I recently bought a miter saw from Michael Darvin a week back. He had purchased it for $[redacted], used it once, and decided to sell it for $85 in cash on the same day. He showed me the Home Depot receipt, which was on a card. However, I realized that the saw was a 4-inch cut whereas I needed a 6-inch one. Upon checking at Home Depot, I found the exact saw brand new in a box for only $65. The store would only offer me $65 in credit based on the receipt's value of $[redacted], refundable to his card within 90 days. I intended to buy the correct 6-inch saw for $[redacted], hoping for a $[redacted] credit. I tried to contact Michael Darvin from Southwest Ranches in Davie, FL through the app to sort out this issue, but he has not responded. I believe both of us could benefit if he returned the saw for $[redacted] at Home Depot. I am trying to reach out to him for assistance, but he is not replying to my comments on the app.

I used my own USPS label to ship an item, but the customer received it without paying me. The shipping cost was $25, but I only paid $11.70. The transaction (#[redacted]42) was canceled by OfferUp because I didn't use their shipping label. Despite the buyer not being refunded, I haven't received any payment. I've tried contacting OfferUp through calls and emails but haven't received a response. The buyer confirms he hasn't received a refund, and I'm left unpaid even though they got the item. I am Webster Lucas. I posted an ad on OfferUp. On November 26, [redacted], David Martinez visited my apartment and deceived me into thinking he made a fake payment of $1,[redacted] on Cash App. Customer service confirmed it was a scam as David's bank (allegedly Wells Fargo) did not complete the transaction. David never intended to pay for the rims; he exploited my age, being almost 70 years old. I am concerned about how many others he has deceived.

I have been charged by OfferUp for promoting my ad, but the category system is not displaying my BMW motorcycle correctly as it falls under "auto cars and vehicles." I have contacted them via email multiple times with no response. I am requesting a three-day promotion extension once my ad is correctly displayed. I was taken aback as I have always had a positive experience on the platform - maintaining a five-star rating and being on good terms with my customers. I recently made a purchase on OfferUp using the "Buy Now" feature for a MacBook Air M2 13.6 [redacted] from seller "Cajekri." After exchanging messages with the seller, they requested my phone number for shipping, but I explained that OfferUp handles the shipping information. Since the seller hasn't accepted my offer and is not responding to my messages, I believe it may be because they are new to OfferUp and unfamiliar with the process. I shipped a package last week after confirming with the buyer. However, after it was sent, communication stopped, and I am unable to reach them. The OfferUp app states the buyer has 2 days to inspect the item, but even after this period, the status remains as "set up deposit account to receive payment." I am frustrated as I had already done this before shipping. The lack of communication from the buyer and the ambiguity in the process is making me question if I have been scammed. The item I sold in-store is valued between $[redacted]-$[redacted], but I listed it for $[redacted] on OfferUp. Despite this, it seems that after shipping fees, I will only receive $77.

Hello, I purchased a sack purse from Delia on December 21, [redacted]. Initially, everything seemed fine, but the next day she informed me that the purse had been sold to someone else on a different site. I have some antiques I want to sell through your company. I completed the application on my iPhone and was prompted to include my credit card information. Despite showing that Amex was accepted, upon entering it, it was declined. The application assured that the card details would not be utilized. After the Amex rejection, I entered a Visa card that was accepted and then immediately charged $39.99. I managed to halt the transaction. Is this the standard procedure for conducting business with your company?

I listed my car for sale, a [redacted] Chrysler [redacted], about 4 or 5 days ago. After posting it, I couldn't find the ad. Assuming it needed time for approval, I waited. The following day, it still wasn't visible. Checking my dashboard, it confirmed it was posted; however, I couldn't locate it. On the 3rd day, a quick notification informed me it was on Offer Up. Surprisingly, I searched but couldn't find it there either. Despite my efforts, it remained elusive. On the 4th day, seeing 11 views on my dashboard, I still couldn't locate it. Starting to wonder if I mistakenly categorized it under something else, I am puzzled. Can anyone assist me in resolving this? The ad was posted on February 7th, visible somewhere, but remains a mystery to me.

I would like to report an unfortunate incident where I fell victim to a scam on this platform. I am deeply disappointed by how this system operates. It seems individuals can deceive sellers by pretending to be legitimate buyers, then after receiving the items, they file complaints to get refunds, essentially stealing the products. The company holds onto the payment for a couple of days, giving these scammers an opportunity to exploit the situation. In my case, not only did I lose my belongings, but the payment was also canceled, leaving me with no resolution or even a way to contact the scammer. I am left wondering where my money is and why these fraudulent activities are allowed to persist unchecked. I expect better security and assurance from this platform.
