I am an unauthorized subscriber to Spotify and would like to request the cancellation of the account associated with my credit card. I recently discovered that I have been charged $15.99 a month since July, totaling $[redacted].93. The charges appear on my credit card statement from Spotify USA, New York, New York.
I have never signed up for this service, as I initially believed it was linked to my daughter's account. However, she has her own separate Spotify account. To rectify this, I am seeking a full refund of the charged amount.
For verification purposes, I am providing my details:
Name: E. Burson
Date of Birth: August 6, [redacted]
Zip Code: [redacted]
Email Address: [redacted] or [redacted]
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

As a Spotify student account user, I understand that the student account expires after one year, requiring reapplication. In March [redacted], when my student discount ended, I was charged £9.99. Upon reapplying, I enjoyed the student price of £4.99 for the rest of the year. However, in March [redacted], after the year had passed, the plan reverted to £14.99. Unfortunately, amidst the chaos of the pandemic, I forgot to reapply for my student status. The issue at hand is why I was charged the highest premium plan of £14.99 instead of the regular price of £9.99. This seems unfair given the circumstances. The lack of clarity regarding the addition of Headspace, as mentioned only in the notification email, adds to the confusion. It is also perplexing why the US version with Hulu is promoted on all sites. I request a refund to adjust the price to £9.99 for the months when I was erroneously charged £14.99.

Dear Spotify Support,
I recently learned about Neil Young's ultimatum regarding his music on the platform, demanding the removal of the Joe Rogan Podcast. I sincerely hope you choose to keep Joe Rogan's content available, as I personally enjoy his thought-provoking podcasts. Joe asks pertinent questions without appearing biased, or if there is any bias, it leans slightly left.
It's essential to resist cancel culture and uphold everyone's right to free speech, even when opinions differ. While I respect Neil Young, I believe Joe Rogan's content holds more significance. Should Mr. Young decide to pull his music, let him do so.
As a Family Physician who has cared for countless COVID-19 patients since the pandemic's onset, I operate my clinic seven days a week, providing care to both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. While I recommend vaccination, I respect patients' autonomy in making their health decisions.
Regarding the Omicron variant, I have observed milder symptoms in both vaccinated and unvaccinated patients, primarily affecting the upper respiratory tract. This surge in cases, irrespective of vaccination status, may expedite reaching herd immunity.
Personally, I, along with my family, opted to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and booster. I allowed my staff to make their vaccination choices, considering the availability of effective treatments for COVID-19 patients, including free monoclonal antibody therapies.
Best regards,

Hello, I am Raelle. In May [redacted], I requested my sister to cover my Spotify Premium subscription for that month only. Subsequently, I switched to using my PayPal account, linked to my own card. However, my sister continued to be charged for four additional months even after I removed her card from the account. Her card was only intended for a one-time payment. I suspect her payment details were stored and used when my own card had insufficient funds, without my knowledge. This mix-up has caused confusion and frustration between us. I am seeking a full refund of the charges taken from her account. I kindly ask for Spotify's assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you.

Dear Spotify Team,
I am reaching out to express my love for your service. I have a deep concern regarding the presence of the Joe Rogan Podcast on your platform. The recent departures of Neil Young and Joni Mitchell and the potential for further backlash from other artists highlight the urgency of this matter.
It is distressing to see a platform I have supported for years deviate from its music-centric roots. Joe Rogan's dissemination of misinformation, especially regarding health-related topics, poses a serious risk to the public. I strongly believe that promoting false information is a disservice to your users and could have severe consequences.
As a paying customer who values the music experience you offer, I urge you to prioritize quality content. Many individuals, including myself, have started considering alternative music streaming services due to these concerns.
I kindly request transparency regarding your plans to address this issue. I hope for a resolution that aligns with your original purpose of providing exceptional music streaming services.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon,
A loyal Spotify user

I previously had a Spotify account linked to my PlayStation account, but now I can't access it. An agent yesterday told me there was no linked account and ended the chat. However, when I tried signing in to my new account, it still showed an account linked. I only have access to Spotify through the old account I no longer use. I have a new Spotify account linked to my email [redacted] I deleted the old Spotify account 30 minutes ago, but my PS5 still shows it as linked. PlayStation mentioned they couldn't unlink it from their end. I need my [redacted] to be unlinked from my PlayStation account so I can add my new Spotify account.

I have reviewed the new COVID rules implemented by Spotify in response to the Joe Rogan situation. One notable rule states that Spotify will take action against contributors spreading false information about diseases like AIDS, COVID-19, and cancer, as well as promoting unsafe treatments and vaccines. I am concerned about the mention of encouraging the consumption of bleach, which I believe is aimed at President Donald Trump. The accusation that President Trump endorsed drinking bleach is incorrect, but the media failed to clarify this. I conducted thorough research, including reviewing the press conference transcript and video, which confirmed that President Trump never made such a statement. I urge Spotify and GetHuman to verify this information to prevent spreading misinformation. I hope my message reaches the appropriate parties at Spotify.

On January 22, [redacted], I added two $60 Spotify gift cards to my account, each covering a year's worth of Premium Service starting on 2/6/[redacted]. Despite seeing the confirmation and receipts, I have been getting alerts about my account expiring soon. I spoke with "Patricia" from Spotify on January 30th, who reassured me that everything was in order after I provided a screenshot showing the conflicting information. However, I am now facing a pop-up message while listening to music warning me that my account will expire in three days and my saved songs might be lost. This is causing me a lot of stress, and I need assistance to prevent any deletion of my music from a paid account.

My grandson, Clayton B., subscribed to Spotify last fall and canceled in November using my account. However, Spotify has continued to debit $10.71 from my account for the past three months, totaling $32.13, despite the cancellation. I am Arthur B., and I am retired and on a fixed income. I have spoken with customer service through chat, and they keep insisting I open an account, pay $1.00, and then cancel it. I am hesitant to proceed with this. Please assist me in resolving this issue.

My concern is the recent controversy involving Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and Joe Rogan. It seems unnecessary for Young and Mitchell to criticize Joe Rogan and demand his removal. Joe's openness to different ideas and his willingness to discuss topics like Covid-19 without getting defensive should be appreciated. While Young and Mitchell may have strong opinions, they too should recognize the value of diverse perspectives. In the end, it's essential to respect each individual's stance, even if they come from different generations or backgrounds. Joe's approach to addressing topics without hostility is commendable, and it's important to acknowledge that he stands by his beliefs. The ongoing debate about the relevance of opinions from artists versus commentators should not overshadow the importance of dialogue and mutual understanding.

I wanted to share with you that I usually use the free version of Spotify just to listen to the Joe Rogan experience. After hearing a clip titled “hello friends,” I felt compelled to upgrade to premium as a way to support the show. While I typically use Pandora for music and don't mind ads, I believe in the importance of supporting Joe Rogan's podcast. This is the first time I've paid for a service like this, but I wanted to show my appreciation for his content. I find Joe Rogan amazing, and I enjoy listening to his conversations. I'm happy he found a supportive team at Spotify, and I feel their platform is crucial for his content to thrive. Although I usually don't pay for premium services, I chose to do so to support his program. I'm grateful for providing a platform for these discussions. Thank you!

I have concerns regarding Josh Rogan's use of derogatory language and Spotify's response to it. Paying him a large sum of money to apologize seems inadequate, similar to Trump's stance on white supremacists. Allowing racism under the guise of freedom of speech is concerning. I have decided to leave Spotify due to their association with such individuals, as it seems to condone their behavior. On a side note, my son, a doctor, confirms the safety and efficacy of vaccines. Spreading misinformation in the name of freedom is dangerous and could harm innocent people. It's disheartening to see such actions being taken lightly.

Hello, I would like to verify some information I recently came across. Initially, I was pleased with Spotify for taking a stand against cancel culture. However, it seems like there might be a shift towards giving in to these pressures. While I intend to remain a customer for now, I am disappointed and will not be recommending Spotify in the future. I believe we must uphold our freedom to choose and respect different viewpoints. Despite not always agreeing with Joe Rogan, I value diverse perspectives. I urge Spotify not to let a minority dictate what content we can access. It would be unfortunate if you were to face repercussions for standing firm. I personally ignore artists I don't like without demanding they be removed. Let's not yield to these pressures; good should triumph over evil.

Subject: Spotify Account Cancellation Issue
Dear Spotify Team,
I am writing regarding an issue with my grandson Clayton Bussard's account. Despite his efforts to cancel the account back in November, monthly charges of $10.71 have been deducted for December, January, and February. I have made numerous attempts to contact Spotify to address this matter to no avail. Your urgent attention to this issue is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Arthur B.

I am reaching out to discuss concerns regarding Joe Rogan being accused of spreading "misinformation" on Spotify. I believe Spotify has gone too far in trying to censor free speech. Yielding to "cancel culture" pushed by Neil Young and other artists is unjust. While everyone is entitled to their opinion, forcing your company to silence podcasters like Joe Rogan, who provide a platform to discuss various viewpoints, is not right. If you decide to censor Joe Rogan, I will withdraw my support from your company and switch to a different platform that values free speech. My son uses Spotify, and I will cancel his account if I see you supporting cancel culture. Thank you for your attention. - N.C.

I attempted to upgrade to Spotify Premium for an upcoming marathon this weekend. Unfortunately, I encountered difficulties as my account got logged out. To make matters worse, the Premium service ended up on my child's iPad, where there shouldn't be a Spotify account. Now, it appears I have two accounts, with the Premium on the wrong one. I am unable to log into the correct account and I'm struggling to find assistance. I urgently need to cancel Premium on my child's account and have it transferred to the right one. I also require help to regain access to my original account. This is time-sensitive, and I believe resolving this over the phone would be more efficient than via email.

Hello,
I discovered that my bank account was charged by Spotify for services I did not use. On Monday, February 14th, [redacted] at 11:35 pm, $18.19 was deducted by Spotify P19B. Despite being Thai and 54 years old, I do not have a Spotify account and do not use their services on my iPad or mobile phone. I plan to report this to my bank and would appreciate a refund to my account. Thank you for looking into this matter.
Sincerely,
