Hello, I am Anthony V. I recently received a refund of around $2,[redacted] instead of $3,[redacted], which was due to me. I filed jointly with my son, Jacob V. However, there seems to be an issue with Jacob's social security number. I assure you that the number provided is correct. I have not received the child tax credit or the inflation check this year, and as my son and I are currently homeless, these funds are essential for us. Kindly reach out to me either by phone at [redacted] or respond to me online. Thank you.

We requested an extension for our [redacted] return until October 15, [redacted]. While we paid $11,[redacted] in April, we knew we still owed $10-12K. As the extension deadline approached, we tried contacting the IRS by phone to set up a payment plan. After two long holds and a disconnection, we attempted to apply online but faced issues with an unknown amount from the previous year. More phone calls resulted in long waits and disconnections. By October 15, we paid the $11K and eventually managed to set up a plan on October 18, receiving a 90-day arrangement. Surprisingly, despite having a payment plan in place, we recently received a letter from the IRS assessing a 6% penalty for lateness, causing confusion and frustration.

Hello, I am writing regarding a situation that has caused me a great deal of stress. In early October, I received a letter requesting that I return a $[redacted] check that I allegedly received as financial aid in [redacted] but was not entitled to due to my income level. I never received this check, yet the IRS is demanding repayment. After contacting them at [redacted], I initiated a case to investigate this matter further and requested an installment plan until it is resolved. Subsequently, I was asked to fill out a form but was provided no address to return it to. After much effort, I managed to find the correct address online and mailed the form on October 11, [redacted], also faxing a copy to 1-[redacted] as instructed. However, it has been over six weeks, and I have yet to receive any updates or responses. It is crucial for me to obtain clarity on this issue and for the IRS to cease pressuring me unjustly. I have always been compliant with my tax obligations and expect the same in return. Thank you.

I and my daughter filed our [redacted] taxes and were supposed to get a refund as we don't owe anything. I spoke with an agent on Feb 3, [redacted], reference badge [redacted], Amber Quintanar, who confirmed our refunds would arrive in a few weeks and advised me to call back if not. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reach a live person since then. Our refunds have been delayed all year, and we're about to file our [redacted] taxes in the next two months.

I am currently disabled and have not had any income for years. I am eagerly awaiting a response from social security regarding my disability claim. I regularly check the IRS website using their app in the hopes of receiving news about my tax refund, a routine I have been following for months. After contacting them for information, I had to go through several steps to confirm my identity through mail, online, face scan, and phone call due to their busy office schedule. Typically, I receive a message stating that they are still processing my refund, but today the message stated that my refund amount was adjusted to $0.00 because my adjusted gross income exceeded $75,[redacted]. This is puzzling to me as even with additional state assistance, food stamps, and medical insurance, the total does not reach $75,[redacted]. I need assistance with this issue.

I am feeling overwhelmed with my divorce situation. It has been a long 4-year process. Recently, I found out that my ex-husband failed to file tax returns for the years [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. When I attempted to file my [redacted] taxes, it turned into a complicated ordeal. I initially thought we were cooperating to obtain our tax transcripts and move forward, but he manipulated things by changing our address to his parents' home without my knowledge. This led to me not receiving any important notifications. I am now in need of determining what was filed, updating my address, making amendments to past returns, and understanding the process to press charges to the fullest extent due to my belief that I did not receive the stimulus payments I was entitled to.

I've been attempting to reach the IRS regarding my [redacted] and [redacted] tax returns, as well as my economic impact payments that I have not received. I filed electronically through HR Block, and despite speaking with them yesterday, they claimed I opted for a paper check rather than direct deposit to my Emerald card, which is not the case. I am seeking assistance in locating my refund.

I have yet to receive my tax return. In early October, I had to call and verify my identity. At that time, they informed me it would take an additional 60 days to receive my tax return via direct deposit. I am frustrated after already waiting nearly 8 months. My financial situation has been severely impacted, causing me to miss out on various opportunities. I urgently need my refund without further delay.

I recently received a letter from the IRS informing me that military severance pay is no longer taxable. When I was separated from the military, they taxed my severance pay. I am entitled to a refund of $[redacted]. I have sent in the required form but have been unable to reach an IRS representative to confirm its receipt. I mailed the form in August and have not received any updates since then.

I'm seeking clarification on how to complete line 7 of IRS Form SS4 for a revocable living trust after the death of all grantors. This transition leads the trust to become irrevocable, requiring the establishment of a tax identification number. Should I follow the IRS’s definition of the Responsible Party, which would be me as the trustee, or adhere to the instructions on Form SS4 mentioning the owner, grantor, or trustor? I have applied for an EIN online with myself listed as the responsible party, but I would like to rectify any errors if the information provided was incorrect.

I would like the IRS to contact me for clarification. I need to report my former landlord who took all my belongings. Despite taking legal action against Javier Casanova of [redacted] County St. in New Bedford, MA [redacted], he falsely claimed in court that I never paid rent for the 1.5 years I resided there. He has reportedly collected over $[redacted],[redacted] in cash rent over nine years without declaring it as income to the IRS. Javier only accepts cash payments, making it difficult to trace. I feel compelled to report him for his dishonest practices, especially since he misrepresented himself as a Christian minister. I have also heard about possible compensation for reporting such tax fraud. Thank you, Elizabeth 😊

I would like the IRS to contact me to explain a situation regarding my ex-landlord, Javier Casanova, of [redacted] County St. New Bedford, MA [redacted]. After taking him to court for claiming I never paid rent during the 1.5 years I resided there, I found out he only accepted cash payments, estimated to total over $[redacted],[redacted] in the last 9 years. This income appears unreported to the IRS. I believe he should be reported for his actions. Despite portraying himself as a Christian, he deceitfully claimed to be a church minister in court. I also wish to inquire about any potential whistle-blower incentives applicable to me if the IRS takes action. Thank you, Elizabeth 😊

A few years ago, the tax professional I hired mentioned that someone had attempted to steal my identity, which has prevented me from filing my taxes. I never received the pin number or security code needed for filing, making it impossible to complete the process. Consequently, I have been unable to claim any stimulus money owed to me. Unfortunately, contacting the IRS to resolve this matter has been extremely challenging due to long wait times and difficulty in reaching a representative.

I have two questions about tax deductions related to our rental properties. Firstly, since my wife is a real estate professional and I assist her, we are unable to itemize medical insurance premiums. We are both on Medi-care Parts A and B with a supplement and have additional medical expenses not covered under social security Medi-care such as dental and prescriptions. Can these expenses, along with any other medical expenses, be considered as a Schedule C expense against our rental income? Secondly, we rent out our condo through an agency and this year our expenses exceed the rental income. We have permanently moved to Maine in [redacted] and now use the property for personal use for approximately 30-45 days a year. Can we deduct expenses up to the amount of income, and what types of expenses are eligible for deduction? Considering this condo is our second residence, are we allowed to claim depreciation as one of the deductions?

I am having trouble receiving my [redacted] tax refund check. When I filed my taxes using TurboTax in February [redacted], I mistakenly entered the wrong routing number. As a result, the system detected the error and switched to sending the refund by mail. Regrettably, I did not receive the check at my original address before moving to a new house. Despite updating my address with the post office after relocating in September [redacted], I have not yet received my refund check.

I submitted an amended tax return through TaxSlayer in March [redacted]. Initially, I was approved for $4,[redacted]. However, I received a letter stating my correction was adjusted to $1,[redacted], which doesn't make sense. The reason for amending was to include the child tax credit for my son, which wasn't done correctly in my original return. After explaining and getting approval, I received a check for $1,[redacted] instead of the expected $1,[redacted]. I also received a letter from the IRS promising the remaining $1,[redacted] would be sent within a few weeks, which I haven't received yet. I'm confused about the discrepancy and urgently need assistance as I've been trying to resolve this for months without success. I desperately need this sorted out as I'm facing financial difficulties and really relied on this money by now.

As a retired individual filing jointly with your wife, you recently received a [redacted] NEC form from a land development company disclosing a payment of $32,[redacted] for relinquishing your road easement rights. Your decision to settle for compensation after incurring around $8,[redacted] in attorney fees raises questions about reporting this to the IRS. You are uncertain whether to disclose payments to your attorney's firm and declare the compensation income on Schedule C. Furthermore, you are questioning the tax implications of the compensation received and if deductions like mileage to visit your attorney, along with recording, notary, and copy fees, could be applicable. Moreover, you seek clarity on the appropriateness of the [redacted] NEC form issued by the development company.

I completed all the required information on ID.ME, only to discover that a return verification form needs to be sent to me by mail for processing my tax return. I was under the impression that taxes could be filed electronically without requiring any mail correspondence. Please confirm that the mailing address on file is indeed: [redacted] Crievewood Dr. Memphis, TN [redacted] and ensure that my former address ( 9071J N. 95th St. Milwaukee, WI [redacted]) is not being used. Just to clarify, my name is Sherman Williams Jr.

I mailed my [redacted] tax return in April [redacted], filing jointly after my wife passed away. The IRS requested her death certificate, which I sent promptly. It's been over 10 weeks since I sent it, still no response. I attempted to contact the IRS via their website and phone but only received automated responses. I'm looking for a direct number to speak with an IRS representative.

I filed my [redacted] taxes in February and was selected for identity verification. Due to health issues, I was unaware of this until I contacted them in December [redacted]. I provided my current address for them to send the verification paper, but as of February [redacted], I have not received it. I've been waiting for a year for my refund. Thank you for any assistance. - Timothy H.
