Subject: Issue with Microsoft Flight Simulator [redacted] Purchase
My name is Ruth Wheatley, and on December 25, [redacted], I allowed my son William Wheatley to purchase Microsoft Flight Simulator [redacted] as a Christmas gift. We have been facing installation issues and contacted customer support for help. However, we were informed this morning that we are not eligible for a refund.
Despite dedicating hours to troubleshoot with our internet provider, we discovered that the problem lies with the game itself. Although you mentioned William played for 17 hours, that time was spent trying to download, not play the game. We even tried a direct connection with an HDMI cable to the modem, but the download still failed.
It is evident that the game is faulty, and we are disappointed with the lack of assistance. We hope to hear back from you soon to resolve this matter promptly.
Thank you,
Ruth Wheatley

I purchased a $[redacted].00 Steam card from Walmart. My sister bought it for me using her debit card, but unfortunately, she lost the receipt. I sent her a picture of the card with the scratched-off area, but without the receipt, she can't redeem it. I am looking for guidance on how to get a refund credited back to my sister's debit card so I can purchase another card with a receipt for her to use.

Hello, I am seeking assistance regarding my Steam account. Today, someone accessed my email and changed the associated email address for my Steam account to theirs. Although they did not alter the name or password, this action prevents me from changing the password and email back. Consequently, my account is now under their control, and it seems they are waiting for me to overlook this theft so that they can access my purchased games. I am reaching out for direct support from Steam as their regular service is unable to verify my identity. Currently, I have attempted two recovery methods. The first involves verifying through PayPal, but the system indicates, "Steam was unable to verify the PayPal account." The second method is to fill out a ticket with details such as the previous email, my name, surname, and the transaction code of my last PayPal purchase. Unfortunately, after entering the new email and verification code, I encounter an error regarding a nonexistent captcha, hindering my progress. I fear I may lose my account permanently if the system remains uncooperative. I am in need of your assistance to establish communication with Steam support and progress through a manual recovery process. Your help in opening this channel would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello,
I have been a Steam customer in the US for several years. Recently, I built a Gaming PC for a friend in Colombia. I created a Steam profile using my information from the US to purchase games for him. I also created a Gmail account in his name to verify the Steam account. Unfortunately, now that the PC is in Colombia, Gmail cannot verify either of us as the owners of the email, making it impossible for my friend to access his Steam account. I need help changing the email address associated with his Steam account from [redacted] to [redacted] so he can log in from Colombia. Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Angel M. (savage_x_)

My right Valve Index controller's trigger button is malfunctioning. It sticks and doesn't always register input correctly. Despite no visible damage, it started acting up recently. I've attempted to order a replacement (Serial Number: FKR93200BF7), but encounter an error each time due to supposed shipping information verification issues. I've already contacted customer support with the same details. However, I'm still awaiting an email confirmation at [redacted] or [redacted] Thank you for your assistance.

I purchased four $[redacted] Steam cards from Walmart in Flagstaff, AZ on February 19th, around 8:00-9:00 PM. Upon scratching and sending the card pictures as a gift to my friend, we discovered they were already redeemed when he tried to use them. Walmart informed me they couldn't refund them once scratched. I value hard-earned money and wish to resolve this before seeking legal help. I trust in what I buy as a consumer and would appreciate your assistance. I am willing to provide receipts and card numbers. Thank you.

Two years ago, my account on Dead by Daylight was banned because I accidentally left it logged in at a friend's house. They might have accessed it through family sharing or their own account, leading to the ban. I contacted the DBD support team to explain the situation, but they explained that the ban was connected to the other account involved in the family sharing. They mentioned that for me to be unbanned, the other person first needs to have their ban lifted. I haven't played for two years, but it's still my favorite game. I'm requesting assistance to sever the connection between our accounts or have the other person unbanned temporarily to issue a fresh ban. This game means a lot to me, and I hope you can understand my situation. I didn't intend for any wrongdoing; I simply forgot to log out that day. Thank you.

I fell victim to the Mayor Carol scam. Initially, someone falsely reported my Steam account, then reached out on Discord to apologize and provided a link to the authentic Mayor Carol Steam page, which cannot receive messages. They urged me to add them on Discord, where I discovered they were an impostor. I regret falling for their account verification scheme, resulting in the disappearance of my account. I am eager to regain access to my account and have any unauthorized purchases reversed. Across platforms, I go by the username doctorbattle, with matching profiles on Twitch and Twitter. On Steam, my profile picture is of Ludwig Ahgren, and I serve as a moderator in Ludwig Ahgren's chat. I can repeatedly verify my identity as doctorbattle. Assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I recently applied for a refund for Call of Duty Black Ops 3, which was denied. I spent 13 hours playing, but 7 were trying to fix various issues. I submitted three refund requests and two emails to Steam support explaining the problems. The game was fine until a Steam update caused it to crash on launch. I am frustrated as I can't play the game, and it's not my fault. I've been a Steam customer since [redacted] and never faced such service issues. I just want a refund for an unplayable game due to an update issue. I've spent hours troubleshooting, changing settings, reinstalling, and even testing on another high-end PC. The error code 03EAZ keeps occurring. I'm reaching out for help after three months of trying to resolve this. Thank you for any assistance.

I accidentally purchased the "Status Prime" in Counter Strike intending to buy the Broken Fang operation pass but now I can't remove it. I activated the gift, but it doesn't show in the recipient's inventory or history for a refund. The gifted account already has over [redacted] hours with Prime Status for a year, so buying it was pointless. I'm willing to prove my situation if needed. I tried requesting a refund from the gift recipient's account, but with over [redacted] hours, it was denied. I don't want to lose my Prime Status but want a refund for the mistaken purchase. I'm unsure how this was allowed since I already had Prime Status. Can you assist me in resolving this issue and getting a refund? Thank you for understanding my problem.

I mistakenly purchased the "Status Prime" in the Counter-Strike game thinking it was the Broken Fang operation pass. However, I want to request a refund as I already have the Prime Status for over a year on the recipient's account, making the purchase useless. I tried to refund it on the recipient's account, but it doesn't show in their gift history. My attempts to refund it myself were denied due to exceeding the 2-hour limit. I am willing to provide any necessary proof. I don't want to lose my Prime Status but would like a refund for this duplicate purchase. If further clarification is needed, I can provide additional information or even screen share to resolve this issue.

Between [redacted] and [redacted], I used a laptop for my Steam account until its battery failed due to damage, rendering it unusable. Despite always using the same email, upon getting a new laptop in [redacted], I discovered I couldn't access Steam due to not receiving a Steam Guard code. After investigating, I learned my email was changed in [redacted], but I'm unsure if it was by me or due to hacking. Unfortunately, I can't access my account as it redirects me to the community support page without allowing me to log in. My Steam username is Obeytrusty7, and I'm eager to regain access to play Gmod. I have evidence to verify my ownership of the account, and I hope to pick up where I left off.

My DMDSM account linked to this email has been completely stolen, and the phone number associated with it has been changed as well. I had access last night, but today on March 7, [redacted], I no longer can log in. Steam sent me an email notifying me that my account information was altered, which I did not authorize. This security breach is concerning.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated. The email address associated with my Steam account has been changed without my permission. I am writing to ensure the security of my account. If you did not authorize this change from the IP address in (country name), please change your Steam password and consider updating your email password to protect your account.
Thank you.

I am unable to access my old account and the email associated with it is inaccessible. Losing access to a name I've used for almost 50 years is frustrating, especially since I've also lost access to a game I purchased. My current account is [redacted], and my previous accounts are yaitsmi and yaitsmi1 with [redacted] My Yahoo account was hacked, and despite my attempts, Yahoo has not responded to help me regain access. I simply want my original name back and to merge the game I purchased with my current account. I own the Skyrim game disk and have the number, but I find it unnecessarily complicated to have to use Steam to enable it. The current support system has not been helpful, which is why I hesitate to buy more games through this platform. Just to note, I do not have, and will not use, a cell phone.

Hello, this is my first time using Stream. I was asked by a seller to pay with a Stream gift card. I bought a $50 gift card from Walmart. After buying it, the seller wanted me to send a copy of the receipt and a picture of the back showing the verification code. I complied, but the seller claimed the card was already used. I checked with Walmart, and it showed insufficient balance due to deactivation failure. The seller, Matt Nicholas from Charleston, insists he didn't receive the money. I'm Donald Reed from Myrtle Beach. This incident occurred within 30 minutes from buying the card. Can Stream trace where the funds went? The code on the back of the card is: VID7Q 68RI9 328GD. It's my first time using Stream, hoping for a resolution.

My account got hacked and eventually banned for unknown reasons while I was inactive for a long time. I reached out to Steam support multiple times with no assistance. My inventory is also frozen for unknown reasons, which seems unfair and possibly illegal. I hope to connect with a helpful Steam representative to address these issues. Thank you in advance.
Revised support ticket:
"I had a VAC ban on my account years ago without any reasons given. My account was hijacked twice, with the second time leading to the VAC ban on CS:GO, which was not my doing. I am only interested in managing my items, not playing the game, but I can't access my inventory due to this unjust situation. I request the ban to be reversed, or the value of my CS:GO items to be credited. If necessary, please provide a contact number for further discussion. Thank you."
"My account, which I am using to submit this ticket, was compromised in the past twice, leading to the hijacking of my inventory. Steam resolved the issue before, but this time my inventory is frozen with a ban related to CS:GO which occurred without my involvement. Despite my account being hacked, no action has been taken by Steam support, unlike previous incidents. It has been a few years, and I am only looking to access my inventory for selling purposes. I hope you can investigate and lift the freeze. Thank you for your attention."

Hello Steam, I require help as I fell victim to a scam a few days ago involving an item and skin worth over $[redacted]. The scammer cleverly utilized the name and picture of another online trader's bot, which led to my confusion when I accepted the trade link from what I thought was the legitimate trader's bot for a nice skin. However, it turned out the scammer had replicated the same name and image, deceiving me into unknowingly trading with them. Unfortunately, I only realized I had been scammed after accepting the trade and checking my skin. It would be beneficial if you could enhance your security measures regularly to prevent such hacking and scams. I am curious why Steam allows level 0 accounts to trade with higher-level users, as it seems to facilitate scams. It would greatly help if your system could detect and prevent trades with scammers to reduce losses for victims.
