I purchased TurboTax Home & Business at BJ’s and installed it on my previous laptop. Unfortunately, my old laptop stopped working, so I got a new one where everything was transferred, including my TurboTax folder. However, I can only find the [redacted] Individual Tax form in the folder. Since my new laptop doesn't have a CD drive, I attempted to download TurboTax online. When I enter the license code, I receive a message saying it's already associated with an account. I can't locate TurboTax in my downloads or Program Files (x86) folder. Last year, a CPA did my taxes, but I usually use TurboTax. Trying to use it for my son's taxes led to a mix-up with the email addresses, so I created a new account and email but face the same license code issue. How can this be resolved? Is it possible to unlink the license code and start fresh? Once the license issue is fixed, can it be used for my taxes and my children's, as we all need the Home & Business version for our work with Uber Eats last year?
Appreciate any assistance, thanks!

I used TurboTax to file my taxes. The IRS sent my payment to the wrong account on February 8, [redacted]. They mentioned they needed to do a reversal or indemnification. I followed up after a couple of weeks, but nothing had been done. I am frustrated because the bank where the money was wrongly deposited cannot help, and the issue needs to be addressed by the originating bank. I need them to take action and resolve this promptly. On top of this, my taxes were also mishandled last year, and I still haven't received them. I just want clear guidance on the next steps and the protocol to address such situations. Holding on the phone daily isn't feasible. This entire situation feels unfair and inexcusable.

I am dissatisfied with the product and the customer service from TurboTax for multiple reasons. Firstly, the software inaccurately inputted data in IRS Form [redacted], likely due to a bug. Secondly, the customer service representatives gave conflicting advice on how to amend my return, with different interpretations of what "Return Processed by the IRS" meant. This caused confusion despite several calls to TurboTax. Ultimately, I found it more efficient to manually fill out Form [redacted]. Despite spending hours seeking help from TurboTax's "Tax Experts," the issue remains unresolved, leading to a frustrating experience.

I have been a long-time user of your service, but I must say that [redacted] has been quite a challenge. Is there any chance to speak with a real person at your company? The IRS claims my Federal Tax return was deposited into my bank, but I have yet to receive it. Turbo Tax, you have truly disappointed me this year. Where is my federal tax return? The phone system is extremely frustrating; the estimated 10-15 minute wait turned into 45 minutes, leading to a disconnection. After a lengthy wait, I finally connected with a representative on my second call. The hold time is only part of the problem, the difficulty in having the virtual assistant transfer the call is exasperating. The chat option was also unsuccessful. It seems unlikely that you will resolve this situation promptly, as your system typically functions well, but when issues arise, it feels like you abandon your customers. The incorrect amounts have not been rectified as of now.

I forgot that I filed my taxes using Cash App, and then mistakenly filed them again on TurboTax. I was charged $[redacted] by TurboTax, and my return was rejected as I had already filed elsewhere. I now realize that my first filing through Cash App was accepted. I am seeking a refund of the $[redacted] from TurboTax.

I am feeling very frustrated with TurboTax. They only seem interested in getting money for support. I cannot find a way to speak with a support representative. My e-file was rejected due to an incorrect AGI. I'm struggling to print a copy of my [redacted] return and need guidance on how to do so. It's ironic that TurboTax is advertised as free, but I just paid $[redacted] to use it. I will not be endorsing this product to others. Is there a way to receive genuine help?

My disabled sister had an Irrevocable Living Trust that was established. Sadly, she passed away in August [redacted]. After her passing, the remaining funds in the trust were divided between myself and my six siblings. I recently received a Schedule K-1 and input this information into desktop Premier TurboTax. However, TurboTax is prompting me to report the income received from the trust dissolution. I'm unsure where I should report the approximate $37,[redacted] I received in [redacted] from my sister's trust. How and where should I report this income?

I have used TurboTax for 35 years, and this year, I encountered an issue with the State program. When transferring information from the Federal [redacted] program, I realized that manual adjustments were necessary due to differences between Federal and State tax laws. The help representative, an Enrolled Agent, stated that users need to be familiar with the state-specific tax laws and provided me with the Franchise Tax Board's instructions. It appears that TurboTax expects users to make adjustments themselves. In my case, the problem occurred with the charitable deduction. It's essential for users to be aware of these discrepancies and potentially review the lengthy instruction booklet provided by the state tax authority to ensure accuracy in their state return filings. It's concerning that such discrepancies exist, as users like myself rely on TurboTax for guidance through the tax filing process.

I filed my federal return electronically and printed my state return today (04/11/[redacted]) due to previous issues with electronic filing last year. I experienced stress when the IRS considered me delayed despite filing on time. I was charged $59.00 for federal filing, which is fine, but an additional $49.00 for state filing because I chose to print and mail my state return. There is a glitch on the website that doesn't allow me to correct this. This issue occurred last year as well, so I'm frustrated why this glitch hasn't been fixed. Will this be a recurring problem for future returns? Waiting [redacted] minutes on the phone to fix this when it could be resolved on the website is inconvenient. My order # is TTWCC[redacted]59 on 04/11/[redacted]. Please contact me to confirm you have rectified the overcharge, or I may not use TurboTax next year. Thank you.

I encountered an issue with Tubotax software not downloading on my PC. An error message appeared stating the file could not be found in the cabinet file, indicating a potential problem with the installation package. Interestingly, when attempting to uninstall the program, it started installing instead, which was confusing. Proceeding with the tax return process, I answered all questions accurately. However, upon reaching the Federal E-filing submission stage, I was informed that I was not eligible for E-filing. Curiously, crucial lines on the Federal tax form, such as Total income on Line 9, showed zero values, despite being a retiree with only Social Security income. Lines 11, 16, 18, 21, 24, and 33 also displayed zeros. Additionally, when trying to print the incomplete return, Tubotax flagged it as incorrect. Could this be a case of a corrupted file causing these discrepancies?

I've tried multiple times to download Turbotax [redacted] onto my Apple iMac, but it has resulted in more than one installation on my computer. I'd like to begin fresh, but I'm concerned it will just add to the confusion. Is there a way to remove all the previous attempts and completely start over with Turbotax? I prefer to have the program downloaded on my computer rather than using the online option.

I have been using TurboTax Deluxe for many years and have been quite satisfied. Recently, I started receiving dividends from a trust fund, leading me to receive a federal Schedule K-1 that reports both dividends and foreign taxes paid by the fund. According to the IRS Instructions for Schedule K-1, if the foreign taxes paid are below a certain threshold, they can be claimed as a tax credit; if they exceed this threshold, they must be claimed as an income deduction. Although my foreign taxes fall below the threshold, TurboTax is not giving me the option to choose between a tax credit and an income deduction. Instead, it is automatically calculating for an income deduction and asking for details about the securities in the fund, which I do not have.

As a longstanding Turbotax customer, I currently reside in Sri Lanka due to my spouse's parent's illness, resulting in a change in my cell phone number to a local Sri Lankan one. Additionally, I have a new email address that I have yet to update in my Turbotax account. Consequently, I encountered difficulty signing in as I did not receive the phone code for verification.
Although my Account Recovery request ([redacted]) was recently approved, I am unable to download my [redacted] tax return, which was automatically purchased through my "MINT" account renewal with Turbotax. Although I can access my previous purchases, including the [redacted] tax return, it seems that my old email address ([redacted]) is not linked to my new one.
I urgently need access to my recent return to estimate any potential owed amount to the IRS and make a timely payment. Thank you.

I am looking for the state efile number for Kentucky. I have already filed my daughter's taxes electronically using the deluxe version for both Federal and State returns. In previous years, I needed an extra state efile confirmation number to file my Kentucky taxes. Can anyone provide assistance with this? I bought the download version on Amazon on January 22, [redacted].

I purchased TurboTax Home & Business [redacted] from Amazon and encountered issues with the activation code. After attempting to install the software, I received an error message stating the code failed to activate due to possible reasons like being stolen, expired, or a system virus. I have been unsuccessful in reaching customer support via the provided number as the call immediately disconnects or puts me on hold. I have also faced difficulties with previously bought discs on my powerful PC. The email from Amazon provides details of my purchase and the license number for the software. I am hoping to resolve this activation problem promptly to utilize the software as intended.

I need my prior year AGI. I currently don’t have access to the email I used last year, [redacted], or the phone number [redacted] due to my stolen phone. I can provide my ID card, social, last year’s filing status, and address. I'm struggling to finish filing with Intuit/TurboTax as I don’t have last year’s AGI. I’ve requested a transcript from the IRS, but it will take 5-10 days. Today is my last chance to file taxes, and I can't proceed without the AGI. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to miss out on this year’s taxes. Please assist me in this urgent matter. My name is Razhan Smalley.

I am seeking a full refund for my recent purchases and wish to be compensated for the damage to my phone that occurred due to frustration during a technical issue while submitting my tax return. The problem arose with code [redacted] repeatedly not accepting that I did not have a code to input. Despite several attempts to resolve this, the system would not progress, causing a delay in submitting my return on time. When I sought assistance from a customer service agent close to the deadline, they were unable to help and eventually got disconnected before I could voice my dissatisfaction. Feeling rightly upset after spending the day compiling documents to meet the deadline, only to face system issues that lead to lateness and financial penalties, my frustration led me to accidentally break my phone. I kindly request a full refund, reimbursement for the taxes, and repair costs for my phone, for which I will send an invoice.

Refund Inquiry
I am a regular customer in my twenties to thirties, and I am usually content with the service. This year, I expected a refund of $3,[redacted] but received only $[redacted]. The IRS mentioned an issue with form 1040SR, Recovery Rebate Credit. While I accept mistakes can happen, I rely on TurboTax precisely to prevent such errors. Despite passing the final check, this substantial discrepancy puzzles me.
Furthermore, I have faced difficulty accessing Intuit for a few years due to an outdated email address linked to my account. Although my previous returns automatically carry over, I cannot sign in successfully. I am unsure which refund amount will transfer to the next tax year, the incorrect $3,[redacted] or the actual $[redacted].
Thank you.

I am contesting the grounds for your denial of my refund request. In reference to Case #[redacted], the circumstances you mention are not plausible. I had to make a payment to review my draft return, which revealed mistakes (not on my part). It required my efforts, assistance from your service representative, and two of your tax specialists to create a correct fileable return. Despite following your recommendations, the IRS rejected it multiple times (3 or 4 times). Additionally, I had to upgrade my initial package to access help from your tax experts.
TurboTax let me down, and I am requesting a refund. Unless you reconsider your decision, I intend to escalate this matter with various government agencies and on social media to highlight your poor customer service policy and unreliable product. Please conduct a thorough review of the case, possibly referring to Case #[redacted].
Are you truly unwilling to acknowledge mistakes, lose a loyal customer, and not rectify this situation due to an impractical bureaucratic policy?

I completed my taxes using TurboTax and was advised to use Credit Karma for a fast tax refund. To my dismay, it has been a week since the refund was deposited into a Credit Karma Spend account, but I have no way to access it. I paid TurboTax $[redacted], which was deducted from my simple tax return. Now, I am unable to touch the funds. Despite attempting to link two banks to the account as promised, I haven't received a Credit Karma debit card even though it's 10 days overdue. I have heard many troubling stories about frozen accounts. It is critical that we gain access to the money promptly, as we are in financial distress.
