I recently discovered that £59.99 was withdrawn from my wife's bank account by Opodo Spain. My wife, who only speaks and understands Brazilian Portuguese, sought help to book a flight from Istanbul to Lisbon and paid £[redacted].00 for it. However, she did not authorize any additional charges to her account. Kindly refund the £59.99 promptly to her account. Thank you. Osvaldo Santos

I recently booked a round trip flight from London to North Carolina for December. Opodo notified me via email that Virgin Atlantic had changed my outbound flight, resulting in a 1-hour connection time which would be difficult due to immigration. I called Opodo for an alternative flight, experiencing a lengthy wait and multiple transfers without a resolution. On Tuesday (11/2/21), I called again, enduring a long wait until finally reaching a level 2 representative who acknowledged the issue with the short connection time. They suggested a three-part flight at an additional cost of £[redacted] per person. Frustrated, I decided to cancel and seek a refund, not wanting to continue with the booking due to this experience. I advise others to avoid using this company based on my interactions.

I submitted a complaint via Resolver on 16/11/21 and am following up. Today, 23/11/21, I spoke to a call center representative who informed me that complaints are handled via email only. Subject: Issue with Travel Agents Booking Reference: [redacted] I am contacting you regarding an incident with Opodo. They failed to notify me that my outgoing flight was canceled and rescheduled for the next day. While they claim to have sent an email on 8/10/21, I did not receive it. Despite other emails reaching me successfully, I did not get this crucial notification. I only became aware of the change when attempting to input my details on the BA site, discovering the rescheduling. Opodo only offered a refund after refusal to accommodate me on an alternative flight for the original date. This sudden change caused significant stress and expenses, as I had to book last-minute tickets with Icelandair at a much higher cost. The difference between the original BA tickets and the new ones amounts to £[redacted].98. I am requesting this reimbursement as compensation for their oversight. We recently booked flights from Leeds/Bradford to Lima departing on the 6th of January. We completed the transaction without being prompted for passport information. Subsequently, it was requested for us to receive our boarding passes. Unfortunately, we discovered my wife's passport lacks the required validity for Peru. We have applied for a new passport, but with only seven weeks left until our flight, the holiday period could delay its arrival. While we were offered a flexible booking, we declined at the time. Can we still change our booking to a flexible one? If so, what is the required notice period before the departure date?

I recently had a booking through Opodo with Reference No. [redacted] for a flight from Hong Kong to Trivandrum, with a layover in Singapore and Colombo. To my surprise, upon arriving at the airport in Hong Kong, I was informed that my flight to Singapore was cancelled, leading to a domino effect of missing connecting flights. The airline staff shared that Singapore no longer accepts transit passengers. Despite my confirmation just the day before departure, I was left stranded due to the lack of prior notice from Opodo. It is disappointing that my reservations were not canceled, causing this unexpected inconvenience. I am now left with no option but to seek a full refund for the entire booking. Your urgent attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

Booking Reference: [redacted] I recently booked a flight from EDI to JNB for November 28, [redacted], departing at 13:55. I made the payment online around 20:00 on Thursday, November 25, [redacted]. After learning about the new Covid variant in South Africa and the imposed restrictions, I visited your website to cancel my booking. I completed a cancellation form and was directed to a live chat with your bot. However, the bot was unhelpful and suggested waiting for a potential additional refund if I delayed my cancellation. Frustrated, I opted to wait. Despite multiple attempts to contact customer service, I have been unsuccessful due to high traffic volume. No progress has been made on my refund request. This experience has been incredibly stressful as your website claims the refund process is easy, which has not been the case. My only interaction on your website has been with KIRK, the bot, who continually repeats answers. I urge you to address this issue promptly. Regards, William Walls

I have been attempting to reach Opodo regarding changing my upcoming flights to Munich. The booking number is [redacted], with travel dates from London to Munich on 03/12 and returning on 05/12. Despite trying to contact them via phone and online, I haven't received any email with the available options as stated by their staff. I missed a call from one of their representatives who advised me to call the hotline. I initially requested the change through the app on Monday, 29th November.

My name is Nikolai Andreev, and I booked tickets to Ukraine through Opodo on 27/10. I paid for them, but on 26/11, another £59.99 was charged as prime. I did not sign up for any prime service and request a refund. Opodo's practice of charging extra without consent is misleading and infringes on my private data, which is confidential. This behavior is unacceptable and illegal. They are violating GDPR regulations and can face legal consequences for such actions.

Subject: Urgent Email for Management Attention I am extremely frustrated with your organization. I am currently in a high-risk area in Vienna. Your supposedly great app claims that flights can be changed through it, but it doesn't work. I have spoken to several employees who seem clueless about their jobs. As a nurse, I urgently need to return to Germany. I want to fly back tomorrow, as promised to me on the phone two days ago, on 12/03 at 12:30. I experienced a schedule change on my Wizz Air flight and had to cancel due to it not fitting my plans. Their customer service assured me that Opodo would handle the refund. I attempted to cancel and request a refund through Opodo's online platforms but was only directed to "Manage My Bookings," where I could not find a way to cancel or request a refund, only request an invoice. I also tried calling their "priority" phone line but no one answered. I am concerned about losing £80 unjustly in this situation.

I made a booking with Opodo on 15 November, unaware that the same flights had already been booked for me. I quickly requested a cancellation and refund, within 20 minutes of booking. However, I am still waiting to receive confirmation of the refund amount and the process from Opodo. The airline involved is British Airways, and both Opodo and British Airways are not taking responsibility for the refund, each pointing to the other. Opodo mentioned a refund of only £[redacted] out of over £[redacted] paid, but failed to provide a detailed breakdown despite my requests. I have asked for written confirmation of the refund as their terms and conditions do not mention flights being non-refundable. The flights are scheduled for 28 December, and I suspect they are delaying the refund to avoid issuing it within the necessary timeframe.

Due to the ongoing concerns about the current Omicron infection rates in the UK and France, as advised by our daughter living in the South of France, my wife and I have decided to cancel this booking. We are both over 70 years old, considered clinically vulnerable, and plan to remain active for years to come. I understand there will be a cancellation fee from the airline and your administration costs, which I kindly request to be detailed in your response. Thank you, J. Alcock.

After Ryanair canceled flight FR7753 from Marrakech to Madrid on January 23, [redacted], I am requesting a refund from Ryanair. They require me to provide the OTA (OPODO) and the PNR that the OTA assigned to that flight. Please send me the OTA information to proceed with my refund request. Hello, I wanted to share an update on our recent experience with Opodo regarding flights booked for December [redacted] and January [redacted] for two passengers traveling from Johannesburg, South Africa to Mauritius. Unfortunately, some of our connecting flights have been canceled due to sanitary restrictions. Despite receiving emails from the airlines informing us of these changes, we have been unable to board alternative flights. Our attempts to contact Opodo have been unsuccessful, as we have not received any updates or guidance from them. When reaching out to the airlines directly to cancel the flights, we were redirected back to Opodo for assistance. This has left us feeling uncertain about how to proceed, especially considering the challenges we face contacting Opodo from Namibia due to unresponsive phone numbers and an ineffective website.

I made a reservation through Opodo for a round trip from 7 December to 11 January [redacted]. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my plans due to delayed Covid test results. I reached out to Opodo on the same day, but despite calling repeatedly, trying online chat, and receiving no response so far. None of the phone numbers were answered, and I am unable to get any help in rescheduling my ticket or obtaining a refund. Interactions with an unhelpful chatbot have left me feeling frustrated and disappointed.

We reserved flights from Newark to San Juan, Puerto Rico with United Airlines for the outbound flight and Spirit Airlines for the return trip. Opodo indicated that carry-on luggage was included for the United flight but not for the Spirit flight, so we added two pieces of luggage for that leg. However, I recently received an email from United stating that carry-on luggage is not included and additional fees apply. This was contrary to Opodo's information, which clearly stated that carry-on luggage was part of the deal for the United flight. If we had known this beforehand, we would have planned our luggage differently. Unfortunately, the opodo website's chatbot doesn't address this issue, making it challenging to seek clarification or express our frustration.

Hello, I am having trouble locating my booking reference. On December 8th, I purchased four tickets for flights with the passenger listed as Aleksandra Andreeva. Flight details are as follows: January 8, [redacted]: 1. Sofia to Bergamo with Wizz Air 2. Bergamo to Budapest with Ryan Air January 10, [redacted]: 1. Budapest to Bergamo with Ryan Air 2. Bergamo to Sofia with Ryan Air I tried talking to the Opodo chatbot, but despite waiting for more than 24 hours, I have not yet received a confirmation email for these flights. Oddly, on December 8th, I was charged for all four flights. Can anyone assist me with this issue? Thank you.

Booking reference [redacted]: The airline changed my flight schedule, and although I agreed to it, I did not receive a confirmation. After contacting Opodo helpdesk, my booking was canceled and I was rebooked on the new flight. I paid for the rebooking and was informed that my initial fare would be refunded within 7 days. It has been 3 months, and I have not received the refund. I spoke with the helpdesk, and they said the refund was approved on 5/11/21, but I have yet to receive it. I had a challenging experience during my travel from Dubai to Jeddah to Malaysia and then to the Philippines. Due to an issue at the Malaysia terminal, I was unable to continue my journey as planned. Despite having the rest of my itinerary confirmed, I was not allowed to proceed further. I was left without a ticket and was unable to board my flight due to this unforeseen circumstance. I am seeking alternatives that would bypass Malaysia, such as a route from Dubai to Saudi Arabia and then to the Philippines, even if it incurs additional costs. Considering these challenges, I am considering requesting a refund as I was not able to utilize the services as intended.

Hello! I attempted to book a flight from Bucharest to Luxembourg for Anna Lytvynenko using the Opodo app. However, upon clicking the purchase button, multiple small payments appeared, some of which were flagged by the bank as potentially fraudulent. While most payments were reversed, the payment to Luxair went through and was not refunded. I encountered the same issue after unfreezing my card. Despite two successful payments to Luxair, the booking was not confirmed. I have tried to contact customer service for three hours to resolve the matter, but I can only reach a bot requiring a booking reference that I do not possess. I urgently need assistance to finalize the booking and recover the funds.
