My husband purchased three Steam card codes from an individual on Facebook. After realizing there is an account we did not recognize linked to the cards, we suspect a scam. The total amount paid was $[redacted], with each card costing $[redacted]. We urgently request a call to facilitate the refund process. Given my husband's visual impairment, phone communication is essential. Thank you, Glenda and Ray Watson.

I have been experiencing an ongoing issue that I've been unable to resolve with Steam support. On September 30, [redacted], at 7:36 pm, I received a notification from Steam support stating that they had undone one or more of my actions due to a chargeback issue. This situation has resulted in the loss of valuable and sentimental items that were not associated with the chargeback. I am seeking assistance in recovering these items and I am willing to pay the balance owed as a result of the chargeback. I want to emphasize that the chargebacks were unintentional and not meant to harm Steam in any way. I had submitted a ticket regarding the chargeback on the same day, but unfortunately, I am unable to access the ticket number as it is now over 60 days old.

I am experiencing an issue with my Steam account. I recently changed my password, but when I tried to use the new one, the system keeps prompting me with an error message stating that my username or password is incorrect. As a result, I am unable to access my library or play my American Truck Simulator purchased through Amazon. I believe the solution would involve completely removing all Steam-related files from my computer. It would also be helpful for Steam to provide better assistance with login problems and reconsider the requirement of a $5.00 store purchase to unlock additional services.

I tried to purchase a bundle of games for my friend for Christmas, but every time I attempt, the system shows an error. The message suggests waiting a few minutes before trying again. I waited a full 24 hours, but the issue persists. I searched for a solution on the website to no avail. Additionally, contacting support via phone was unsuccessful. If anyone has insight on fixing this problem, please share.

Good morning, my Steam account was stolen, and I couldn't change the password promptly because the thief blocked my computer. I had to reinstall Windows 10 completely. My account was set up with a CD/DVD purchased back in [redacted], and I still have the CD/DVD. I want to recover my account. I have contacted Steam support, provided them with all the necessary information, but haven't received any response yet. I found out who stole my account through another account, which was reported to Steam as stolen. I've been waiting for news from Steam for over a week. I'm sharing the purchase CD/DVD code: ZJD2E-BCVGA-WDFQR-ZWDZR-P22GN. Thank you in advance for your help.

My account seems to have been compromised. I received a message on Steam from someone claiming they reported me for fraud by mistake. Unable to access my account, I sought help on Discord from someone purporting to be Steam support named Christen. He demanded $50 for account recovery, which raised my suspicions. When I questioned him, he became rude and threatened to delete my account permanently. Feeling uncertain, I mentioned contacting Steam directly, to which he abruptly terminated our conversation. I am distressed as I have approximately $[redacted] invested in my Steam account. I have kept a record of the interaction for reference. Kindly assist me in resolving this issue. - Joshua

I need assistance recovering my Steam account that was recently hacked. A person on Discord reached out, claiming to have reported my account and seemed genuine. They instructed me to add a "Steam admin" on Discord, provided their tag, and I complied. The person alleged my account had been reported multiple times, which made me skeptical but I continued to cooperate to protect my account. Eventually, they asked me to make my inventory public and screenshot my purchases, which I did. Then, they requested the Steam support code, which regrettably I shared as well. Can someone help me regain access to my account? The last game I bought on the account was Terraria in August [redacted] for a friend, and the latest one I activated with a Steam CD key was Baba Is You.

I contacted EVE Online support regarding two accidental purchases and was informed that Steam is responsible for processing refunds for purchases made through their platform. The support chat included the following dialogue:
GM Dahui:
Hello, this is GM Dahui from EVE Player Experience. Your ticket has been created to address the refund issue. It will be forwarded to the relevant department for assistance. Expect a response shortly.
Avatar STEAM::[redacted]5:
I accidentally made two purchases, with reference numbers [redacted]3 and [redacted]3. Can I request a refund for these?
GM Glitch:
I apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, EVE Online cannot process refunds for STEAM Wallet payments as the billing is managed by STEAM. Kindly contact STEAM Customer Support to assist with your refund request.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Best regards,
GM Glitch

Hello,
I have been dealing with this issue for several months now. I have opened numerous tickets regarding the theft of my knife. I understand where you are coming from, but it is important to respect loyal customers like myself who have not violated any rules. I invested a significant amount of money on Steam to acquire that knife. The reason I wanted to sell it was to help my family, especially my sister who was battling a serious illness. Unfortunately, the person who bought it ended up stealing it from me.
I have reached out multiple times requesting that my knife be returned, but I keep getting the same response that stolen items are not returned. The person who took it even admitted to the theft and promised to contact Steam support to return it, but there has been no progress.
I am pleading for the return of my knife as it holds sentimental value related to my sister’s battle with cancer. Please, for the sake of my sister and our family, help resolve this issue. I will continue to open tickets until the matter is resolved. Thank you.

I have been trying to address this issue for several months concerning the stolen knife. I have opened multiple tickets regarding this matter. Despite the explanations from your end, I feel the need to express my concerns. I put a significant amount of money into acquiring that knife. When I decided to sell it to assist my sick sister, the buyer's ulterior motives were revealed. The knife holds sentimental value for me as it represents my sister's battle with cancer. Despite the thief's attempts at urging Steam support to return the item, I have not received any resolution. I implore you to understand the emotional significance of this situation and kindly return the knife. It is crucial to me and my family. I will continue raising tickets until this matter is resolved. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hello, I am Neil H. from Riverside, NJ. I recently discovered unauthorized changes to my Steam account, including a new email address [redacted] that does not belong to me. My correct email is [redacted] While playing a game with my brother, I lost control of my account (Nah10/ nah10) which I've had for years. This has affected my access to the RPG Maker VX ACE program and prevented me from purchasing the 98 games on my wishlist. I also intended to buy Lego games for my nieces and nephews who enjoy watching me play. I am seeking assistance in recovering my hijacked account.

I recently bought two products that are not running properly on my iMac. The first one is Trailblazers, and the second one is Myst Exile. I will address them individually.
Firstly, I bought Trailblazers on Safari for my Mac, not realizing it only runs on Windows. When I tried to run it on Windows 10 via Parallels, it wouldn't load, and I couldn't log in despite attempting to reset the password. The game would not launch on Windows 10.
Secondly, I purchased Exile yesterday, thinking it was updated for a 64-bit system. Unfortunately, it won't save progress, and I have to force quit using the power button. I tried granting full disk access in Preferences as suggested by some users, but Exile wasn't listed. Giving Steam permission helped me exit the game, but any progress was lost when attempting to save and load.
I enjoyed playing Obduction without issues. If there's no simple solution, I would appreciate a refund for these two games. I'm willing to remove them if needed.
Thank you for your assistance.

I made a mistake by logging in with Steam Guard after clicking a link in a window that popped up in the Steam client. Despite seeing red flags, I realized my error too late. The intruders obtained the second code, leading to me being logged out, and they changed the account's email address and password. I had trouble locating the support ticket amidst a cycle of unhelpful password and email resets. I believe I suspended the account through the confirmation email I received after the email change. Although I completed the ticket with the requested information to prove my ownership, I am still waiting for a response from Steam. It has been more than half a day, and the account has been renamed, which makes me concerned that someone might have access to it now since it is presumably no longer suspended.

Hello, my name is Jonathan D. and I am the rightful owner of the account Cozy_Klonoa, formerly known as Z3R0_The_Hunter. My brother and I were scammed out of almost $[redacted]. Someone named Jill from Bellevue, Washington, hacked my account, took my items, and locked me out. They pretended to be a Valve employee. I'm seeking assistance to recover my funds, regain access to my account, and retrieve the stolen items. I've alerted the bank, and they are working on recovering the funds. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I also request that Jill's account be flagged or banned for the theft. I have screenshots of our conversations from the past two days for proof if needed. Thank you.

I downloaded Archeage: Unleashed from Steam and encountered numerous issues trying to run it. After spending 8 hours troubleshooting, the game would load slowly, play the initial video briefly, then crash back to my desktop after 5 seconds. Despite only logging "4 hours" of attempted gameplay, Steam refuses to refund me. This is frustrating because both of my friends who downloaded the game on the same day experienced the same problems. It's disappointing that Steam doesn't acknowledge the game's faulty performance.

To whom it may concern,
The account 'spiderpig106' belonging to my son was hacked (email address [redacted]) after being contacted on Discord by someone who claimed the account had been reported mistakenly. They requested a list of Steam purchases to resolve the issue, which unfortunately was provided. This information was likely used by scammers to take over the account, changing the email and password. When we finally noticed the Steam email notifications, all changes had been completed, making it impossible for my son to access his account. I am hopeful that you can assist in resolving this matter. If you require additional information or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.

I made a 45 euro purchase on Steam on February 1, [redacted]. To do so, I had to add funds to my Steam wallet as direct purchase wasn't an option. When I added the final 10 euros, the transaction failed but the money was deducted from my bank account. I contacted Steam support regarding my purchase, and a bot mentioned that the funds were with the bank. However, after speaking with a bank representative, they indicated that they did not possess the funds, suggesting that Steam has them instead.

Someone mistakenly reported my account for illegal activities on Steam. They confused me with someone else who scammed them. Steam Support contacted me about this issue, and I need to act quickly to prevent any suspension or ban. I'm concerned that the person who scammed them is impersonating me and causing trouble. How do I contact Steam proactively to clarify the situation? Thank you.

I am encountering an issue with Cyberpunk [redacted] on my PC. I purchased the game, downloaded and installed it, but I am unsure how to apply the necessary patches to run it. Upon launching, the game only displays a "play now" button along with a list of hotfixes and patch updates, which seem to be reviews from developers rather than actual downloads. Despite researching online for a solution and redownloading the game, I cannot find where to obtain or how to install these patches. I am eager to play the game and have confirmed that my PC exceeds the recommended specifications with up-to-date drivers. Any guidance on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance. - A.G.

Hello, my "Steam" account "samoaa" was hacked by someone from Russia. I hadn't used it in over 5 years, and now when I try to log in, everything has been changed. My brother found the account in his friend list under the name "Шilo." I believe the account was originally registered with the email "[redacted]," but it has been altered. I used to play a lot of "Dota 2" on this account and had two Arcanas, one for "Legion Commander" and one for "Phantom Assassin," which seem to be missing now. I would appreciate any assistance in reclaiming my account. Thank you. Apologies for any language errors, English is not my native language.
