I have been waiting for my tax refund for almost a year now. I was requested to send documents via fax, which I did both through the mail and on two separate occasions. However, my information has not been updated, and there has been no progress on my refund. I urgently need someone to contact me today as I require my refund promptly. The delay is frustrating, especially considering that verifying my income should be straightforward as I only had one job in [redacted]. I do not understand the hold-up and need this resolved as soon as possible.

My CPA has advised me that adding Schedule D to your returns is necessary as that was the missing element in your original filing. Schedule D, along with Form [redacted], will detail all your stock sales, enabling them to adjust your basis. Please inform them that I have previously submitted a response and request to suspend collection activities. Kindly extend my response deadline and cease further correspondence. I trust this clarifies the situation.

My CPA indicated that adding Schedule D to your returns is necessary to address the issue with the original filing. By including Schedule D (with form ****), your stock sales will be reported, enabling the update of your basis. I have also informed them that I previously submitted a response and requested collection efforts be paused. This should allow for an extension of the response time and cessation of correspondence. Hope this clarifies the situation.

My CPA has advised that I include Schedule D to address the issue with the original returns: it was missing Schedule D. Adding Schedule D (Form ****) will report all stock sales and update the basis. Also, inform them that I previously responded and ask to pause collection efforts. This will extend my response time and stop the letter notifications. I hope this clarifies the situation.

**Response Dispute with IRS** On October 25, [redacted], I received a notice from the IRS indicating I owe $1,[redacted].44 for my [redacted] taxes instead of receiving an $[redacted] refund. The notification did not specify the changes made in four areas. Despite multiple attempts, contacting the IRS via phone was unfruitful as I was unable to speak to a representative after navigating through lengthy menus. Subsequently, on November 11, [redacted], I responded to the IRS notice, providing explanations for each point and enclosed copies of my tax returns. Despite this, the IRS sent a terse letter on December 10, [redacted], demanding payment without addressing my responses or clarifying the changes made. My efforts to reach the IRS via phone, including various numbers and the Taxpayer Advocate Service, proved futile due to high call volumes. Even scheduling an appointment at the Everett Office did not yield assistance. Ignoring the situation risks accumulating penalties and interest.

I have not received my federal tax return for the last three years. Every year, the government takes my state return to offset a previous audit, but when checking "where's my refund," it doesn't seem to recognize my existence. Since the state keeps my state return, I believe I should be receiving a federal return. I visited all the addresses I have lived at since birth, but none of them seem to be the issue.

I recently received a letter addressed to my daughter regarding a [redacted] form for the tax year [redacted]. Initially, I mistakenly filed her as single, when in fact she is my dependent, and I am her mother. Consequently, there seems to be a credit discrepancy resulting from this error. I have since corrected the tax return, correctly claiming her as my dependent. However, I am still receiving mail in her name regarding the credit on her account. I thought this issue was resolved when I updated her status in the tax return.

I completed my [redacted] taxes on March 19, [redacted]. The tax preparer assured me that I would receive both my stimulus benefits and tax refund. Despite having offsets for child support and the Department of Education, only $[redacted] was withheld for child support. When I contacted the Department of Education, they mentioned that I hadn't had an offset since [redacted]. I have not received any information regarding the stimulus checks or the rest of my [redacted] refund.

I submitted my taxes on March 19, [redacted]. Recently, I got a letter from the Department of Treasury informing me about an offset for child support and student loan. However, I never received my stimulus refund or the rest of my income tax. After contacting the Department of Education, they confirmed that I have not had an offset since [redacted]. How can I proceed to obtain my stimulus payments and the remaining tax refund?

I submitted a check for $46.61 to cover our tax bill due on the 13th, postmarked on the 11th. It appears we still owe an additional 14 cents, which is unclear to us. We aimed to fulfill our obligation correctly and are unsure why this amount is outstanding. Could you assist us by waiving the 14 cents owed? I am James D. N. and my wife is Tamara Jane N. My SSN is [redacted]. Your prompt attention would be appreciated. I have been on hold for 1 hour and 41 minutes and am eager for a resolution. Thank you.

The current communication system employed by the IRS is severely lacking in structure and user-friendly features needed for efficient customer service in this day and age. It can be confusing, frustrating, and overall disorganized, making it a less than desirable experience for users. There is a clear need for improvement to match the standards expected in the 21st century.

As German citizens, my wife and I have a son born in [redacted] in San Diego during our stay at the University of California on J1 visas. He has visited the US only once in [redacted]. Despite filing his US tax declaration, he forgot to sign form [redacted] in [redacted], leading to a CP504 balance due reminder. He earns below the foreign earned income allowance. We faxed the signed form again and sent it by mail, but there has been no response from the IRS. Calling the IRS has been challenging due to long wait times and costs. Any advice on next steps?

I used TurboTax to file my taxes online. On March 23, [redacted], I received an email confirming the acceptance of my return and advising me to call if my refund check did not arrive within three weeks. Despite multiple calls and a meeting at the Cincinnati office on December 20, [redacted], according to the IRS app, my refund has been used to cover a past due debt like child support or state taxes. I did my taxes specifically to claim the two Covid stimulus checks, which I never received. I believed these payments were exempt from such deductions. Since [redacted], I have had no income and have been pursuing SSI since [redacted], with a hearing scheduled for February 7, [redacted]. I urgently need this relief and have struggled to find someone who cares. I am seeking a compassionate human representative to discuss the refund offset issue.

I e-filed my tax returns in May [redacted]. Unfortunately, my bank did not receive the refund deposit. After checking with my bank, it seems the IRS mistakenly sent my refund to another individual's account in Provo, Utah. The IRS representative I spoke with on 10/14/[redacted] assured me that a paper check will be sent to my home address within 90 days, possibly sooner. Despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to reach anyone at the IRS, even though I have the representative's name, extension number, and a contact sheet. I have tried calling at various times throughout the day without success. Can someone advise me on the best way to contact the IRS to follow up on this issue? - M. B. Heath

We are a church with a K-8th-grade school and 31 employees. A donor generously provided a sum of money for our employees as a [redacted] bonus based on their [redacted] earnings. The church's constitution bylaws classify these funds as restricted, obliging us to honor the donor's intentions. Although the church council approved the bonus distribution in [redacted], the checks were not processed by our payroll provider until Jan. 5, [redacted]. Our employees are keen to have the bonus amounts reflected in their [redacted] W2 forms for tax purposes. We have retiring religious workers who will be impacted by the delayed issuance both in their tax rates and retirement calculations. We aim to utilize provisions in the IRS Rules of Constructive Receipt to demonstrate that this income pertains to [redacted]. The employees prefer the bonuses to be included in their [redacted] W2 forms despite the late check dates. As the church missed the deadline for timely wage payment, we are exploring options to address this situation appropriately and adhere to IRS regulations.

I just received my IRS notice on January 14, [redacted], stating that my house taxes were due on January 10, [redacted]. However, I only received the letter from the IRS on January 14, [redacted]. I recently received a letter from the IRS regarding unpaid taxes and unfiled returns for the past two years. I have reached out to several tax assistance services, but their fees are quite high, so I plan to handle this on my own. I have requested my transcripts from the IRS to review my records. I am uncertain whether to pursue an Uncollectible status or set up a payment plan to prevent a levy. My goal is to resolve this matter promptly. Due to health concerns over the last two years, I couldn't address this sooner. I will contact the IRS to request time for filing the back taxes and discuss payment options once I have the transcripts. Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I recently received a letter from the IRS stating their intent to seize assets due to unpaid taxes and unfiled tax returns for the past two years. I have requested transcripts for those years to be sent to me. Many tax assistance services are expensive, so I prefer to handle this myself. I am unsure whether it's best to declare Uncollectible status or request a payment plan. Contacting the IRS to negotiate a payment arrangement after I receive the transcripts is my plan. I am keen to resolve this issue since I have been dealing with medical problems. I need the IRS to allow time for me to get the transcripts, file the past tax returns, and arrange a payment plan to halt the asset seizure.

I am seeking an update on the payment trace for my second stimulus payment that I have not received. After amending my [redacted] tax return to claim the rebate credit for the missing payment, I have been waiting for approximately 40 weeks. Around 9 weeks ago, an IRS representative informed me that I needed to initiate a payment trace. The representative initiated the trace while on the phone, indicating it should take around 6 weeks, possibly slightly longer due to pandemic-related delays. However, it has now been nearly 3 to 4 weeks past the expected timeframe with no communication from the IRS regarding the status of the trace or my amended return/stimulus funds, which I urgently require.
