My grandson and I purchased a Steam product, Foundation, unaware that it was not compatible with Mac. We promptly filed a refund request within 20 minutes of buying it. Valve/Steam claimed we missed the response period, but we did not. We are seeking a refund to buy a different Mac-compatible game from Valve/Steam without losing our money.

Hello. I am experiencing issues with a game I purchased. I bought PayDay2 Ultimate Edition on Steam, and I am encountering problems. Once the game finished downloading, it strangely showed that I had played for 21 hours, even though I hadn't. Upon trying to enter a match, the game repeatedly crashed and sent me back to my desktop. I attempted to request a refund due to these issues, but the inflated playtime is preventing me from doing so. Despite this, I am eager to play the game and am considering repurchasing it. I have done this with other games in the past, and it resolved the problems I was facing. I am contemplating the same approach for PayDay2. Can you offer any assistance? Thank you. - Y. L.

I fell victim to a scam, and as a result, my account got compromised. I feel incredibly distraught and foolish. I clicked on an external link, which led to my account being hacked - my phone authentication was disabled, email changed, and I lost access to everything. I have numerous emails about various discounts, a recently gifted game, and notifications about the unauthorized changes made to my account. I deeply desire to regain access to my account as it holds significant progress and time invested in various games. If there is a way to contact Steam support and potentially restore my account, I would greatly appreciate any assistance. I am feeling desperate and hopeless in this situation.

I'm having trouble with Fire Pro Wrestling World as I can no longer play 2 DLC packs I bought less than a month ago. Initially, the game worked fine, but now the screen is only showing as a thin bar. I've spent hours trying to fix it by restarting my PC, verifying game files, reinstalling the game, seeking help from others, and contacting the publisher, Spike Chunsoft, but nothing has worked. My PC is new and runs other games well, indicating the issue is with this specific game. I've tried to refund both the game and DLC packs twice, but received automated rejections. I believe my case is unique and should be refunded. I'm a loyal Steam customer seeking a resolution as I enjoyed the game and would not refund if I could play it. Thank you for your help.

I bought 2 $50 STEAM cards for my stepdaughter as a gift. She got an error message saying the password was wrong when she tried to redeem them. She tried entering the codes with hyphens, without, and in lowercase, but it didn't work. This issue also happened with a previous $50 and $20 card before. We need help resolving this as $[redacted] is a significant amount. Your help in fixing this problem would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, I recently bought two Steam gift cards totaling £70 for my friend. Unfortunately, when I tried to reveal the code on the cards, the first two digits were sticky and illegible on both the £20 and £50 cards. As a result, my friend couldn't use them, and when he attempted to enter the code, an error message saying "void" appeared due to numerous failed attempts. I'm concerned about the £70 investment and would appreciate assistance in resolving this issue. I have taken photos of the sticky residue for reference. Best regards, Babs Copeland

One of my Steam friends informed me last night that he mistakenly reported me for item duplication instead of another user. He mentioned reaching out to Steam Support to retract the report, but the report was not removed. Subsequently, I contacted the support agent he spoke with, who instructed me to verify my account through email and submit a purchase history scan. As the situation escalated, I was directed to a Discord channel as my account faced suspension until resolution. The support agent then advised me to purchase a $50 Steam gift card to address the issue. However, after multiple failed attempts with different denominations totaling $[redacted], I am concerned this may be a scam. My account has been compromised, and I am seeking assistance to rectify the situation promptly.

One night some time ago, I logged in to play Rocksmith without any issues. The next day, when I tried to log in again, it said my password and/or username was incorrect. I am certain they are correct because I logged in the night before. I followed the steps to change my password, but it still won't let me log in. I've attempted it two more times, but I still can't log in. I've been trying for weeks, but it's still not working. I need help to identify the problem and either delete my account and transfer my purchases to a new one if it was hacked, or reset whatever is causing the system to think I'm inputting incorrect information.

I, like others facing recent issues, discovered my account was compromised. Initially contacted by a Steam friend named "nignog," who claimed to have mistakenly reported me for TF2 duped items, advising me to speak to "Bird." Fearing a ban, I added them to rectify the situation, eventually giving "Database Program #[redacted]" my valuables (excluding keys). After they requested billing details, I realized it was a scam. I lost access to my account but retain Steam and Discord conversations as evidence. I can provide a list of lost items upon request.

While playing Apex Legends with my best friend, I was continually spammed by a random account on Steam. Despite my confusion at the unfamiliar name, the account claimed to have hacked my account, leading to a VAC ban and changes to my profile. A supposed VAC Bot #[redacted] instructed me to transfer valuable items to a friend to prevent loss. Following my friend's advice, I attempted to trade my Counter-Strike skins with him. Despite facing challenges with the Steam Guard app, the trade seemed unsuccessful. To my dismay, upon viewing the imposter account, identical to my friend's, I realized my important skins had been traded away. After investigating further and confirming my account was not VAC banned, I discovered the elaborate scam. Devastated by the loss of $[redacted] worth of CSGO skins, including a sentimental knife, I am determined to retrieve my belongings. I have documented evidence of the fraudulent messages and trades and seek assistance in reclaiming my items. Username: Monkeyboo3.

I bought 2 $50 Steam cards last night for my girlfriend. When she tried to use them, it said they were already redeemed. I think what happened is that I asked the cashier to ring them up separately, but they scanned both cards at once. Then they tried to cancel the transaction, but I suspect the cards were activated during the first scan, making it unable to cancel. I ended up paying $[redacted] for them. However, my girlfriend was informed they were already redeemed. The store mentioned that once the cards leave the store, they can't help. I am requesting a refund of $[redacted] or 2 new $50 cards. I would appreciate any assistance on this matter.

I requested my team to kick me from a match due to encountering hackers, yet I received a 7-day ban for being kicked from too many previous matches. Despite not being kicked since my last ban, I am frustrated with the unjust ban system in CSGO, which is filled with hackers. I am disappointed by Valve's lack of customer support and inability to address my concerns. Recently, I faced a market ban for no valid reason after depositing funds into my account. Despite having my PayPal account for 2 years, Steam support was unhelpful, directing me to forums instead. I am exasperated by these repeated issues and just want to be unbanned or have a proper conversation with someone at Valve.

I recently purchased a DLC for Microsoft Flight Simulator under the username Zaakit, and unfortunately, the game keeps crashing. I have requested a refund due to this issue. However, the system indicates that I have spent 7 hours playing with that DLC, when I believe I have only used it for less than an hour. I am confused about how the system tracks which DLC I am using and if it simply assumes based on my gameplay. I am hopeful that this misunderstanding can be resolved with a refund. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Zaakir

I planned to sell my Steam account to a friend because I no longer needed it due to selling my computer. However, my account contained valuable items like a CS:GO knife and numerous games. Sadly, my friend informed me that the account got banned without providing many details. The ban seems to be related to attempted credit card payments, possibly due to exceeding limits. Now my friend refuses to complete our deal. I am seeking advice on how to resolve the ban to either sell the account to someone else or retain it to not lose its value. Any guidance on recovering the account would be highly valued. Regards, Carson

I would like to request a refund for my purchase of the 'Conqueror's Blade - explorer's edition'. After researching on the Steam discussions, I discovered that other users were able to obtain refunds to upgrade their version of the game. I have reached out to individuals on the Steam forums who successfully received refunds and subsequently purchased the upgraded version. Since there isn't an official upgrade system in place, the developers suggested to request a refund and then repurchase the desired edition at full price. Given that the game is not officially released yet, I believe I should be eligible for a refund and would like to follow the same process as other Steam users to upgrade my edition.

I downloaded Rust two days ago, but it kept crashing when I tried to run it. I requested a refund and then decided to download it again to try once more. Unfortunately, I still couldn't get it to run properly despite multiple attempts to troubleshoot. I couldn't even join a server to play the game without it crashing. After spending all day yesterday searching for a solution, I reluctantly gave up. However, I realized later that I had already spent over 2 hours in-game trying to fix it, making me ineligible for a refund. The $28 I spent on Rust is a significant amount for me, and it feels like a wasted expense. I would greatly appreciate it if I could be refunded. Thank you, Thomas.

Hello Support, I have experienced multiple instances where I was unexpectedly logged out of my Steam account, prompting me to reset my password through the email recovery process using my email address [redacted] Despite resetting the password successfully three times as a result, the issue persisted and I found myself logged out once again. Upon attempting to log back in, Steam indicated that my email was not registered, which was confusing given that I had received three emails with codes to reset my account. Upon checking my credit card statement, I discovered that an unfamiliar email address was associated with my account, masked with asterisks, but the first letter indicated it was not mine. My Steam account name is Checovskiy, and the registered email address is [redacted] The games in my library include PUBG, Witcher3, Mordhau, and Hitman2. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue promptly and sending the necessary instructions to my email so I can access my account again. Thank you.

I encountered an issue while trying to clear the cache on Steam. This action caused me to be logged out and unchecked the "remain logged in" box. Subsequently, I forgot my password, but this was easily resolved by initiating a password reset through my usual email. Upon receiving the confirmation code and successfully resetting the password, I was unable to log back in. Despite being certain of entering the correct details, the system informed me that the email/account name/password was incorrect. I attempted to reset the password three times, only to encounter the same issue repeatedly. After being informed that I reached the limit for password changes, I reached out to Steam support for assistance. However, the responses I received simply provided instructions for the same password reset process I had already followed multiple times. I am hopeful that reaching out here may offer a solution to this ongoing login problem.

Hello, I need assistance regarding a situation where I unknowingly purchased a fraudulent steam gift card from Walmart in Ontario, Canada. The scam involved an individual posing as an insurance employer, offering me a job, sending a fake check for $3,[redacted] CAD from "Halwell Mutual Insurance Company," instructing me to deposit it, withdraw the funds, and purchase steam gift cards which were then sent to them after scratching off the details. I have reached out to the authorities, provided all evidence including receipts, emails, fake phone numbers, and the gift cards. My bank and the retailer have been unable to assist me. I am hopeful that by tracing the usage of these gift cards, the scammers can be located. Any help in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, F.U.
