I need assistance urgently as I cannot resolve this matter through conventional means. The problem relates to my account (JPerkWasTaken) as it was compromised after I followed a trade link that redirected me to a fake site, not Steam as I believed. The original email linked to the account was [redacted], which has now been altered by the unauthorized user who changed the login details, including the password and Steam Guard device. Unfortunately, I cannot reset the password as I no longer have access to the email or associated phone number. I have reached out via Twitter (@JPerkWasTaken) seeking help, resorting to using my other Steam account (jconwastaken) for communication since it's connected to the compromised account, evident by access to the games. I can provide email evidence of purchases and notifications regarding unauthorized account changes to prove ownership if necessary. The fraudster has also used [redacted] for a new Steam account, complicating password reset attempts. Your assistance in resolving this matter and enhancing user support for individuals facing similar situations, unable to log in or secure their accounts, is greatly appreciated.

I bought a $[redacted] Steam Wallet gift card at the Walmart in South Sioux City, NE. Upon entering the codes, the system said they've already been used. As a result, the recipient is upset, and I feel like I've lost $[redacted]. I have the card and receipt as proof of purchase. I would appreciate it if the code could be activated or replaced with a new one. If not, I request a refund. This is my first experience purchasing from Steam Wallet, and I'm disappointed with the outcome.

Why is it so difficult to make a purchase? I'm attempting to purchase a gift card for someone who doesn't have a Steam account yet. However, I am frustrated by the limited options provided: redeeming a physical gift card or adding funds to a Steam wallet. Most companies offer the option to purchase credit with a code to give as a gift. Steam should consider providing more conventional payment methods or improving its store layout. Due to this inconvenience, I will be spending my money elsewhere. Please address these issues promptly.

I purchased a $[redacted] Australian dollar Steam card at J B Hi Fi in Western Australia for my friend in Brazil. However, he encountered an issue where the card had already been redeemed, and the balance showed in $[redacted] American dollars instead. J B Hi Fi suggested that I reach out to Steam for assistance. I am hoping for your help to resolve this matter. If possible, I would prefer to receive two $50 dollar Steam cards instead. The card number is LK2M5-5QABG-GA93R, and I have the receipt. The staff at J B Hi Fi confirmed that all numbers and letters were accurate. Please assist me. Thank you.

My son was contacted through Discord by someone he believed was a Steam representative named Christean Commer. The individual claimed there were scammed items on his account and threatened to ban him from Steam if he didn't comply. Misguidedly, my child provided this person with his account login details, leading to the individual taking control of the account. The account number is Ibork23, which has now been changed, and all the purchased games have been taken. Is there any way to restore the account?

I bought the game "Teardown" late on December 12th. The next day, after playing for about 3-4 hours, I tried to get a refund due to the game continually crashing. Although I went over the 2-hour playtime limit, most of it was spent troubleshooting the game, and I am well within the 14-day refund window. My initial refund request was also within 24 hours of purchase. After being denied twice, I tested the game on another computer, adding up to about 5 hours of play, with the same issues persisting. This leads me to believe the problem is with the game, not my systems. Despite making two more refund requests, I keep getting the same automated response. I am seeking assistance from a real person to address this refund request, as I feel it is justified.

Hello,
I recently noticed that my Steam account, dhaval87, has had its email address and phone number changed without my knowledge. The current information is incorrect, leading me to a different Steam account when I try to recover it using my email address. I need help retrieving my actual account so I can resume playing with my friends. Your prompt assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I purchased Cyberpunk [redacted], but the transaction got stuck in processing after using iDeal. Eventually, Steam closed without the game appearing in my library but showing under Steam support. They advised me to repurchase the game, and I did, only to face the same problem. As a result, the price of Cyberpunk has been taken twice from my account, with no game received. I am seeking a refund for both transactions.

My account was hacked, and the email was changed, leaving me unable to access it. I can provide the old email and account name for verification. I am not sure if my phone was linked to the account. The hacker changed the account name to something offensive. I have been searching for support with no luck. The account name used to be "itsdread." This incident has cost my family hundreds of dollars, and it is distressing. The email provided in this message is my personal email, not the one associated with the hacked account.

To the Concerned Party,
I recently discovered that my long-standing Steam account, which I believe dates back to [redacted], was compromised today. Someone gained access to my login details through a website security breach. Within minutes, my Steam password, recovery phone number, and email address were all changed. Although it seems like only my account information was affected, as a precaution, I have already cancelled my debit card and begun updating passwords for associated accounts.
My username on the platform is andereriblob, and the email linked to the account is eric.anderson@aya,yale.edu.
I appreciate any assistance you can provide in this matter.
Sincerely,
Eric Anderson

I am encountering difficulties installing Sims 4 on my MacBook via Steam. I bought the game, and it appears in my library, but I can't click on the grayed-out install button. The message suggests the game is for Windows, and I never came across an option for an iOS version. I've spent an hour trying to resolve this but have found no solutions. I eagerly await your response. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Darshit Gadhiya, using the username darshit1803. I purchased the F12020 game in July. I am resetting my laptop because of a Windows issue, which will format my whole "C drive" with the game data. Do I need to repurchase the game to download it again?
I have a backup of my C drive on another drive. Can I install the game from there, or do I have to download it from the website? If downloading from the website is necessary, please provide instructions.
Thank you,
Darshit Gadhiya

I received three $50 Steam Gift cards as Christmas presents. I successfully redeemed the first card; however, the other two cards have defective verification codes with faded and scratched-off characters. One of the codes also has smeared ink, making it challenging to read the characters accurately. I would appreciate assistance with resolving this issue.

I received three Steam Gift cards as holiday gifts, each worth $**. Redeeming the first card went smoothly, but unfortunately, the verification codes on the other two cards are unreadable because they are faded or scratched off. The ink on one card is smeared, making it hard to make out the characters. I would appreciate it if I could get the codes for the affected cards so that I can use the funds my family gifted me.

I need help logging into my account. I created this account 4 or 5 years ago, but I can't remember the password and no longer have access to the associated email. I recently added 20 leva to this account, but unfortunately, I now can't withdraw it due to regional restrictions on kiosk transactions, as indicated by Steam support. The account name is roskata22, and the email domain used is abv.bg. I am seeking assistance to verify my ownership of the account so I can access the funds.

I am dissatisfied with your refund policy. After being a loyal customer for over a decade, my spouse and I received an inadequate response from your refund department regarding my issue with Dark Souls 3. I have spent three frustrating hours attempting to resolve the game loading problem with numerous restarts, which is unique to this particular game. I am confident the issue lies with either Steam or the game itself, as I have not encountered similar problems with any other games purchased through Steam in the past. I am contemplating switching from Steam to a different platform and sharing my negative experience through online reviews to caution others about the lack of proper customer service and refunds in such situations.

I purchased American Truck Simulator through Amazon. After installing the game, I was prompted to log out of Steam. When I tried to log back in, I had to reset my password. I successfully changed my password, but when I tried to log in again, it kept saying my username or password was incorrect. This situation is frustrating. I am wondering why I need to pay $5.00 to access other tools and features on Steam?

My account has been hacked, and the contact information has been altered. Someone claiming to be from Valve used my friend's account to contact me, stating my account had been reported for something I didn't do. The person they directed me to was a scammer asking for over $[redacted], which I cannot afford. I need assistance changing both my password and email address to log them out of my account so I can regain access.

I had trouble accessing my first account, 18127home. After not receiving a Steam Guard code, I created a new account which worked. However, when I tried to sign in later using my email, I couldn't recall the account name due to having two accounts linked to one email. I kept creating new accounts but have been unable to log into any of them since then.

Hello,
I am seeking information on how to use digital codes to purchase games on Steam. Despite my efforts, I have not found a clear answer online. I intend to use digital codes for game purchases but do not have a Visa or debit card. Can the amount in my Steam wallet be used to make the purchase? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
