I have been working for Preferred Radiology in East Brunswick since February as a per diem X-ray tech. Business seemed slow, and my hours decreased over time. Recently, I was informed that my employment would end, but I have not received payment for my last week of work. The employer claims he has no money and is not responding to my attempts to contact him. I am also owed pay for additional days worked. I am not the only one experiencing payment issues in the office. I am seeking advice on how to resolve this situation. Thank you.

I have received a determination letter regarding my benefits, instructing me to call [redacted] to speak with a representative. However, when I call throughout the day, the automated message tells me to call back the next business day, preventing me from accessing my benefits. I am frustrated by the lack of a human voice to explain the situation to and feel that workers in the labor institution are being paid to not answer calls, preventing those in need from getting assistance. This situation goes against the purpose of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, leaving me with no option but to wait endlessly listening to a machine. Please assist me in completing my claim as I have worked hard and now face obstacles in accessing the benefits I am entitled to. Thank you, James Lee.

In October [redacted], I was on unemployment for a few months before beginning per diem work. When I attempted to claim unemployment again after starting per diem hours, the system locked me out, assuming I had returned to work. At that time, I didn't pursue fixing it as I had enough hours. Now, due to the COVID-19 crisis, I'm no longer working at all.
I recently tried to reopen my existing claim and got a confirmation number. However, a week later, it still hasn't been refreshed. When certifying for weekly benefits, I still see the old message about appearing to have returned to work.
I've attempted to contact unemployment through email and phone, but no one has responded. I need assistance from someone who can manually address the issue preventing me from claiming benefits. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have been struggling to claim $[redacted] weekly from the Federal Extension approved in December. There seems to be a system glitch related to my anniversary date in October [redacted], requiring at least [redacted] dial attempts over 3 weeks to connect. Despite over 3 months passing, I repeatedly encounter an "Error" message while trying to claim my weekly funds. I have been informed by multiple representatives that this issue is a system glitch. To receive much-needed funds during this crisis, I ask for a swift resolution. While others were advised to wait two weeks without action, I feel I have been unnecessarily delayed for more than 3 months. I have already reached out to Governor Murphy and received instructions to contact NJ UMEMP for assistance over the phone. I cannot continue to be ignored by your office. Thank you. - Sandy Clark

I am currently unemployed and trying to claim $[redacted] per week from the Federal Extension approved in December. Due to a system glitch near my 1-year anniversary date in October [redacted], I have had difficulty accessing my funds. It takes over [redacted] dial attempts and up to 3 weeks to reach a representative. Since January 29th, every time I try to claim the funds, I receive a "SYSTEM ERROR" message. Despite being assured on February 4th that the issue would be resolved in 2 weeks, I am still facing the same error. This situation is critical as I need to take care of bills and support my family. I am seeking assistance as this extension was approved by the Governor. Thank you.

I am seeking assistance with my unemployment claim. I have been receiving benefits since April [redacted]. In December [redacted], I missed an email requiring e-adjudication. Since then, I have not been able to claim my benefits. Despite multiple calls to the reemployment call center, I have not received a call back within the promised 7-8 weeks. I was instructed to verify my identity with the fraud department, which I did on March 13, [redacted]. However, I am now being asked to verify my identity again through IDme.com, but I do not have my social security card. I have tried to obtain a W2 from the IRS for my social security number, but I only received the last four digits. I have complied with all the requests, and it's frustrating that after 24 weeks, I am still waiting for resolution. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.

I encountered an issue when trying to claim my weekly benefits. Upon visiting the website, I was informed to contact a representative to open a new claim. However, when I tried, it indicated that I already had an open claim and couldn't start a new one. Initially, I was meant to revert to state extended benefits, but after an update, I got locked out of my account. Despite my efforts in calling, emailing, and online certification over the past two weeks, I have been unable to reach anyone for assistance. I have diligently tried calling from 7:30 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, only to be met with a message to try again the next day. I urgently require help in unlocking my account to proceed with certifying. It has been three weeks of unsuccessful attempts, and I know others are facing a similar situation.

I submitted my claim on September 5, [redacted], completed the ID.me verification as instructed, and got verified. However, when I try to claim my benefits, I keep receiving messages indicating that benefits have been exhausted, the system is not working, and various other errors. Despite my attempts, I have been unable to reach a human to address this issue over the past two months. I am in urgent need of financial assistance as I am still unemployed. Even with the assistance of Legislator H. Schipisi's office, we have been unable to resolve this matter as they are now unable to contact NJ Unemployment by phone, and my emails have gone unanswered. The mounting medical expenses are draining my finances, and I am desperate for a resolution to my claim so I can access the benefits I am entitled to. I appreciate any assistance in sorting out this issue promptly. Thank you.

I lost all the benefits I was entitled to from unemployment. I should have received $24,[redacted] in total, with $10,[redacted] already deposited, and the rest should have been paid throughout [redacted], amounting to $[redacted].00 per claim plus pandemic assistance. I've been struggling for four months to resolve this issue. The latest step required was verifying my identity with id.me, which I completed. It's been 25 days, and I have not received any updates or payments.

As an adjunct professor at Montclair State University and a US Army veteran from the Vietnam era, I am seeking assistance with my delayed NJ DOL Unemployment claim. The claim, submitted correctly on June 2, [redacted], has been pending for 6 weeks. Despite complying with the requested details about my work hours and wages, reaching the NJ DOL Unemployment Department has been challenging. The voicemail continually advises calling back due to the high volume of calls.
I am eager to resolve this matter promptly as unemployment benefits are crucial. Your intervention in expediting the process would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Dr. John G. Garett
