I purchased a 30" Troy Bilt riding mower on April 8th but encountered delivery issues. I ended up paying someone to pick it up. After using it briefly, it wouldn't start again. The store advised me to get it to a service person, which I couldn't do without paying someone. I returned it, and they offered a new one, which arrived unassembled. They requested me to assemble it, but after declining, they sent staff to do it. When I used it later, it made a lot of noise, which made me uncomfortable. I simply want a refund as I am quite frustrated with the situation.

We bought a Troy-Bilt Horse XP hydrostatic mower with a 20 horsepower Kohler engine. The issue we faced is with the steering gear - it's part of the steering shaft, and the gear isn't made of strong enough metal. After just one season, the steering failed. I replaced the entire shaft and gear, but it failed again the following season. We noticed Lowe's no longer carries your products, which is disappointing. We also purchased one of your garden tillers, and while the motor works fine, the frame and wheels seem poorly designed. The Troy-Bilt name used to represent quality products, particularly the tillers. My mother, who is 76 years old, trusted your brand based on past reputation, but we've been let down. We spent $1,[redacted] on the mower and over $[redacted] on the tiller, and now, three years later, both are unusable.

Two years ago, we purchased a push mower from True Value. It's our second season with this mower, but unfortunately, it keeps dying after minimal use. Living in Montana means a short grass-growing season, but the mower is struggling. As a mechanic, my partner can fix it, but the plastic carburetor keeps causing issues. It's disappointing that a trusted brand like Troy Bilt would use such flimsy parts. I miss my reliable [redacted] Walmart mower that lasted 17 years. This Troy Bilt model, purchased for $[redacted] at a discount, hasn't been reliable. I believe using steel components instead of plastic would improve the product quality greatly.

I am reaching out for some help with a recent issue I had with my Troy-Bilt pressure washer purchased from Lowes in [redacted]. I initially used it in [redacted], stored it for the winter, and when I tried to use it again in [redacted], it wouldn't start. Despite having a warranty, Lowes sent it for repairs due to a gummed-up carburetor. They eventually fixed it at no charge, advising me to use Pump Saver before storing it. Following their instructions, I took it out a year later in [redacted], only to find fuel leaking from the front, potentially near the carburetor/fuel pump. I checked the oil and added fuel as instructed, yet the issue persists. Even though my 3-year warranty expired just days before, I'm still encountering problems. If you could offer some advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a [redacted] Troy-Bilt 42-inch Pony riding mower that I bought brand new and have maintained properly since purchase. It is still running well, but I have encountered an ongoing issue with the deck belt getting stretched out and not functioning. Even when I purchase new belts specified for my model, they are too large right from the store. These new belts only last around two weeks before becoming too big. This problem has only started this year, and I have noticed other owners experiencing the same issue. As a person with multiple sclerosis, maintaining my yard is already a challenge, and this belt problem is adding unnecessary difficulty. I have spent a significant amount of money on this mower and numerous belts. Having to frequently remove and replace the deck belt is becoming a burdensome task. I am unable to afford a new mower due to my disability. I take pride in my yard and mower, and I am frustrated by this reoccurring problem. I seek a solution and would appreciate assistance in resolving this issue. It appears there may be an inconsistency with newly manufactured belts based on various threads I have come across online. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I bought a Troy Bilt power washer last year, only used it once before storing it in my heated garage for the winter. When I brought it out this year, I discovered a leak at the housing weld. Lowes wouldn't accept the return since they no longer carry the product. After taking it to a local authorized warranty dealer, I was informed that the housing repair isn't covered under the 2-year warranty. I'm seeking guidance on how to have this fixed under warranty. The Mower Outlet repair dealer denied the warranty claim. I am a loyal customer of Troy Bilt products and have been disappointed by this situation. I'm looking for assistance on resolving this issue promptly.

Subject: Issues with Border Maintenance Machine
I have been using the [redacted] for border maintenance around my yard in Mexico, making one pass of approximately [redacted] ft about three times a year. Despite taking good care of my yard machines, I have dealt with various issues such as a fouled carburetor, crinkled fuel lines, misaligned screws, missing gaskets, and a misaligned gas tank with a missing mounting gasket. After three years of battling with these problems, spending $[redacted], and experiencing unnecessary headaches, I am disappointed and frustrated.
I would like to return the machine and receive a replacement. I have documents and photos to support my claims but have been unable to upload them to this forum.
Disheartened,

I purchased a TB320 Troy-Bilt self-propelled push mower from Lowe's last May for $[redacted]. The mower was used for less than 5 hours and only had 2 tanks of gas run through it. However, one Saturday, it wouldn't start. When I took it back to Lowe's, they couldn't help as I didn't purchase the extended warranty and didn't know where to go for warranty work. This experience with Troy-Bilt has been disappointing, and I don't plan on buying their products again. I'm willing to return the mower if someone can come and pick it up to see that it's barely used. I've faced several challenges recently, so dealing with this faulty mower has been frustrating. While I don't expect any action now, an apology for the wasted time and money would be appreciated. Sincerely, Perry Judkins.

Hello, I'm Ray Scott. I have owned various Troy Bilt products and have always been satisfied. However, a couple of years ago, I purchased a TB2044XP weed eater with a brush cutting attachment (41BDL2PC766). After only 5 or 6 uses, the clutch assembly came apart and broke the flywheel. I had it repaired, but the same issue occurred immediately after starting it. I am disappointed and would like to resolve this, as I want to continue using Troy Bilt products. Thank you. Ray Scott

I am experiencing difficulties starting the motor of my unit, despite all other factors being in order. The repeated pulls required for a successful start make it challenging, regardless of the engine and water temperature. Even under perfect conditions, achieving a one-pull start seems impossible. I have owned this unit for 1 year and 1 month, retaining the receipt. Despite purchasing from LOWES and signing a credit card agreement with them, they have not taken responsibility. This issue seems to be common in the industry, which is disheartening. Being unable to find repair shops willing to address the problem sooner than 3 to 5 weeks and requiring upfront payment is frustrating. This situation leaves me at a significant disadvantage, impeding my planned home maintenance. As I am well within the 24-month warranty period, I request either a full refund of $[redacted].93 or a no-cost replacement. Your cooperation in resolving this matter promptly is appreciated. Thank you.
Sincerely,

Hello, my name is Don Minor. I am reaching out regarding the TB [redacted] EC model. I am interested in finding out if there are any kits available to extend the shaft for this model. The current length works well for individuals around 4 feet 5 inches tall, but for taller individuals like myself, it becomes quite uncomfortable to use. Despite having a large yard, having to bend over while using the trimmer is not practical. I appreciate the trimmer itself, but I might consider switching to a Honda or Stihl Weed Eater to avoid the discomfort. It seems like many manufacturers overlook the varying heights of users when designing products. It would greatly benefit companies like yours to have customers test products for feedback. By listening to customer experiences, you could potentially create a product that dominates the market. I am even considering starting a company focused on effective products rather than those that fall short in functionality.

I am having trouble starting my trimmer, which I purchased for $[redacted].00 at Lowe's in Cranston. One of your service providers advised me to throw it away, but I want it fixed or replaced. The customer service at Lowe's was unpleasant because they said I didn't purchase their personal insurance. I believe Home Depot, with whom you have partnered, would not appreciate Troy-Bilt not standing by their products.

I bought a Troy-Bilt Pony, model 13AN77BS023, from my local Home Depot on April 15, [redacted]. I am having jerking issues when shifting into forward or reverse, making it challenging to maneuver. Troy-Bilt directed me to Woody's Sales & Service for repairs, but they couldn't fix it, mentioning it's a common issue with Troy-Bilt models. I am disappointed and concerned for our safety while using it. I would like either an authorized repair shop to successfully resolve this issue or to be provided with a new replacement to avoid further inconveniences.

I bought a Troy Bilt gas trimmer on 6/11/[redacted] and have been dealing with issues with the bump knob since the purchase. Every time I try to remove the knob to string it, it's a complex process that involves disassembling the bump knob, using pliers to hold the shaft, unscrewing the bolt with a wrench, then rebuilding the bump knob just to repeat the same steps again. I visited Scott's Ace Hardware in Morgan City, Louisiana where I bought it, and after initially being told they lacked parts, I returned on 8/16/[redacted] to talk to the manager. He referred me to a mower repair shop, claiming they handled Troy Bilt warranty work, but the repair shop denied ever doing such work for Troy Bilt. Now, the lower part of the weed eater won't turn at all, and the manager insists it's due to wear and tear. I just want a replacement for the lower half of the weed eater. When I voiced my concerns to two other Ace employees, they didn't address the issue with the owner. This situation is harming Troy Bilt's reputation, and I need assistance in resolving this matter with the manager at Ace Hardware. Thank you.

I have been using my Troy Built gas powered weed eater since [redacted] without any issues until now. While weeding, the engine suddenly revved up while the weeding head slowed down, reminding me of a car engine revving while in park. Turning it off did not resolve the problem as the issue recurred. My weed eater is a Troy Built gas model from [redacted], with the model number TB22EC. I would appreciate any assistance with this situation. Thank you. - Emma M.

I purchased a Troybilt 875ex in May [redacted]. It was used only 2 or 3 times last year and stored in a heated controlled environment over the winter. Unfortunately, this year it won't start. Lowes, where I bought it, informed me that since they no longer sell this model, I need to get a return authorization from Troybilt. The unit is still under warranty. I would appreciate guidance on how to resolve this issue.

I own a 3-year-old Mustang 42 zero turn mower that has experienced ongoing issues this summer. Despite being serviced three times, it continues to run roughly, loses power, and stops running after 20 to 30 minutes. The TroyBilt shop replaced multiple parts and fresh gasoline, yet the problem persists. I have been a loyal TroyBilt customer for over 30 years and find this issue very uncommon. I can be contacted at [redacted] or [redacted] after 9 am central time. I am eager to hear any suggestions or recommendations you may have.

I bought a Troy Bilt snow blower back in [redacted]. With less than 10 hours of use, it unexpectedly broke down recently while clearing just two inches of snow. The model number 31AM56R3711 and serial number 11244B70221 suffered a bolt failure. After taking it for repairs, I was informed that fixing it would be too costly to justify. This has left me greatly disappointed, especially considering Troy Bilt's reputation. Lowe's, where I made the purchase, was unhelpful, suggesting I buy a new one instead. This is frustrating, as the snow blower should not have become unusable after such a short time. I even took good care of it, storing it indoors and cleaning it after every use. Contrasting this with my previous machine from Walmart that lasted over 20 years, this is very disappointing. I'm concerned about the financial burden of having to replace a $[redacted] machine every few years. I am hoping for some form of credit or assistance in this matter, as I still have the snow blower and can provide pictures to show it was not misused.

I saved up to invest in a riding mower for my small, 2-acre property, thinking Troy-Bilt would be a wise choice. Regrettably, it has been a disappointment. Despite being new, it had starter issues almost immediately. While covered under warranty, I had to incur costs for pickup and delivery to a repair facility [redacted] miles away. Now, only a few months later, there are substantial transmission problems. I initially hoped it was just the drive belts, but that was ruled out. As a small business owner, I understand the importance of standing behind one's products, especially during challenging times like the current pandemic. I am frustrated that I can't use the mower I saved so diligently for, and the thought of the high cost of replacing the transmission is disheartening. I am reaching out in the hope of finding a resolution to this issue.

I recently encountered issues with my new TB110 mower where the rear wheels were rubbing against the deck and the height lever was hitting the wheel. After fixing these problems, I tried to start the mower but it started backfiring and wouldn't turn on. I purchased a new plug, which reduced the backfiring but the mower still won't start. I noticed a strong smell of gas, and upon inspection, I found the carburetor and air filter soaked in gas with the carburetor leaking. I plan to drain the tank. I've had a Troy-Bilt tiller for 25 years without any major issues like this. I am considering replacing the carburetor myself. I would appreciate it if you could send me a replacement carburetor. Thank you.
