On October 5, [redacted], I noticed that the Plenty of Fish dating site was sending me likes and messages despite having those notifications turned off. Upon checking, I discovered that there was an active conversation happening using my profile name but someone else's picture. After informing the women involved that they were chatting with someone through a hacked account, I sought a way to reach out to POF. I am concerned about the security of my personal information and believe that if there was a hack, POF should notify their users. Hello, my name is Kristoffer. I recently noticed that I was charged $83.88 on my bank statement, which surprised me as I thought I would be billed monthly. Another issue I encountered was that after only two days of subscribing, I received messages from individuals offering certain services. This occurrence made me uncomfortable and led me to cancel my subscription. I can only log in using my laptop! I've deleted the app on my iPhone and tried logging in via the website on my phone, but despite using the same login details, POF keeps saying they're incorrect. I even created a new password on my laptop, which worked there, but when I use the new password on my phone, it's still not accepted. Please help, as I don't always have access to my laptop to log in.

My POF account, which I've had for a decade, has been hacked and taken over. The email associated with it is [redacted] The username is Single0756_DianaS. I am receiving messages I can't access because someone else is using my profile. My pictures are being misused. Kindly assist in regaining access to my account or delete the profile to prevent further misuse of my personal information. There are sensitive details about deceased family members due to cancer at the bottom of my profile. I am concerned about what the hacker might do with this information. I have not received any response from POF, and I am desperate for help in resolving this issue.

I believe my account has been hacked. I am unable to sign in as it does not recognize my username or password. The system claims my email is not valid, and someone has changed my password, even attempting to open a new account in my name. I need assistance as I was in conversation with several individuals, and now I am unable to contact them. Plenty of Fish should have a way for users to report hacked accounts. Despite trying for a week, I have not received any help from their support. I hope sharing my issue here will lead to a resolution, as I am eager to regain access to my account and continue communicating with others. Thank you.

On October 1st, I got an email stating my profile was updated and password changed. I haven't used the site recently, so I assumed my account was hacked. I've tried to reset my password multiple times, but the email link isn't being sent. Oddly, I'm still getting notifications on my phone about messages and profile likes. I want to regain access to my account, change the password and verify nothing malicious has occurred.

I have been trying to contact you since yesterday regarding my hacked email account. Despite receiving notifications of unfamiliar emails, I have been unable to reset my password successfully. It seems someone has accessed my account and I suspect they are not in the U.S. I urgently need to regain control as my personal information and photos are at risk. Initially, I had a positive experience meeting what I believed were genuine individuals on POS. However, my satisfaction has plummeted as the current people on the platform are not at all what I expected. Those I interacted with initially showered me with praise, making me feel special. Unfortunately, I was deceived, as the individuals I liked suddenly disappeared without a word. I would appreciate a refund to spare myself from the disappointment of receiving unsuitable matches. The situation has deteriorated, with communication from all matches ceasing entirely. This lack of accountability in taking people's money for your own benefit while causing embarrassment is inexcusable. I do not want to continue with this service. As a good person and Christian, I believe I deserve better treatment.

My account got hacked, and all my information, including email and password, was changed. Even my profile was altered to female, with new photos. I tried to log in to POF to fix it, but all my details were different, and I couldn't access my account. I paid for a subscription just five days ago, and now it feels like a waste of money. This situation has made me very unhappy. The $50 subscription fee feels like it has been taken from me unfairly. If this issue isn't resolved, I will consider taking legal action.

My account was hacked, and I am unable to access it to close it down. The individual changed my profile information, using my username linda2308 and my password harvest1. This breach on Plenty of Fish has left me feeling frustrated as I trusted it to be a safe platform. Luckily, a friend captured screenshots of the fraudulent profile. The person misrepresented themselves as a 52-year-old from Port Orange, instead of accurately stating Havant.

I have been happily married for 38 years and have never used POF. Recently, I have been receiving unwanted texts from gay men on POF claiming that I shared my number with them on the platform. They have been sending inappropriate pictures. I have contacted the police and my lawyer regarding this issue. I even received an offensive response when I confronted one of the individuals. I am determined to have my number removed from POF and I am considering legal action for harassment. I have saved the texts for evidence, especially from the number [redacted]. I have no idea how my number ended up on POF, but I want it removed immediately.

My profile on POF has been compromised, leading to unauthorized changes and impersonation. After regaining access, I noticed unusual activity with an influx of messages from men. The issue resurfaced today at 1:38 pm, locking me out once more. Upon contacting POF's help center, a sympathetic foreign representative acknowledged widespread misuse of my profile and offered assistance. However, he attempted to deceive me by requesting a money card from a local store, prompting me to end the call. This individual had even intercepted my communication with POF. Despite disconnecting from POF, my information is still being misused to deceive others. The situation is unsettling as my profile is being exploited for dishonest gains.

Hello. I have been attempting to contact for assistance for several months now. I bought POF services for $38.99 before tax for a 3-month period. Despite my purchase, I have not been able to access any features. It seems no different from using the free app. Subsequently, I paid $53.99 before tax for another purchase, but the situation remains the same. Hello, I am Audrey Fairchild, and my POF screen name is WittyBaby. Recently, within the past week, several men, including "Hans," have informed me that someone using the email [redacted] is falsely posing as me in their communications. This individual's emails are extensive and riddled with grammatical errors. As both a teacher and an associate MFT therapist, I take impersonating a licensed therapist very seriously, as it is a federal offense. The language used by the impersonator is juvenile, resembling that of a teenager or someone who is not a native English speaker. I hold a Ph.D. and teach English, so the disparity in writing style is evident. Some individuals who received these emails became suspicious and reached out to me directly. I can provide screenshots of the fraudulent messages sent on my behalf. Hans Amador, who reached me through Psychology Today using the email [redacted], showed concern and took the initiative to inform me. Despite his efforts, I feel professionally compromised by the imposter's actions. I urge POF to take action to bar this individual from the platform and pursue legal consequences. I set up a POF profile a week back, and it was removed after just two days. I didn't get a notice that any of my photos were inappropriate (they're not). I made a new profile two days ago with suitable photos, no emails, but now I can't access it. I can't make a new user ID and can't reset the email password for my old account, even after checking spam settings. I contacted customer service, and they sent me the standard link, but it's still not resolving the issue.

I am frustrated with the catfishing happening with your subscribers. Every interaction leads to me being deceived, and it's becoming unbearable. Despite inputting my preference for a 25 km distance, I am matched with individuals from New York, Alabama, and other parts of the US. The constant requests for money, phone numbers, and emails are all red flags of catfishing. This is my first attempt on a dating site, and it has been a disappointing and troubling experience. I need clarification on why this is happening and what measures are in place to prevent it.
