In [redacted], I used TurboTax Home and Business for my taxes. The Social Security Tax worksheet in the software miscalculated my and my wife's social security benefits income by not including Medicare Parts B and D as requested in Box 5 of the [redacted]-SSS form. Consequently, the IRS caught this error, and I now need to pay additional taxes for the discrepancy. I recently discovered that my [redacted] tax return has the same issue, and I will need to amend it accordingly. It is frustrating that TurboTax has this software glitch, and I hope it gets fixed promptly. - Gopal Saha

Recently, I received a letter from the IRS demanding payment of over $9,[redacted] for unreported income in tax year [redacted]. The income in question was from various [redacted] forms, primarily from IRA distributions and one from retirement income. I believe all the amounts should have been included in the total on line 16a, with the exception of the retirement income that should have been on line 15a. However, TurboTax did not provide a breakdown of these entries, making it challenging for me to show the IRS that the income was indeed reported on my [redacted] return. I am looking for a schedule or form from TurboTax that clearly outlines the sources of income contributing to the 15a and 16a totals. This information is vital for me to resolve this issue with the IRS effectively.

I have paid for your services and filed my return. Unfortunately, I couldn't e-file due to a lack of information, so I printed and mailed the return. It was returned to me with a notice stating I failed to sign it properly and requesting my father's death certificate. I am unsure about the earned income tax credit for my children and fear applying for it incorrectly. I want to avoid any issues with the IRS, focusing on claiming head of household status for myself and my children. I hope to receive my regular return promptly as my family urgently needs the funds to improve our lives. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I have a question about assisting in recovering an account for an individual who used TurboTax to file his taxes. The individual, a veteran named S. Spinard, is currently hospitalized and unable to communicate. His tax information is needed for enrollment in the VA. I am reaching out to see what is needed to access his returns to facilitate his transfer to the VA. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Today, I received a letter from the IRS stating I owe an additional $90,[redacted].53 in taxes compared to my [redacted] TurboTax return. The IRS claims a discrepancy in the use or calculation of Schedule D. However, I confirm that I used Schedule D, which included numbers directly imported from Vanguard. While the IRS agrees with my TurboTax calculations for Adjusted Gross Income and Taxable Income, they insist on the higher tax amount. The IRS's effective tax rate is 34.77%, while TurboTax's is 21.75%. Most of my reported income was long-term capital gains taxed at 20%. Unless Vanguard made an error, how could this difference exist? Could TurboTax have used a different tax rate for my income? I appreciate any insights or assistance with this matter.

I have used TurboTax Premier from [redacted] to [redacted] and recently encountered a discrepancy in my state PIT compared to the federal return for those years. The state of New Mexico has notified me regarding this issue, leading to additional taxes and penalties. The amounts transferred to the state PIT by TurboTax were significantly less than what was reported on Schedule A, causing the disparity. I am reaching out to understand why this discrepancy occurred and seek assistance to resolve it promptly. The state and federal returns for 2[redacted] do not show this difference, indicating a possible error in the years in question. I would appreciate any help or insights TurboTax can provide to address this matter with the state swiftly. Thank you for your support. Best, M. Cahenzli

Hello, my name is Tametric Navies. I filed my tax return in February but never received any communication afterwards. Recently, I received a letter from Santa Barbara Tax Products Group stating that a check for $1,[redacted].50 was sent to me on 3/06/18 but not cashed. I did not receive any funds or checks. I completed the form they sent, had it notarized, and returned it to inform them that I did not receive any payment. It has been a month since I requested a replacement check and have not been able to reach them by phone. I am concerned about the status of my return. I would appreciate a call or email from TurboTax or Santa Barbara Tax Products Group at [redacted] to resolve this issue promptly. Thank you.

I had an issue with TurboTax incorrectly calculating my exemptions on my tax return. Both my husband and I are in our seventies. Initially, TurboTax used $4,[redacted] x 2 on Line 42, which was incorrect. I manually changed it to $12,[redacted], but later realized this was wrong. As a result, I ended up paying $1,[redacted] in taxes, and the IRS notified me of an additional $[redacted].96 owed, pointing out my mistake. After verifying the correct exemption amount on the IRS website as $15,[redacted], I corrected my return. Line 79 now shows I owe $[redacted]. The IRS confirmed the exemption amount but explained why I owe more due to deductions for over 65-year-olds and itemized deductions on Schedule A. TurboTax incorrectly indicated I was due a $[redacted] refund, while the IRS states I owe additional taxes. I am using TurboTax Premier [redacted]. I need help understanding why there is a discrepancy in the calculations.

I'm having difficulty accessing my account on TurboTax due to repeated deactivations. Despite following the reactivation process via email, I am still unable to log in. This is urgent as the IRS claims they have not received my tax returns, although I filed them through TurboTax online. I need assistance to provide the IRS with proof by Thursday. Please reach out to help reactivate my account and discuss my tax filing situation over the phone.

I used TurboTax to file my [redacted] taxes in April [redacted], but my refund was delayed due to being randomly selected for additional security checks. Despite multiple attempts to track my return, I later found out that I needed to verify my identity by mail. However, the letters were not reaching me due to postal service issues in my area. During this time, TurboTax deducted their fees from my bank account before I received my refund, causing financial hardship and overdraft fees. The IRS confirmed that TurboTax should not have withdrawn their fee without authorization. They advised me to contact TurboTax to rectify the situation with my bank account. I urgently need to speak with customer service to resolve this matter promptly to avoid further complications with my account. Thank you for your immediate attention to this issue. Sincerely, A.R.

My spouse has been filing joint tax returns for six years, but I have never had access to or seen any tax forms to review or sign. Even though we separated households, he claimed our daughter without being our head of household all year. When I asked to see the total income, he refused. He claims he forgot his password for TurboTax and needs his work computer to access his work email (he is in the Air Force), but he also has his personal email linked. I am concerned about the legality of him signing documents on my behalf without my consent, as I have no knowledge of what is being reported. Is there a way for me to gain access to his TurboTax account to understand what information is being submitted for my taxes?

I bought TurboTax Home & Business at the Staples in Highland Park, IL. I chose Illinois as my free state and then bought Wisconsin as an additional state. Unfortunately, my computer crashed, and I had to reinstall TurboTax on a new device. I saved my son's draft return, but I need both states to open it again. I don't want to repurchase Wisconsin since I already paid for it once. Is there a way to redownload it without an additional payment?

In [redacted], I paid over $18,[redacted] for selling my home in Michigan and purchasing a condo in Florida. The house was rented out and occupied by my family for approximately 50 years. It was rented for 9 to 10 months in the last 3 years before the sale. A tax expert mentioned a law, possibly [redacted], related to this matter. I aim to include this information along with health expenses from [redacted] in my [redacted] tax return. To proceed, I need to access my [redacted] and [redacted] tax returns. Given the circumstances, I seek assistance to complete this task. My late husband used your services, and I regret not continuing. My son initially planned to help, but got busy. Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Mary A. Kidd. I prefer calls as my email access is challenging due to losing my phone.

I bought the Home & Business CD with state returns early this year. When I tried to use it yesterday to file our taxes for October, I found the file was empty. After three frustrating calls to TurboTax lasting over 3 hours, the CD couldn't be fixed. They offered to either send a file to my email or mail me a replacement CD. The agent confirmed they could overnight a new CD. I received an email inviting me to purchase the version I need, but I was told by another agent that I need to return it to the store. However, Costco doesn't have the [redacted] tax CDs. We must resolve this as our taxes are due by midnight on Monday, Oct 15th. Appreciate any assistance with this matter.

I require assistance regarding my account and tax refund for [redacted]. I continued to receive email updates post completing and submitting the form. I must mention my lack of familiarity with the US tax and banking system as a non-US resident. Your software came highly recommended and was simple to use. The banking details I provided were inaccurate (I used my card # instead of my account #), leading to me not receiving the refund. I was informed in [redacted] that since the card # is not linked to a bank account, the funds are likely available for collection as it is not associated with my social security number or name. Could you verify this information and provide guidance on the necessary steps to correct this issue? I look forward to your reply.

I need help accessing my daughter's [redacted] tax return that was filed with TurboTax. I used the $59.99 version of the software and received a confirmation email on 3/27/18 that the taxes were accepted. However, I am unable to log into the account to download the return as I have forgotten the password. Despite numerous unsuccessful attempts to reset the password, I have not been able to access the account. The tech support I spoke to mentioned that the address for resetting the password must match the return, but I am facing difficulties as my daughter has a foreign address that I can't enter. I tried using the billing address I used to create the account without success. It is important for me to access the account to download the return and send it to her.

In [redacted], I filed my taxes with TurboTax, but I never received my refund. I am Judy N. and I urgently need proof that I utilized TurboTax for filing. Please, I am a senior widow, living modestly with second-hand furniture. I manage my bills responsibly and really need TurboTax to provide confirmation of my tax submission. Kindly assist me in resolving this matter promptly.
