On April 16, [redacted], I sent my amended 1040X form to the Austin, Texas address. I've tried checking the status online and by phone, but it says my amended return info is currently unavailable. It typically takes up to 3 weeks for it to show and up to 16 weeks for processing after receipt. I'm aware of the COVID-19 situation affecting IRS operations. Is there a way to confirm if my 1040X was received in Austin? This refund is crucial for my family now. Please let me know if more details are needed.

I am Marilyn Webber and I received a CP14 notice for tax year [redacted]. I seem to already have an existing installment plan in place, but I am unable to submit a request for an installment plan on irs.gov/OPA. The notice indicates I owe $[redacted].19 by 09/14/[redacted]. Due to job loss and pending funds, I am undergoing financial hardship and want to settle the remaining balance through installment payments. I recently relocated from North Carolina to South Carolina and cannot access my old credentials. I am aware that more interest will accrue, and I am committed to making timely payments. Please assist me in finding my previous installment plan and updating it. You can contact me on my new phone at [redacted].

I have lived on the East Coast for over 27 years, attending school and working. My parents are Steve and Roweena Freeman. I have been away for three years handling office work and dealing with an imposter who falsely reported me to my bank, BB&T Banking, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I am seeking to press charges for fraudulent tax preparation and transaction misconduct against them. The addresses I would like to charge them at are [redacted] Kilaha Street, [redacted] Fillmore Ave., Alexandria, VA [redacted], and PO Box [redacted]. They are involved in perjury and providing unauthorized power of attorney services without any legitimate benefits.

Yesterday, I received a notice about an "Amount Due" for a tax error in [redacted]. I had previously received a similar notice in December [redacted] and opted for the installment payment plan through my bank. I provided all the necessary information for the IRS to initiate monthly payments to clear the debt. Today, I tried calling the IRS twice to inquire about the [redacted] response status but faced high call volumes and was asked to call back later. Despite my efforts, I received the same message when I tried calling again later. Additionally, I observed that the amount due had increased. I believe I shouldn't be liable for extra penalties since I had responded to and complied with the initial notice. Can anyone assist me with this issue?

I haven't received my stimulus check payment because I mistakenly indicated on my [redacted] Tax return that someone claims me as a dependent when that is not true. I filed two [redacted]-X amended forms on April 15th this year, but the IRS has not processed them yet, even though I know they received both forms. I am struggling to speak to an IRS representative to address this issue.

I encountered dental issues in the USA that required treatment in Mexico due to affordability. Needing help with my [redacted] taxes, I am unable to see a tax accountant due to lockdown restrictions until October 19th. Recently, I have been facing health problems related to my heart, requiring investigation and management. Since [redacted], I have been without permanent housing after financial losses. Caring for my ill mother, I rented out her house via Airbnb using my social security number for income. A lien on my social security and changes in income averaging have complicated my situation. I am unsure how to handle the tax forms given my prolonged stay in Mexico and declining health but can provide medical documentation. Additionally, my sister mistakenly paid a penalty twice on my behalf. Seeking guidance on extensions and possible reimbursements for the double payment to aid those caring for aging parents.

Hello! I'm currently sorting out my tax situation for [redacted]. Due to some chaos at home, I lacked certain records and filed an extension in a timely manner (submitted on July 15, [redacted]). I paid $[redacted] to ensure I prepaid the estimated tax due. Last year, I paid $80. I am uncertain if my extension is still valid. I've gathered all records now except for the [redacted] for two author's royalty checks from Atlantis Rising LLC, a firm possibly no longer in operation. I've tried contacting them to no avail. I attempted using Social Security as a workaround to obtain the missing information, but encountered issues with their system. I believe the amount in question does not exceed $[redacted]. If unable to locate the [redacted], my last resort will be to extract the information manually from my credit union deposit records to settle this and avoid penalties and interest. Your assistance in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! John K.

I received an IP PIN code "[redacted]" for my [redacted] Tax Year but it's not working. I need the new number as the old one might have expired. If I can't get a new number, I'll have my CPA file with paper. I got this email:
On Thursday, October 1, [redacted], 4:27 PM, TaxAct informed me that my Federal electronic return was rejected by the IRS due to an IP PIN mismatch. The rejection code is Rule Number: IND-[redacted]-01. To fix this, I need to use the latest IP PIN I received. If I don't have it, I should contact the IRS. The Submission ID for the return is [redacted][redacted]. I can still file electronically if I correct this promptly. If I can't fix it, I'll need to file a Federal paper return. It's important to correct this soon to meet the October 15th deadline.

I mailed my [redacted] tax return back in February, expecting a large refund. However, I have yet to receive it, nor any stimulus money. I am also waiting on unemployment benefits, making it difficult to cover living expenses. I have not heard from the IRS and the website advises against calling about the stimulus. I came across this platform hoping for a quick response and resolution. Despite the challenging circumstances due to the pandemic, I am in a state of desperation. I have faced issues trying to upload my returns electronically in the past, leading me to resort to regular mail. Your prompt assistance in sorting this out is greatly appreciated, as my resources are running low for essentials like food and utilities. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

We filed our initial tax return on March 10, [redacted]. After a long wait, we recently got a notification from the IRS at the end of July stating that we had to reconcile Form [redacted] for healthcare and send it again.
We submitted the revised tax return on July 29, [redacted], and were advised it would take 6-8 weeks to process.
It has now been more than 10 weeks since we resubmitted the tax return. The "Where's My Refund" tool has not been updated, and we have been unable to reach anyone at the IRS over the phone due to the automated messages.
This situation is unacceptable. The lack of progress while facing financial difficulties, especially during COVID, is troubling. We expect the same level of accountability from the IRS as they would demand from us. We are eagerly awaiting our refund with appropriate interest.

I need assistance with the IRS regarding tax years [redacted] & [redacted]. I didn't file those years due to low income. I'm now working on filing for 2[redacted], but NY State requires filings for all years. I must determine my Federal AGI for [redacted] & [redacted] to see if I need to file them. Hello. I am seeking assistance regarding my mother, Jacqueline M Kozloff's, [redacted] Income Tax refund. I am concerned about the significant delay in receiving her refund. For security reasons, I am refraining from sharing her sensitive information in this message.
I have been regularly checking the IRS Website for the status of the refund, which has remained unchanged for weeks, stating that the return is in process. The 2[redacted]-SR Income Tax Return was sent via the US Postal Service on June 15, [redacted], from Flint, MI. Today, on 10/14/[redacted], it has been [redacted] days since it was sent. I simply seek an approximate timeline for when my mother's refund will be deposited into her checking account.
Any guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am facing an unusual situation. For over 40 years, I have relied on the same CPA, who is located in Massachusetts while I am in Florida, to handle my taxes. I sent all my W2s and documents to my CPA in February [redacted] for tax preparation. In July, she informed me about applying for an extension due to personal reasons. Recently, when I called her number, I heard a recording stating her unavailability to focus on her ill mother and promised a return call to complete my taxes. With the deadline approaching and no contact from her, I now realize I didn't retain copies of the paperwork I sent. I am unsure about the next steps to resolve this issue as her phone continues to direct to the message about her personal situation. Any guidance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Ray

While incarcerated, I attempted to file for the stimulus money as a non-filer after the IRS recommended it for individuals who didn't file taxes in [redacted]. However, upon submitting the application, I received an error message from the IRS that has left me confused. I am currently married but have been separated from my spouse for 5 years and am in the process of getting a divorce. The error message mentions a rejection due to Error Code F1040-[redacted] or F1040SSPR-[redacted], indicating that the primary taxpayer is already listed as Spouse on a previously filed return with the filing status of Married Filing Separately. It states that if one spouse has filed as Married Filing Separately, the other spouse cannot use Single, Married Filing Jointly, or Qualifying Widower as their filing status. The message advises reviewing and correcting the SSN and Filing Status entries in the Basic info section and resubmitting the return.

Hello Pearl, I am Mathis Chatfield. I encountered a problem I need help resolving. A few years back, I had to file for Chapter 7 due to financial difficulties stemming from a disability since [redacted]. During that time, I was expecting a settlement from an accident, and the court required me to settle my debts before receiving it. Recently, my mortgage company, USAA, offered me a chance to refinance at a lower rate. However, the process halted when they discovered an IRS lien against me, despite my Chapter 7. After investigating, it seems the IRS did not clear my records properly, causing this issue. My previous attorney should have handled this, but they refused to assist after closing my case. I'm reaching out for help to remove the lien so I can proceed with my loan application. Please contact me at [redacted] if needed. Thank you.

The recent agreement with Sudan is opening up business opportunities, and I am particularly interested in mining Nile River jade. With a colleague based in Sudan, we plan to mine and sell Nile River jade on the global market. I have experience in this field, having established Ohio Jade Factory LLC and the Glacial Jadeite company. Through training from the Smithsonian, I've gained knowledge about jadeite and nephrite as rock types that possess various metals and a new energy source. With the potential opportunity within the IRS and a lucrative contract on the table, which involves the Department of Defense and NASA, I'm considering whether to create a new company or pursue this venture as a personal business endeavor.

My dermatologist prescribed Mediplast Pads 40%, and I have been getting them at a pharmacy, assuming it was prescribed medication. No sales tax was charged. When I switched to a different pharmacy, they charged sales tax. When I questioned it, they said that Mediplast Pads 40% is an over-the-counter (OTC) product. IRS Publication [redacted] states, "You can include in medical expenses amounts you pay for prescribed medications and drugs. A prescribed drug is one that requires a prescription by a healthcare provider for its use by an individual. You can also include amounts you pay for insulin. Except for insulin, you can't include in medical expenses amounts you pay for a drug that isn't prescribed." This product was prescribed and has an RX number, and its National Drug Code (NDC) number is 53[redacted]-59. My question is, can I consider this as a medical expense on my [redacted] Schedule A?
