmartAssBones can confirm that this is untrue. I focus on banning and timing out trolls, never sharing any explicit content.

I am frustrated to learn that the streamer I moderate for was denied partnership due to viewer bot issues. I have personally identified and banned these bots from multiple channels I moderate, yet their names persist. It is essential to provide moderators with the necessary tools to address these issues effectively. When banning a viewer, they should not be able to access the channel at all. It is disheartening that some streamers with viewer bot problems still achieve partnership status unchecked. I urge for better communication and assistance from your team and stress the importance of human involvement in resolving these matters. My efforts to reach out have been in vain, and I demand a response to address these ongoing challenges before more moderators and community members are affected.

As a Twitch affiliate, it is mandatory to use 2-step verification for logging into my account. Instead of using the Authy app, I opted for receiving my login code via SMS to my phone. However, I recently changed my phone number due to moving, and now I am locked out of my Twitch account as I am unable to receive the verification code. It would be helpful if Twitch could offer an alternative option to send the code to the user's email in case they lose access to their phone.

I recently changed my old username from IAMCHICKENLEG but it didn't go as planned. My attempt to change it to ChickenIeg using a capital "I" instead of a lowercase "L" ended up looking weird as "Chickenieg" after confirmation. Unfortunately, I cannot make another change for 60 days. This poses a problem as many people know me as IAMCHICKENLEG, and the sudden change to Chickenieg might make me unrecognizable. It would be helpful if I could get another name change or even revert to my old username.

As a streamer with over 1.7k followers and growing, I have been experiencing a recurring issue with a few individuals entering my stream using offensive names and making inappropriate comments despite being banned previously. I've reported this behavior numerous times, but unfortunately, no actions have been taken against them. It is becoming increasingly challenging to create content while having to address these disruptions. I am urging the platform to consider banning their IP addresses to prevent them from creating new accounts and violating the terms of service repeatedly. The user "GUCCILOUIS69" is a prime example, as they continue to return under different names to spread the same offensive messages. Your assistance in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, my name is Justin Hoffmann, and I am a Twitch.tv streamer with the username Drazz647. I recently applied for Twitch affiliate status after meeting all the requirements, and I received an email confirming my application. However, it has been a week, and my application is still under review at step 3. I tried reaching out via email, but it seems like my messages are being ignored. I know others who were invited to be affiliates after me and got approved within an hour. I'm not sure if there's something wrong with my application or what I should do next. I would appreciate any assistance from Twitch to resolve this issue. Thank you for your help, Justin Hoffmann (Drazz647).

Hello, my daughter had a negative experience with your company. She was unfairly removed from the gaming and streaming platform, losing all her progress. She faced harassment from another user, "FIVEHOLEGAMEING," who repeatedly made hurtful comments and encouraged self-harm. Gaming is her coping mechanism for mental health issues, and the actions of this individual have been distressing. I request a thorough investigation into this situation before considering further steps. Thank you - Michael P.

About two years ago, I created a Twitch account called "BlitzAteMe" to watch streamers, but I forgot the password as I didn't use it much. So, I made a new account "BlitzAteMeLive." Roughly a year later, I changed my mind and wanted to use "BlitzAteMe" instead. After some effort, I managed to log back into the original account and deleted it to free up the username. However, despite no one else having that name, I am unable to switch "BlitzAteMeLive" to "BlitzAteMe." Can anyone advise me on how to regain the original username and make the switch? Thank you for any assistance or guidance provided.

Three months ago, I attempted to link my Twitch Prime account to my Blizzard account to claim Overwatch loot. The process automatically selected an unintended alt account without notifying me, resulting in the loot being sent to the wrong account. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue by unlinking and relinking accounts, contacting Amazon, Twitch, and Blizzard customer support did not bring a solution. I have been unable to receive the loot I paid for on my correct Blizzard account. I hope Blizzard/Twitch can credit my account with the missing "wrecking ball" and "golden" loot boxes I am entitled to.

I have been unfairly permabanned for allegedly breaking undisclosed rules on Twitch. Twitch instructed me to resolve it with the streamer, who has since cut off all communication avenues. There is no provided email for appealing bans.
I suggest implementing rights for chatters and bit cheerers, including a Twitch Court where a streamer must justify a permanent ban. Chatters should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
It's frustrating that disputes heavily favor streamers, with Twitch seemingly ignoring complaints against them. Chatters support Twitch financially, not the streamers. Streamers pay nothing to stream but take a cut of 40 cents from every cheered dollar.
If I were a Twitch streamer, I wouldn't turn down free money. Transparent rules, like Billy Mitchell's on banning certain topics, would be clear. My bans were given for unspecified violations, and even though I didn't repeat them, I was banned twice for standing up for my rights post-violation.

I experienced inappropriate and offensive remarks from the streamer Cuppcaake and multiple streamers in her channel. When I politely asked if I could join the conversation again, they told me to "go suck a dick". I understand partners have more flexibility, but can something be done about this behavior? All I did was mention Cuppcaake looked tired after a long weekend. I was instantly screamed at and banned without breaking any rules. Is this how a Twitch streamer should act professionally? Shouldn't there be warnings or consequences? I believe any decent person would explain or respond appropriately. There are still people in the channel screaming and cursing at others. Is this the positivity being promoted? Is this the behavior expected from a Twitch Partner? It seems becoming a Twitch Partner might have low standards if this is tolerated. I was not trolling or being rude, but I received this treatment.

I subscribed to ShaggySteve and didn't receive the subscription or emote even though I was charged for it. Additionally, as a streamer, I encountered disruptive behavior from a streamer named MattsDubJunction and his followers. This individual was disrespectful in my channel, resulting in a ban, block, and report. Subsequently, two other followers engaged in similar behavior. One individual continued to create multiple accounts to bypass bans, causing significant disruption to my stream. These ongoing trolling incidents have made it challenging for me to maintain a positive streaming environment.

I purchased the OWL pass, but I am unable to access the HUD allowing me to spectate players. It prompts me to buy it again. I attached the receipt for reference. Additionally, I have yet to try Twitch Prime. Does Twitch Prime offer more Tokens, and will this issue be resolved soon? Thank you.

There seems to be a growing concern on Twitch regarding a trend where individuals engage in mind games to win over a particular girl's attention. By obtaining the girl's email address and using it to tailor conversations to her interests, they aim to increase revenue by being more likable. This competitive behavior can sometimes lead to unhealthy dynamics, such as isolation and emotional manipulation akin to "Stockholm syndrome." It's suggested that competitions on Twitch should focus on entertainment value and fair play rather than seeking approval from specific individuals. The writer shares personal experiences of feeling restricted in online interactions and highlights the importance of maintaining a positive online environment, similar to professional esports channels that prioritize professionalism and well-being. There's a suggestion that Twitch partners should be encouraged to uphold higher standards of conduct to promote a safe and enjoyable community.

I am encountering issues with my Twitch account, which I use for streaming via Streamlabs OBS. My real name is Kayla, but my Twitch handle is Lunaebear. After being signed out, I attempted to log back in and was prompted for a code sent to my inactive phone. I did not recall setting up Authy for this account. Twitch and Authy have asked challenging questions, then closed my ticket a week later. Achieving affiliate status and gaining [redacted] followers recently has made me reluctant to start anew. Streaming full-time is my passion, and I want to regain access. Unfortunately, I can't access the original email linked to the account. The only active email is the one provided below. I am willing to provide any necessary information to verify my identity. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I've been experiencing difficulties with my Twitch account as someone has continuously managed to access it despite my efforts to secure it. Despite changing my password multiple times, updating my email address, and enabling additional security measures such as the text message verification, I still receive emails indicating unauthorized logins from different countries. I am concerned about the ongoing security breaches and seek assistance in resolving this issue promptly. Your help in investigating and resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I found my Twitch account disconnected from my computer. After being unable to log back in, I checked my email and noticed three different logins over several days:
- 03/30 at 00:37 - Batu Caves, Selangor, Malaysia; IP: [redacted].[redacted].[redacted].94
- 04/04 at 02:01 - Hanoi, Hanoi, Vietnam; IP: [redacted].70.13.[redacted]
- 04/04 at 10:16 - Tunisy; IP: [redacted].[redacted].81.[redacted]
I tried various recovery methods but none worked because the email did not match the username (which is "Nadare"); I didn't receive the appropriate instructions via email to recover the username. For safety, I removed the credit card from my Amazon account and decided to link that account to the previous Twitch account without success. I chose to sign up again for Twitch by linking it to the Amazon account using the email [redacted] (previously [redacted]), with a new username ("Dederly") and completed the registration process. Afterward, I received an email notification on [redacted] about the access and connection to the new username (Dederly) and the disconnection from the previous username (Nadare). I found two accounts linked to Twitch Prime: the new one and the previous. To isolate intruders, I disconnected the previous username (after reading that I'd be able to re-link it later), but now I can't redeem previous offers claimed by "Nadare" nor find the previously redeemed monthly games. Unfortunately, I am unable to reconnect the old Nadare account to the new Dederly account and need help and clarification. How can I recover the previously redeemed games? How can I recover the previous username (Nadare) on the current Twitch account? How did they manage to access and disconnect the previous username from the email [redacted]?
